If root canal filling is not done and crowns are made, then sensitivity may arise, so get an X-ray done and see dentist asap.

There are no side-effects, but you get the crown done asap as the tooth becomes brittle after RCT and is liable to break, so avoid eating hard food till that time.

Kindly get an X-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a cap/crown. There can be a possibility of gingival pocket between your teeth where you may have pain because of food lodgement. In that case kindly get scaling done and use a gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Kindly visit your dentist and get the required treatment done. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

My post tmj x ray shows my jaw joint are almost right position and hence my tmj doctor said to me for starting the next phase treatment that is orthodontic treatment. But even now I feel from outside that my cheek muscle or jaw muscle are tight and both the jaw joint are not symmetric. Is there any problem in my tmj disk? And how can I be sure that my jaw joint and disk are OK or healing?

Yes lybrate-user you do not have any problem with your TMJ asyou got your x-ray done and seen by a dentist. Aside from trauma and arthritis, a bad bite or “malocclusion”(irregularly positioned teeth) is believed to be one of the main causes of TMJ problems. When your teeth do not fit together so that your muscles are in their optimum rest position when your mouth is closed, it puts stress on the hard and soft tissues of the jaw, resulting in pain, muscle spam, and facial asymmetry. As functional correction of teeth is important for your better future I suggest to undergo orthodontic treatment.

Avoid oily fried and spicy food. Do not keep long gaps between meals. Drink 10-12 glasses of water everyday. Have more of fruits and vegetables and less of meat. You may take Vitamin B complex supplement on the advice of a physician.

Hi Sir, Which material suits better for moderate case of dental fluorosis to fill occlusal caries in posterior teeth, GIC or Composite?

Post-Graduate Certificate in Endodontics
Dentist, Cuttack
Hi Sir, Which material suits better for moderate case of dental fluorosis to fill occlusal caries in posterior teeth,...
well dental fluorosis is a condition where the teeth are already weak because of lack of calcium and more of fluorine. If there are occlusal caries, the progress of it is faster in a fluorosed tooth. Both the restorations either GIC or composite can be done.
