You can suffer from neck pain for a variety of reasons. The main cause is muscle tension and strain that can be due to poor posture, working at a desk for long hours without taking breaks, sleeping with your neck in a bad position and jerking the neck during exercise. Take a hot bath or shower to relax your sore neck muscles. Rub some lavender oil on your neck and shoulders. Apply gentle pressure in small circular motions to massage the affected area for 10 minutes. Repeat daily as needed. Ice is one of the simplest remedies for neck pain. The cold temperature will help reduce inflammation and alleviate pain. A bag of frozen peas also works well. Put some crushed ice cubes in a plastic bag. Wrap the plastic bag in a thin towel. Put the ice pack on your neck for not more than 15 minutes at a time. Follow this remedy every two to three hours for the first 24 hours. Note: Never apply ice directly on your skin Soak a paper towel in apple cider vinegar. Place it over the affected part of your neck. Leave it on for a couple of hours. Repeat twice daily until the pain is gone. Alternatively, add two cups of apple cider vinegar to lukewarm bath water. Soak in it for at least 15 minutes. Do this once daily until you recover completely. There are a wide range of motion exercises that help reduce neck pain. Exercise will strengthen and stabilize your neck muscles as well as your upper back. Also, it will help to reduce stress. Slowly rotate your neck in a circular motion, clockwise as well as anti-clockwise, to help stretch out the agitated muscles. This may cause a little pain in the beginning, but it will ultimately help your neck loosen up and heal. You can also move your neck slowly back and forth as well as from side to side. Each exercise should be done five times per session, three sessions per day. If it hurts too much, don’t do the exercises and consult your doctor.

Respect your body limit; do not overstretch. As a beginner, you might be tempted to imitate your yoga teacher or fellow practitioner. But remember, each body has a different capacity and different flexibility. The idea is not to compete with anyone. Do only as much as you can or your body can take. It is a good idea to do at least 12 rounds of Surya Namaskars daily (one set consists of two rounds – six with the right leg, six with the other). However, as a beginner to this yoga practice, you could start with two to four rounds and then gradually go up to as many as you can comfortably do (even up to 108 if you can!) Ideally, the practice is done in sets. This will ensure that both sides of the body are equally used.

Hot drinks and hot or spicy foods can cause sweating after eating –also known as gustatory sweating. They raise your internal temperature, activating your body's cooling mechanism. Spicy food and hot drinks before bed can cause excessive sweating after eating and/or night sweats. No type of treatment gives permanent cure for treating gustatory sweat. Any type of therapy gives only temporary relief from the symptoms and nothing can cure the nerve disruption in the parotid glands.

Height is something which is decided by our genes, so we can hardly do anything about it. But you can do exercises, eat good food (a balanced diet), stay calm and tension free and everything will be alright. Try eating healthy foods, doing moderate exercise and taking proper rest. You may also try various Yogasanas such as Tadasana or Vrikshasana or any asana that stretches your spine. Get your postures correct. Never sit or walk with drooping shoulders. Your spine should always be straight. Try to be careful with the type of exercise you are doing. Do stretching exercises more instead of focusing in building specific areas of body. This way the body becomes relaxed and it acts as a catalyst to your growth mechanism. Do not try to do extreme weight-lifting as this will make your body stiff and work in those areas more than your height growth. Also, get optimum sleep everyday. Take rests and naps between work, eat regular meal along with nutritious fruits and veggies and let your body do the work.

Knee pain is a very common medical condition that occurs due to constant wear and tear of the knee joint. It can be experienced by older adults, young adults and children. Women are more vulnerable to knee pain than men. The exact location of the knee pain can vary. Pain can originate in any of the bony structures compromising the knee joint (femur, tibia and fibula), the kneecap (patella) or the ligaments and cartilage (meniscus). Knee pain can be localized or diffuse throughout the knee. Home remedies for knee pain. Applying cold compresses to the painful knee is one of the best and easiest ways to reduce pain and swelling. The cold will constrict the blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the affected area and thus reducing swelling. It will also give you relief from the pain. Wrap a handful of ice cubes in a thin towel. Apply the compress to the affected knee area for 10 to 20 minutes. Do this two or three times daily until your pain is gone. A bag of frozen peas also works well as a cold compress. You can opt for alternating hot and cold compresses as well for chronic pains. Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of filtered water. Sip this mixture throughout the day. Drink this tonic daily until you recover completely. You can also add two cups of apple cider vinegar to a bath tub of hot water. Soak the affected knee in the water for 30 minutes. Do this once daily for a few days. Also, you can mix together one tablespoon each of apple cider vinegar and olive oil. Use it to massage the affected knee once or twice daily until the pain is gone. Crush a small piece of fresh ginger root, add to one cup of water and boil it for 10 minutes. Strain and add a little honey and lemon juice. Drink two to three cups of this ginger tea daily until the pain is gone. You can also massage the affected knee with ginger oil two or three times a day until you are satisfied with the results Add one-half teaspoon each of ground ginger and turmeric to a cup of water and boil it for 10 minutes. Strain, add honey to taste, and enjoy twice daily. Boil one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of milk. Sweeten with honey and drink it once daily. Another option is to take 250 to 500 mg turmeric capsules three times daily. Follow these remedies daily until the pain is gone completely.

If you’re looking for a milk alternative, you’ll find “milks” made from soybeans, brown rice, almonds, coconuts, even almond-coconut blends. Here’s a quick primer to help you choose the milk alternative that’s right for you. Almond beverage Made from finely ground almonds and water, this nutty-tasting beverage has fewer calories than other non-dairy milks (original unflavoured: 60 calories per 250-millilitre cup; unsweetened: 35 calories per cup). Almond milk contains no saturated fat or cholesterol. Coconut milk Coconut beverages are naturally higher in fat than other non-dairy milks – one cup has 4.5 to 5 grams, nearly all of it saturated. However coconut’s saturated fat may have benefits. Coconut beverages are low in protein (0.4 to 1 g per cup). They are fortified with vitamins and minerals, so you’re getting similar amounts of calcium, vitamin A, vitamin D, B12, etc. To cow’s milk. To avoid added sugars, look for unsweetened products (50 calories per cup). RICE BEVERAGES Higher in carbohydrates than other milk alternatives and cow’s milk, rice beverages are made by blending partially milled rice (usually brown) with water. During processing, the carbohydrates break down into sugars, giving rice milk its sweet taste. Soy beverages Made from whole soybeans, soy milk is considered a nutritionally adequate alternative to cow’s milk thanks to its protein content, 7 grams per cup. Another plus: There is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, in soybeans. One cup of soy beverage delivers 300 mg of ALA (women need 1,100 mg per day; men require 1,600).

Gout is the most common inflammatory arthritis in men over 40 years. 1 Gout arises when uric acid builds up in the blood because the body either makes too much uric acid or cannot eliminate it effectively. However, the exact cause that triggers this accumulation is unknown. In the long term, the accumulation of uric acid leads to hyperuricemia, and this can generate the formation and deposition of monosodium urate crystals in the joints and/or kidneys A significantly greater reduction in the frequency of gout flares was observed for the group that received the enriched skim milk powder compared to the lactose control; Greater improvements in fractional excretion of uric acid and in pain, in addition to trends of improvements in tender joint count, were observed in the enriched skim milk group.

What should be the proper healthy diet for a thyroid patient like me, non vej or vej?
The thyroid gland is a butterfly-shaped gland situated at the front side of the neck, right below the Adam’s apple. Although small in size, it has a huge impact on almost all the metabolic processes that take place in the body. Two most common problems of the thyroid gland – namely hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, involve abnormal production of thyroid hormones. Before getting on with the list of foods to eat and avoid in hypothyroidism, it is important to know what hypothyroidism is. Fish is the first and most important food item in the list of healthy foods for the natural treatment for hypothyroidism because of its essential fatty acids content. The healthy omega 3 fatty acids present in oily fishes like salmon, tuna, sardines and trout helps t reduce inflammation, improve immune power and lower the risk of heart diseases in people suffering from hypothyroidism. A fruit and vegetable detox diet plan is exceptionally popular among health conscious people because these foods help cleanse the system and flush out toxins from the body. But antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables are extremely beneficial for controlling hypothyroidism as well. They work almost like natural remedies for hypothyroidism by controlling weight gain – one of the main hypothyroid symptoms. Seaweed is a rich source of iodine – an essential nutrient for thyroid function that works like a precursor for the production of thyroid hormone. avoid soya products, cauliflower, brocelly, cabbage ,refind food ,fatty and processed food and alcohal, Hyperthyroidism? omega3.vitamin D rich food.DAIRY PRODUCTS.Vegetables. avoid....food high in iodine.high carbs, refind food and oil. please send your feed back

I lost a friend very closely last year. She was my very close. Now how can I live freely?
Beauty of life is that it’s unpredictable. Nothing is permanent, everything changes; and of course, a lot of things can happen that will transform who you are and have an impact on your life. The problem is that we need to cultivate the ability to truly accept whatever comes and embrace it. Life will bring many challenges, such as the death of someone we love, and it’s not easy to embrace them when we’re suffering and wishing those things would have never happened. But if we start cultivating acceptance in our lives right now, we’ll likely cope with future crises in a different way and view them from a different perspective. We will accept instead or resisting. Live in the moment. Forget the past and don’t concern yourself with the future. Do the things you love. Focus on today and how you can do your best to live it to the fullest. Follow your hopes and not your fears. Do meditation everyday. Laughter yoga is best for you.

Respected Sir. Is Butter Milk Is same nutrition like Milk? Which is healthier curd milk or butter milk?

Respected Sir. Is Butter Milk Is same nutrition like Milk? Which is healthier curd milk or butter milk?
Milk is the opaque liquid food obtained from the mammary glands of animals and is a source of nutrition used by humans. The ingredients of raw milk differ according to the species it is obtained from on the basis of protein, calcium, saturated fat and Vitamin C. Cow’s milk is used extensively as a drink by human beings and used to manufacture many products like chocolates, ice-creams, yogurt, butter etc. Buttermilk is obtained when the fat has been taken out from the milk to make butter. Buttermilk is considerably lower in calories and fat content but high in calcium, Vitamin B12 and potassium than regular milk. One cup of buttermilk may contain up to 99 calories while milk may contain up to 157 calories. Also, one cup of buttermilk accounts for 2.2 grams of fat while the same amount of milk gives you 9 grams of fat. Buttermilk is also easily digestible than milk. Milk may also refer to the white non-animal substitutes like rice milk, almond milk, soy milk and coconut milk. Though milk is considered as an ideal food but in lacks in Vitamin C and iron. Curd or yogurt is more beneficial than milk.Because of fermentation by Lactobacillus acidophilus,it is rich in whey protein,Vitamin C,Vitamin B complex and natural organic acids( mainly lactic acid). So if you have replaced milk with yogurt it is just great. Buttermilk is considered beneficial to health as it contains probiotic microbes and is sometimes referred to as "Grandma's probiotic". It is also soothing to stomach and skin.

Banana’s are one of the top fruits with the high levels of magnesium, which makes eating a banana before bed a go-to snack. Magnesium has many healthy benefits, one of them being battling against insomnia, helping you to sleep longer and even faster. Eating bananas at night help relax the muscles in your body with a neuroprotective effect. The magnesium in a banana also helps lower your brain temperature and helps regulate your hormones. Symptoms of magnesium deficiency include difficulty relaxing during sleep and experiencing frequent night cramps. Eating a banana before bed can be useful in combating insomnia because of the amount of tryptophan. Eating bananas at night can also give a boost of vitamin B6, which is a coenzyme used in metabolism. Bananas could even help you get a good night’s rest, as they are a source of tryptophan which is a precursor to melatonin. Most suffers from heart burn or stomach ulcers can eat bananas without increasing stomach acid irritation, although a small percent of the population have the opposite effect.

Use Ice: A majority of shoulder pain is caused by inflamed tendons called the rotator cuff. Ice is a natural remedy for inflammation. Icing your shoulder is best done with your hand behind your back. By placing your hand behind your back, the tendons of the rotator cuff come out from hiding underneath the shoulder bone called the scapula. Use a Thicker Pillow: Many people sleep on their sides. If a pillow is too thin, then the neck and shoulder are poorly supported when sleeping on your side. A good, thick, supportive pillow can make a huge difference when trying to solve shoulder pain.
