The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain. For this the best treatment would be to undergo Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water.

I usually suffered shoulder pain whenever I try to hit smash in badminton and volleyball and also some other activities like that. Some time it gives too much pain. Is it serious problem?

Hello Lybrate user, your pain might be a reason resulting in any of the ligament or muscle injury. Start doing hot fermentation twice or thrice a day and go for active exercise of shoulder, avoid weight lifting or such sudden activities from the affected shoulder, avoid sleeping onto the affected aide. And if pain persists for long again consult to a physiotherapist.

I feel most of time sleepy, and I sleep daily 8 to 10 hour, need prescription to avoid sleep. Also feel week in centre of chest. Am 25 years old nd overweighted.

First start doing some work out daily for about 45 min .5 days in a week .and take homoeopathic med .cinchona 30 three times a day for 1 week and gels 30 three times a day for 1 week.

Hi, I am 30 years 5.3 height weight 73 kg, I am having pain just below the ankle not anteriorly but it is on posteriorly. From 2-3 month please help me out. I no mere weight jyada hai main morning walk karna chahti hu but pain hi itna hai nahi ho pati and even agr me in ankle k niche wala part dabati hai to jyada pain hota hai.

Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.

This is due to the improper posture as while sitting in front of the computer and it leads to neck pain and thereby it leads to shoulder pain. It is called as peri arthritis shoulder and for that you can do hot water fermentation and ice therapy at home. If you have shoulder pain then the stiffness will develop more that might make the arm to have less improvement which might make you to feel more pain the arm. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm.

For good sleep, just try out these simple ways - 1. Stick to a sleep schedule- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music. Go back to bed when you're tired. Repeat as needed. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink - Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Your discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. 3. Create a restful environment - Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Doing calming activities before bedtime, such as taking a bath or using relaxation techniques, might promote better sleep. 4. Limit daytime naps - Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. If you choose to nap, limit yourself to up to 30 minutes and avoid doing so late in the day. 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine - Regular physical activity can promote better sleep 6. Manage worries - Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety. Identifying and treating any underlying causes can help you get the better sleep you deserve. Take medicine, Passiflora Q, 20 drops in half cup of water, 2 hours before your normal sleeping time If above things doesn't help you, then consult us for homeopathic medicines.

If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

Hi Lybrate User Use Dashmool kashyam 20 ml and Rasnasaptak kashyam 20 ml two times a day empty stomach. Use Tablet Reumacalm two tablets two times a day. Do massage by applying oil ksheerabla and oil Sachardi oil and than hot water fomentation. These medicines definitely cured your father's problem. Take care Thanks Regards.
