Hi Many factors can affect blood pressure, including: 1) The amount of water and salt you have in your body 2) The condition of your kidneys, nervous system, or blood vessels 3) Your hormone levels You are more likely to be told your blood pressure is too high as you get older. This is because your blood vessels become stiffer as you age. When that happens, your blood pressure goes up. High blood pressure increases your chance of having a stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney disease, or early death. I read your query, by the information I have in hand my advice to you would be 1) Keep a BP daily record for at least one week 2) Basic tests should be one to rule out cardiac issues 3) unless any recent evaluation has been done I would advice these test ECG ECHO Lipid Profile TSH I would suggest you to add another medication like amlong 5 mg OD is your BP is always > 140/90 Get back to me with a detailed history and old / new records for a better individualized advice.

Low blood pressure occurs when blood pressure is much lower than normal. This means the heart, brain, and other parts of the body do not get enough blood. Normal blood pressure is mostly between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg. The medical name for low blood pressure is hypotension. Causes Certain medicines and substances Nerve damage from diabetes Changes in heart rhythm (arrhythmias) Not drinking enough fluids (dehydration) Diarrhea Heart failure Symptoms of low blood pressure may include: Blurry vision Confusion Dizziness Fainting (syncope) Lightheadedness Nausea or vomiting Sleepiness Weakness Exams and Tests The following tests may be done: Basic metabolic panel TFT Blood cultures to check for infection Complete blood count (CBC), including blood differential ECG Urinalysis X-ray of the abdomen X-ray of the chest Treatment Lower than normal blood pressure in a healthy person that does not cause any symptoms often does not need treatment. Otherwise, treatment depends on the cause of your low blood pressure and your symptoms. When you have symptoms from a drop in blood pressure, sit or lie down right away. Then raise your feet above heart level. Severe hypotension caused by shock is a medical emergency. You may be given: Blood through a needle (IV) Medicines to increase blood pressure and improve heart strength Other medicines, such as antibiotics steps to prevent or reduce your symptoms include: Drinking more fluids Getting up slowly after sitting or lying down Not drinking alcohol Not standing for a long time (if you have NMH) Using compression stockings so blood does not collect in the legs.

To prevent pimples, eating fresh fruits, green vegetables, drinking plenty of water should be an essential part of your routine and intake of oily fried foods, an excess of sugar-salt should be avoided. To begin with- Take fruit diet once in a week, which consist of fresh juice, fruits, coconut water and vegetable (green leafy). Warm water enema should be taken daily to clean the bowels and constipation. Take a balanced diet with an alkaline base, which consists of sprouted cereals, whole grain cereals and vegetables. Vitamin a, e and b can be used to treat acne. Green tea and walnuts help to keep your skin pimple free. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day is good for emission of toxin from the body. Always try to include low-fat dairy products in your meal. These are a good source of vitamin a. Homoepathic remedies helps to get rid of pimples, scars without side effects permanently If you have any specific question about your condition, consult for treatment. You can buy acne and pimples package offered by me which includes medicine and consultation.

Hi, pituitary is the "master control gland" - it makes hormones that affect growth and the functions of other glands in the body. With pituitary disorders, you often have too much or too little of one of your hormones. Which might be to root cause to all these problems are facing. But before anything we need to pin point the problem with hormonal study. So go for these tests and consult a nearby endocrinologist.

Few Lifestyle Changes to Deal With Acne!

Diploma in Dermatologist, Venereologist and Laparoscopy , MBBS

Few Lifestyle Changes to Deal With Acne!

Acne is a disorder which is characterized by small red bumps on the skin or occluded pores in the skin such as blackheads. It can make people conscious of their appearance and result in low self-esteem and anxiety. It usually affects people who fall in the age group of 12-25 but sometimes older people are also affected.

There are various factors that make the skin prone to acne. Acne occurs when overactive sebaceous glands (glands that produce oil in the skin) produce excess oil and the dead skin cells clog the pores of the hair follicle present in the skin. Inflammation occurs in the clogged hair follicle resulting in acne.

Some causes that make your skin prone to acne are -

1. DietFollowing a proper diet is a key factor in keeping your skin healthy. Food usually doesn't cause acne directly but can cause other problems such as greasy skin that are linked with acne. However, foods high in iodides such as seaweeds consumed over time can cause acne.

2. StressStress is another major cause that makes your skin prone to acne. When the body stressed, it produces excessive testosterone (a sex hormone) resulting in excessive oil production. Stress also impairs the immune system of the body so that it becomes vulnerable to acne.

3. Cosmetics - Some cosmetics (usually oil based) tend to clog the pores of the skin which may result in acne. Using harsh cleansing agents can dry and irritate the skin. Also, gentle washing of the skin is recommended to avoid breakouts.

4. Hormones - Changes in hormonal balance can cause acne especially in the beginning of puberty. In some cases, women are affected by acne when the menstrual cycle stops. The acne caused by hormonal changes may also be genetic in nature.

This is for my mother who is 70 years of age. Sh is a known hypertensive since 2002 and has been on amlong 2.5mgm od, concor 5mgm bd, and minipress xl 2.5 MGM od. A few years ago some doctor put her on ecosprin 75mgm daily. Apart from that she takes calcium and multivitamin. Her bp used to always be 130 /70. But off late her bp was in the range of 140-150/76. So we consulted a physician and he made it concor with amlong 5/5mgm, and azilsartan 80 MGM once s day. With aspirin in the afternoon. Her bp is still 140-150/76. My question is is this the normal bp and I shouldn't worry about it ?ir is there some other medication that she should be on to bring the systolic to 130 range? And is aspirin actually required for her? Her echo shows concentric left ventricular hypertrophy and mild diastolic dysfunction. Her weight also is 76.8 and she hardly eats anything. Could it be due to salt retention from aspirin intake? Can I stop aspirin? Her platelets are 4.18 lakhs. Pls advice.

1) Aspirin (Ecosprin) does not cause high BP, it is given in this case for Heart attack prevention so please continue that 2) anti hypertensive medications needs to be adjusted periodically according to bP records and lab parameters for side effects. And usually not more than 2 or 3 drugs are needed. 3) you need to do these test for further assestment. KFT, ECG, STRESS ECHO, LIPID PROFILE. 4) Continue to take same BP medications but take them all early in the morning and measure BP twice daily and keep a record. 5) If Evening BP is more than 140/90 (Which is the upper limit for her age) you can give half or full tablet of amlong again in the evening according to BP. Many factors can affect blood pressure, including: 1) The amount of water and salt you have in your body 2) The condition of your kidneys, nervous system, or blood vessels 3) Your hormone levels You are more likely to be told your blood pressure is too high as you get older. Hello lybrate user, there are various causes of acne like oily or dry skin due to hormonal imbalance, exposure to dust, pollution,  hereditary, lack of enough sleep, stress, unhealthy food habits etc..; dust clogs the tiny openings of sweat gland or oil gland which ultimately results into acne and blackheads. External application like ointment/antipimple cream is of less use unless and until internal cause is well treated and cure. Always wash your face with gentle facewash after exposure to dust, pollution. drink plenty of water, 7-8 glass per day to remove toxins from body and maintain hydration. Have healthy diet, add more fruits and green veggies in diet.avoid stress, avoid alcohol, junk food. Take homeopathic treatment for acne. It is safe, natural, and holistic way of treatment.Homeopathic medicine is selected on the basis of thorough details of patient, like medical history, causes, routine, temperament etc..; such well selected medicine gives complete relief and cure, without any side effects.
