Joints form the connections between bones. They provide support and help you move. Any damage to the joints from disease or injury can interfere with your movement and cause a lot of pain. 
 

Many different conditions can lead to painful joints, including 
- Osteoarthritis 
- Rheumatoid arthritis 
- Bursitis 
- Gout 
-  Strains, sprains and other injuries of joints and around joints. 
-  Inflammation in and around joints 
- CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) 
- Fibromyalgia 
- Bursitis 
- Ankylosing Spondylitis(A.S.) 
- Tendon Sheath Inflammation (Tenosynovitis) etc. 

Joint pain is extremely common. In one national survey, about one-third of adults reported having joint pain within the past 30 days. 
Knee pain was the most common complaint, followed by shoulder and hip pain, but joint pain can affect any part of your body, from your ankles and feet to your shoulders and hands. As you get older, painful joints become increasingly more common. 
 

Physiotherapy treatment: 
For joint pain treatment we can use following techniques:
 
-Taping 
-Modalities 
-Exercises 
-Corrective devices if needed (orthotics) 
-Manual therapy etc. depending upon the case.

I have heel pain daily at early morning. It takes 5 minutes to normal walk. I am. 49 years old.

Hi there most common reason for heal pain is plantar fascitis, which can be caused due inflammation of the plantar fascia due to heel spurs. You can try ice massage your heels and do stretching of your feet and do movements of your foot joints passively with other hand. Further consult your nearest physiotherapist for more info.

Get calcium vitamin d, S .uric acid blood test done. Avoid forward bending. Squatting and sitting cross legs for few days.

Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.

Sir I am having pain in both foot after viral fewer. It is very a cute and I am unable to walk properly there is no redness and swelling but pain is unbearable I had gone for uric acid test and RA factors also both are normal. Pls advice me what to do.

Get treated with Ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the Plantar Fascitis weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water Ask your father to apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. If still the pain persists then it is better to keep TENS stimulation at one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.

She take medicine at proper time but after that there is no positive result from any medicine .Please tell me solution for removal of her pain. My mother suffering from pain in legs and in the morning she is not going anywhere because pain in the legs and other bodies part as well. Please give some advise.

Kindly get a vitamin D level checked. Ask her to take calcium rich food like Milk, curd, cheese/paneer etc and food rich in proteins like egg whites, Pulses, soybean and chicken (if non vegetarian). If the pain is too much ask her to use some braces for knee while on the move and some basic knee exercises and strengthening the calf muscles will help. But Importantly she should not restrict any activity as lack of mobility further causes the muscles to breakdown. So to avoid muscle breakdown or deconditioning it is advisable to have protein rich diet and an exercise regime along with proper protection of joints through adequate bracing.

If its truly patellar tendinitis then you should show it to an Orthopedic surgeon as there is no role of rheumatologist. Xray and MRI may help in the diagnosis.

Hello, I haven't been jogging for few months and 3 days before, I started jogging again but I felt lot of pain in my legs on side of the calf whenever I jog. I think the blood in my vein is being clotted. Should I go for vitamin E because this pain isn't helping me to jog and recently I have no any medical history. It's just that my big toe is dislocated and I gained a lot of weight recently.

You just need to release your calf and hamstrings muscles (check tennis ball release for calf and hamstrings muscles on you tube) and stretch them properly before you jog. Also use cold packs for your calves after jogging.
