What is the minimum size of penis to satisfy a woman and how long intercourse should be to satisfy a girl?

MD - Ayurveda
Ayurveda, Hyderabad
Duration to satisfy a women depends on the women you are having sex with, its all an individual instinct. Your women will be the right person to say when to stop nothing is fixed, respect her feelings. Minimum size is anything above 4-5 inch on erection is enough, if more than 6 inch is a bonus for your partner. Stop involving in these type of doubts and concentrate on your partners happiness. Long sex is just a myth what matters is the way you foreplay with her.

Another case of suffering due to misconceptions and fears related to spine surgery. This patient had TB of spine for last 7 months. Was bedridden with paralysis of both legs, loss of toilet & urine control and severe back pain. Was advised surgery at many centres but relatives refused due to fear of spine surgery. Took a lot of convincing on my part, finally relatives agreed. 3 days post surgery pt is sitting with support, has regained bowel bladder control and some power in legs. At 9 months follow up pt is walking with Complete resolution of Infection

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Traditional spinal surgeries usually require large incisions and stripping away the muscles of the spinal column just to get to a herniated disc. Now, new technology allows these complex procedures to be performed with the help of a microscope to magnify and illuminate the damaged area. Instead of stripping away the muscle, your surgeon can use a microscope to view the area through a much smaller incision and create a tunnel to the disc. This is done by splitting the muscle to pass the instrument through. Minimally invasive procedures result in less visible scars and shorter recovery times. A discectomy, or removal of the disc, can often be performed this way. However Not all patients are candidates for MIS. Whether the patient an undergo minimally invasive surgery or not is decided on the basis of clinical examination and MRI findings.

Know More About Spinal Stenosis

Orthopedist, Noida
Know More About Spinal Stenosis
  • A laminectomy relieves nerve pressure and pain caused by spinal stenosis. Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal that puts pressure on the nerves and causes pain throughout the spine and extremities. It can develop as a result of bone spurs or just from aging. In this procedure, a small section of bone that covers the back of the spinal cord, called the lamina, is removed to relieve the compression. A laminectomy is performed through the back of the spine under general anesthesia. The removal of the lamina and any bone spurs relieves the pressure on the spinal cord. The procedure may be done without fusion, or it can be performed in conjunction with a spinal fusion

Lumbar Microdiscectomy

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, FNB Spine surgery, Fellowship in Spine Surgery (AO Spine)
Orthopedist, Noida
Lumbar Microdiscectomy

A lumbar microdiscectomy is performed to relieve pressure on nerve roots caused by a severe herniated disc in the lumbar spine that causes sciatica like pain. The lumbar spine is the lower area consisting of the bottom five vertebrae. A herniated disc may cause lower back pain and pain or numbness in the legs and feet. Surgery may be needed if symptoms include severe leg pain, weakness or numbness in the extremities and impaired bowel or bladder function. A lumbar microdiscectomy is a minimally invasive procedure. A microscope is used to view the area through a small incision aroud 2 c.m long in the lower back to view the pinched nerve. Surgical instruments are then inserted through the incision to remove only the portion of the disc that is applying pressure on it, as well as any disc fragments that may have broken off. Patient is made to sit stand and walk from very next day and is discharged Next day. Stiches, in selected cases, can be can be self dissolving subcuticular which does not require removal. Patient can join back their desk job in 2 weeks.

Sperm Freezing

  • Before you begin chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment, your sperm can be frozen and stored until you wish to start a family. Even if the sperm profile is poor, as is common during times of illness, it is usually possible to store sufficient sperm for use in IVF in the future.
  • Men who have to travel overseas or work in dangerous situations may also want to have their sperm frozen for possible use in the future.
  • About 25-50% of the sperm will survive the process of freezing, and they can be stored for many years. There is a yearly fee for sperm storage.

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

Polycystic ovarian disease is a gynaecological disorder whose prevalence seems to have increased considerably among Indian women in last few years. Many young girls and middle-aged Indian women are suffering from this syndrome which is a marked by appearance of multiple cysts on ovaries and disturbances in monthly menstrual cycles.

Causes

The exact cause of PCOD remains unknown to the modern science even as the genetic link is being scrutinized for its causative role.

Symptoms

Ayurvedic PCOD Treatment

From Ayurvedic point of view, PCOD reflects vitiation of rasa and rakta dhatus. When levels of impurities and toxins increase in rasa and rakta dhatus, body stores them in form of cysts around ovaries. So presence of multiple cysts indicate high levels of impurities and toxins in these dhatus. Sign and symptoms in PCOD patients suggest imbalance of all three doshas. Dhatwagnimandya may also exist in some patients. History of improper diet and lifestyle is generally found among majority of PCOD patients. Excessive consumption of hormonal pills and contraceptive pills too is reported by many patients. Mental stress and lack of physical exercise are marked among quite a few ladies with PCOD. From Ayurvedic perspectives, all these things can produce toxins in body and cause diseases like PCOD.

Diet & Lifestyle Advice

  • Low-fat milk is recommended. Boil milk before drinking. Drink it warm. This makes it easier to digest. Do not take milk with a full meal or with sour or salty foods. Add a pinch of turmeric or ginger to the milk before boiling it. This helps to reduce the kapha increasing qualities of the milk.

  • Lighter fruits, such as apples, oranges, grape fruit, pineapple and papaya and pears, are recommended.

  • Sweeteners: Honey is excellent for reducing kapha. Reduce the intake of sugar products, which increase kapha.

  • Beans are recommended. Nuts should be avoided.

  • Grains such as barley, chickpea and millet are recommended. Do not take too much wheat or rice, as they increase kapha.

  • Spices are recommended only in moderate quantities.

  • Vegetables such as potaotoes and sweet potatoes should be avoided as they can cause weight gain.

  • Follow a lifestyle that will not aggravate any dosha.

  • Negative feelings like stress and tension should be avoided. Do not undertake physical or mental work beyond your capacity.

  • Limit the use of contraceptives.

  • Follow an active lifestyle, yet the exercises should be according to one's capacity. Both, excessive fasting and overeating are harmful.

  • Smoking, drinking alcohol and using narcotics aggravates menstrual disorders.

Can you give me broader views about IUI and IVF as a fertility treatment. My spouse tried IUI twice with no success, Is there any other way before we plan for IVF?

MBBS,MD(medicine)
Gynaecologist, Bangalore
For a pregnancy to click sperm and egg should be available at the same time. The chance of pregnancy to click trying naturally is about 5-10 percent. If you do an IUI it increases the success to 20-26 percent. IUI is a technique where we get the eggs released by medication and at the same time take the partners sperm process it in lab and place it inside the uterus. This procedure is simple.in IVF we get the eggs outside the body place it in làb culture media and partner sperm is injected in the egg and made to grow. The cultured embryos are placed in the uterus .success rate is 50 percent.

Why Vitamin D Is Important During Pregnancy?

DNB, DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Faridabad
Why Vitamin D Is Important During Pregnancy?

During pregnancy, it is essential to have a wholesome nutrition to ensure the growing baby receives a wholesome nutrition too. Extremely essential are some minerals and vitamins which have a significant role in the development of the baby. The skeletal development, for instance, is one such crucial event, and the onus is on the mother to ensure the required ingredients in the required quantity are reaching the growing fetus.
Read on to know the importance of vitamin D during the pregnancy period.

Why is it important: With the skeletal development in place, the baby’s teeth and bones begin to take shape. Both these are highly matrix-driven structures and require a good amount of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D is essential to maintain good amounts of calcium and phosphorus in the body.

Complications: Insufficient amounts of vitamin D can produce a range of symptoms from absolutely no issues to severe bone malformations. If not sufficient, the bones and teeth could become hypomineralized and weak leading to fractures, brittle bones, and rickets in newborn children. There are also reported incidents of low birth weight, preterm birth, and higher risks during pregnancy, but these need to be proven yet.

Sources: Top 10 Vitamin D Rich Foods- Sunlight, Cod liver oil, Sardines, Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna, Raw Milk, Caviar, Eggs and Mushrooms.

Risk factors for vitamin D deficiency: People with darker skin, obesity, and fat malabsorption conditions are more prone to develop vitamin D deficiency. With the importance of vitamin D and its role in skeletal development well established, ensure you get the right amounts of it, whatever be the source.
