Overcoming Winter Aches And Pain

Joint pain can occur anytime throughout the year, but in the cold and wet months of the winter you may find it harder to cope with.Although a change in the weather will not cause arthritis, it can worsen the symptoms.

Ways to stop the cold weather aggravating your aches and pains

1. Try to overdress rather than underdress because you can always remove a layer if you’re too hot. For those who suffer headaches, wrap your neck in a scarf.

2. Calcium Intake- Keep a watch on your calcium intake. Foods enrich with calcium are great for your joints and bones

3. Don’t stay out in the cold too long. Make the most of the time outside to warm your core, and get home and warm up to maintain the benefit – the best of both worlds.

4. Quit Smoking- It is a lesser known fact that people who smoke tend to have lower bone density and hence, are at higher risk of issues related to bones and joints. Quit smoking for a healthier lifestyle and robust bones!

5. Try to keep moving rather than shrinking into the sofa as this generates heat and improves flexibility and the range of joint movement.

6. Acknowledge the impact of the colder weather on pain.By making allowances and planning ahead you should find the winter months more tolerable than in the past.

7. A Balanced diest is important: People suffering from joint pains require a well-balanced diet. Foods enrich with Vitamin D, C and K are good for joint pains. Add orange, cabbage, spinach, tomatoes in your diet as they are the super foods and relieve knee pains. For those who have extremely low levels of Vitamin D, can also take supplements after prescription from the doctor. Adding sulphur rich food in your diet is another plus point!

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Hi lybrate-user based on the information provided I will try my best to give you best solution to get rid of low back pain as well maintaining normal blood glucose levels. There are lots and lots of exercises you can go for without getting any back pain at all can start with upper body exercises for shoulder, biceps,triceps as well as for lower body too. Now main part to be focused is on core. While doing core exercises need to modify every single step to get pain relief and do exercises. Can go for static cycle initially for 5 to 10 mins initially and later can progress up to 20 mins at a stretch. Hi lybrate-user Pull-ups require you to call on some significant strength from your body in order to perform a successful rep. Not only do you need a strong back and biceps to get your face up to that bar, but you need to have a strong grip as well. Having a good grip necessitates having strong forearm, wrist, hand and finger muscles. If your fingers ache, you may want to work on your grip strength. Hello lybrate-user! It is cervical spondylosis. In cervical spondylosis there are the symptoms of aching pain of hand with numbness feeling and generally worse lying on that side. So to confirm it you can go for CT of spine and do some blood test too like Vit-D3 and Ca. For the treatment of cervical spondylosis in homeopathy it require to know the detail symptoms. You have to decrease timing and walk slowly for 1 or 2 weeks, muscles become strengthened. After it you have to increase timing 5 minutes within 2 or 3 days intervals. Good luck.

After ACL reconstruction most patients can usually walk within 10 days. If it was an old ACL ligament injury it's possible that you have weak muscles which can take longer rehabilitation time. You should get help of a good physiotherapist. Whether knee brace is needed or not should be decided by your operating surgeon as he only knows the stability of your knee.
