Hi as your age is very less. If you dedicate you can lose weight fast start doing walking for 30-40 mins early in the morning have early dinner, don't sit for a long time keep moving sleep early. Eat non veg weekly once home made not outside, junk food. Do thyroid profile, lipid profile once -blood test.

Hi, As far as I know flax seeds are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which are otherwise predominantly found in fish. This has got nothing to with thyroid harmone. So you can consume these seeds without worrying about thyroid hormone. I'm not sure whther you can consume them daily or not. You can take the help of a nutritionist. Hope this helps. Regards

Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Read the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals.When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.

No. Its absolutely ok to have quit medications. But please remember to: 1) continue your exercises/ yoga. 2) modify your diet 3) monitor blood sugars regularly, preferably once every 3-6 months. 4) avoid alcohol & nicotine in all forms 5) sleep well 6) control stress. In whatever manner 7) think positive 8) smile. And be happy & healthy!

Honeyji, if hypothyroidism has been diagnosed then only treatment is to continue taking thyroxine tablets as you have been advised. This treatment is for life time. Normally there is no pain involved in this condition. It is better if you meet your doctor and sort it out. But treatment has to be continued without a break. Plus also avoid cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, mustard, peanuts, soya and soya containing products and coffee. Consume good deal of green vegetables, fruits, use whole grain flour for making chapatis and rotis.

Chubby cheeks are natural in some females. In some females they occur in adolescent age 15-20 years due to effect of hormones and proper diet due to fat deposition in cheeks which is known as buccal pad of fat. Once it goes away with dieting or with age progression, it (buccal pad of fat) does not come back. But if your parents (mainly mother) has chubby cheeks due to genetic factors and you also inherit that trait, you may make your cheeks chubby again by increasing your diet and by increasing fat in your diet but that may increase your body weight as well for which you have to do regular exercises. You can also get chubby cheeks by Butox treatment and also by cosmetic surgery when they may inject your body fat from abdomen into your cheeks.

Pain in the eyes and headache may have multiple causes associated with it. There are a few points you need to look at before jumping to any conclusions. Have you undergone an eye check up previously? is there any history of raised pressure in your eyes? do you have anybody in your family having raised eye pressure? do you suffer from recurrent cold, fever, cough, etc? do you have a lot of work/ study related stress? do you use glasses? the reason for asking all these questions is that headache and eye pain may occur due to various reasons ranging from change in glasses, sinusitis, migraine, glaucoma, tension, blood pressure and so on. The list is long. It would be a good idea to have a look at your eyes. This would help in coming to a decision whether your eye pain and headache is due to an eye problem. If you could use the video facility provided by lybrate and get in touch, I could probably guide you more accurately as to provide relief to your symptoms.

Hello, you may be having headache because of stress/ refractory problems/ any ENT problem kindly follow advises given below: you can take: 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ENT evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get BP checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis consult physician for further management.
