It varies from person to person. Also in same person from time to time. It also depends upon state of health, state of mind, environment etc. There is no set guidelines for this.

It is possible that you have not developed apparent symptoms of tb. Or may be x-ray was able to detect your tb at an early stage. Or may be that symptoms of tb are similar to other diseases so you couldn't recognise it. Don't worry take treatment you will be alright.

Please go for a medical check-up so that it can be properly diagnosed and appropriate treatment can be begun. Do not ignore the symptoms and suffer the discomfort. Some tests needs to be done to assess your health and come to final diagnosis. You can update all the reports and the opinion of the doctor for further clarification. Always follow up with your doctor so that you can track the improvement.

That is the issue when you give a pre mixed insulin. Specially in a type1. So the best thing to do is give basal bolus. Short acting like regular or analog 3 times and a long acting basal once daily. It is easier to adjust the dose. With a pre-mixed insulin, such adjustments are difficult to make. You need to get someone to educate your child on how to take insulin. It is not very difficult.

Its symptom of piles. 1. Take home cooked, fresh light food. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 2. Increasing the fibre in your diet is known to be as effective as injections for preventing further problems 3. Increasing your fluid intake which can help prevent further problems with haemorrhoids 4. Avoiding straining and constipation which is the most useful thing patients can do to prevent the problem coming back. You are not able to retract foreskin when penis is erected. I advise you to do circumcision if there is unbearable pain in moving back foreskin when penis is erected. It is a minor operation done under local anesthesia so there is no pain. You can get it done from good government hospital. You have to go to surgery opd in the hospital.

Heart Attack - Are You Suffering From Any Of These Symptoms?

Heart Attack - Are You Suffering From Any Of These Symptoms?

With recent lifestyle changes, more and more people, younger in age, are falling prey to heart attacks. While some silently suffer the attack during their sleep and never wake up, others have symptoms which they dismiss as acidity or muscular pain and ignore them. There are multiple media programs that are trying to create awareness about how to identify a heart attack. If done at the right time, there is a good chance that the person can be saved.

What is a Heart Attack?

The blood vessels gradually narrow, reducing the blood flow to the target organs. This reduces the efficiency of the target organ, and if this happens to be the heart, it is known as a heart attack. The area that should ideally receive blood does not, leading to its “death.” If the damage is not severe, it can be reversed. However, if this attack happens in one of the critical areas of the heart, it can even be fatal.

Symptoms To Watch For: Very few attacks happen suddenly. Most start slowly and progress, and if identified on time, a life can be saved. The episode takes about an hour, and if you are well-versed with the symptoms, it could help identify the condition correctly and save a life. Most people use antacids and muscle relaxants to ease the situation, which does provide immediate relief, but not a proper cure.

  1. Chest discomfort: There is a central pain which is constant, nagging, and has a squeezing like sensation. This causes discomfort and most often, this pain is in the center of the chest area, which lasts for just a few minutes. Sometimes the pain can go and come back. This pain radiates down into the arm, up into the neck area, and also into the jaw and is almost always indicative of a heart attack.

  2. Short of breath: With chest pain, there is always shortness of breath which the person will experience. This is due to reduced oxygen levels in the body.

  3. Associated symptoms include fatigue, exhaustion, nausea, dizziness, light-headedness.

  4. There is almost always profused sweating where the person breaks into a cold sweat.

  5. If the attack happens during sleep, the person may be snoring and may feel as if something is choking his airway.

  6. Due to reduced return of blood from the peripheral organs, there could be swelling of the feet and ankles.

  7. Irregular heart beat: If there is irregular heart beat (palpitations) very often, talk to your doctor about it.

When you suspect a person of having a heart attack, check for these signs. Very often, a heart attack is detectable and can be managed with timely intervention.

Hepatitis - How Can You Prevent Them Effectively?

Hepatitis - How Can You Prevent Them Effectively?

In simple terms, hepatitis means injury to your liver due to inflammation. There are five main types of hepatitis and the type that you are suffering from is determined by a laboratory test. All the five main types of hepatitis are caused by viruses. Out of the five, Hepatitis C and B are quite big. Globally, around 250 million people are affected by hepatitis C and 300 million people are estimated to be hepatitis B carriers.

Fact sheet on hepatitis

  1. Hepatitis A & E is caused by consuming contaminated water.
  2. Hepatitis B, C and D is transmitted through infected blood to blood contact.
  3. Hepatitis C is usually spread via direct contact with the blood of an infected person.
  4. The initial symptoms of hepatitis are the same as those of flu.
  5. Hepatitis can heal on its own causing no significant liver damage; however, if it progresses, it can cause extensive liver scarring and extensive damage of your liver.

Most liver damage is caused by 3 hepatitis viruses, and these are hepatitis A, B and C.

How do you safeguard yourself against infection from these three dangerous hepatitis viruses?

The most common cause of concer is that a lot of us who are infected with hepatitis, especially hepatitis B don’t know that we are. The biggest bulwark against hepatitis is periodic testing and vaccination. Vaccination is available for most hepatitis viruses including A and B, which tend to be extra virulent.

So, do take care and go for periodic testing. We are reiterating this because if you are infected with hepatitis B and are not treated you can develop serious problems of the liver, including liver cancer. In fact, nearly 1 in 4 people living with hepatitis B develop serious liver problems including liver cancer. Hepatitis B related liver cancer is a leading cause of fatality and getting tested for hepatitis can help you access life-saving treatments that can prevent serious liver damage.

Other ways to prevent hepatitis are:
Hepatitis A

  1. Wash your hands with soap after using the toilet
  2. Only consume freshly-cooked food
  3. Only drink bottled or boiled water
  4. Only eat fruits that can be peeled. Don’t eat fruit that has been cut and kept
  5. Avoid eating raw vegetables
  6. Vaccinate yourself against hepatitis A if you travel a lot.

Hepatitis B

  1. Practice safe sex by using condoms
  2. Only use new syringes for injections
  3. Do not share toothbrushes, razors, or manicure instruments with others
  4. Vaccinate yourself against hepatitis B
  5. Take care while getting tattooed. Only use brand new tattoo needles. Also, ask for new needles during acupuncture treatments.

Hepatitis C

  1. Avoid sharing toothbrushes, razors, and manicure equipment
  2. Cover open wounds if you are infected
  3. Don’t share needles. Always ask for fresh needles.
  4. Use only well-sterilized equipment for acupuncture, piercing, and tattooing etc.
  5. Cut down on alcohol
  6. Do not share drug needles
