Whenever I try to eat more than regular I needs to go toilet immediately. Why this is happening?

MBBS
General Physician, Mumbai
You probably have an irritable bowel or some mild infection of gut. Its because of exaggerated gastrocolic reflex. Please eat a little less than your fill. Take probiotics like enterogermina, lactobacilli powder. You are lucky you don't have any other symptom.

Hello, Thanks for your query. Try an over-the-counter medicine containing simethicone, which helps to break down gas bubbles. You can try a process of elimination by substituting a gassy food for a non-gassy one, and see which one is giving you the most trouble. A few basic substitutions: • Rice milk for cow’s milk • Bananas, blueberries and melon for apples, peaches and plums • Gluten-free and spelt cereals and bread for wheat and rye products • Bamboo shoots, bok choy, carrot, celery, corn, eggplant, green beans, lettuce, chives, parsnip, pumpkin, and tomato for artichokes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, okra, onions, and peas. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care

From some time I am suffering from acidity problems digestive problem instead of eating green vegetables and all. What should I do doctor? Please suggest me something to make my stomach good.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello lybrate user- this will add to your surprise that according to ayurveda green leafy vegetables are not good for digestion. Contrary to allopathic thinking which promotes the use due to high iron content, in indian conditions excess use of leafy vegetables can cause, indigestion, acidity, diarrhea, kidney stone, worm infestation, dysentery, and even can lead to heart attack too with pre supported conditions. Follow this routine to make your stomach feel better- a) avoid excess water (not more than 2 lts per day) intake as it can cause indigestion by diluting gastric juices. B) fix your meal timings and take evening meals before 8 pm. C) avoid spicy diet and over eating. D) avoid late night workout (go to bed before 10: 30) e) use amlapitta mishran 2 tsp twice daily before meals.

My acidity problem started around jan 2013. Initially, I would feel too full or have slight burning sensation in the stomach after a heavy/spicy meal, which would further lead to a feeling of anxiety in the chest in the middle of the night. Hot/luke warm water and a quick bite of banana brought instant relief. A few months later, this became a more frequent phenomenon (twice a week) to feel heavy and experience burning sensation. In sep 2013, after a visit to a general physician, I was prescribed pantascot 50mg in case of severe burning. I took this medicine only in worst case scenarios. There was slight improvement. Apr 2014, after experiencing the symptoms for over a month - a visit to the general physician, I was prescribed digene syrup (between meals) and pantascot 50mg (empty stomach) for 30 days. This course brought significant changes and I felt quite comfortable for a good long time. Sep 2014, the burning sensation & chest anxiety recouped once again. Another visit to general physician, I was asked to repeat the same course of digene and pantascot. Additionally, a full body checkup was performed (blood profile, thyroid, sugar etc.). All reports were normal while there was asymptomatic diagnosis of thyroid. Doctor advised a retest of thyroid in 3-6 months as the test results weren't alarming. Another thyroid test in mar 2015 revealed nothing significant. The burning sensation slowly started increasing in apr 2015. Whether there was too much gap between meals or heavy meals, in both instances chest anxiety was experienced with a feeling of panting/lack of air (experiencing tightness of clothes). Since apr 2015, pantascot became a regular dose to lead a peaceful day. Due to increasingly frequent chest anxiety and no significant results of pantascot, endoscopy was performed in aug 2015. Test report: duodenum shows diffuse erythema endoscopic impression- duodenitis - acidic peptic disease, no ulcer. Medicines prescribed: before meals - omeprazole 20 mg (45 days) twice a day after meals - tinidazol 500 mg + ulcer od 500 mg (14days) but after the medicines were over I am back to square one. I do understand that homeopathy has the best solution for this and hence request you to please revert.

You have acid peptic disease with non ulcer dyspepsia. You may get relief with Ganaton total tablet or Rabifast XL tablet . Consult gastro enterologist with endoscopy report

I am just married. My hubby wants sex. He tried for anal sex also. I felt pain when he penetrates in my anus. I want to know the fact with anal sex.

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy
Sexologist, Pune
Anal sex has its disadvantages, it is painful cause it hurts a tight muscle ring and in the long term may cause anal incontinence, fissures and other injuries. The chances of getting infection are also high. Ask your hubby to learn more about such sexual practices before indulging in them.

Hi sir I am just 21 year old male. I am suffering of short breathing problem specially about from 1 year. When I inhaling deep then my upper abdomen feel like pain. I am feeling then very bad.

MD - Pulmonary Medicine, DAA (Allergy)
Pulmonologist, Mangalore
Hi Lybrate-user Pain in upper abdomen with breathing problem can be a sign of gastric reflux problem. You should be regular with your food and not be empty stomach for long. You can take gastric tablet for some time and see. However in any case it is better to consult a doctor and do necessary tests, especially if symptoms don't get better with above gastric treatment.

Profuse bloody diarrhea is due to organisms like shigella. You need course of antibiotic and the symptom takes a while to settle if not then you may need further tests like sigmoidoscopy.

My sugar is fasting 126 pp 153 I feel so week and fall down on road and feel exhausted I am working women pls advise in this regard I am taking glycomet sr 500 twice.

PGD Maternal Child Health, MBBS
General Physician, Akola
It needs to be known whether the blood sugar levels quoted by you are with the dose of glycomet or without it. If these levels are without medicine on the day of test, then with medicine there is a possibility of further lowering of sugar levels causing hypoglycaemia. That may be the reason behind your falling on the road and feeling of exhaustion. You may consult privately with details of your reports.

How to get rid of gastric problem? Is gas formation very common even post having proper meal.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
* Firstly take your meals with proper chewing and dont be hurry in taking meals to avoid acidity after meals. * Take less spicy food & avoid chilly in meals. * Try to avoid stress. If you feel unable to avoid stress & extra thinking then follow meditation techniques. Sit in a calm & well airy room & do long breathing. Concentrate on your breathing. Do it for atleast 3-5 minutes twice a day. You can do Anulom - Vilom Pranayam in the morning .It calm down your mind and lower the gastric irritation. * Put 1 teaspoon of Fennel seeds ( Saunff)in a glass of water in night and drink this water in morning everyday to cure gastric problem. * Take few leaves of mint ( Pudina), coriander leaves( Dhania), pinch of rock salt & pinch of black pepper.crush them well and make paste.Take 1 teaspoon this paste( Chatni) with meal in morning & evening.

General Physician,
best thing would be to consult a medical specialist. is the pain localised or referred pain to some other parts the pain is it associated with sweating, or difficulty in breathing.?
