Healthy and homely food can also have a lot of calories. Also many a times people indulge in things like 'Digestive Biscuits' Rusks, sweets and many other things which add to the calories. Bottomline is that you got to properly measure the calories if you want to lose weight. As per your height and weight you need to be on a measured diet of 1000 calories per day. That way you can lose about 2 kgs in a month. For detailed consultation you can consult me privately.

For weight gain, you have to increase your daily food intake. Try to eat healthy foods after every 2-3 hours. Add one extra chapati and rice to your lunch and dinner. Add a sweet dish after meals. Include milkshakes, juices, dry fruits like kaju, kismis, badaam, cookies, fruits like banana, chickoo, muskmelon, grapes. Have foods like dhoklas, idlis, dosa, bhelpuri, aloo chaat, cheese or paneer sandwiches in evening snacks or in between main meals. For more details, consult us on a private Lybrate chat.

I am 22 and a bodybuilder. I consume soy products to fulfill my protein requirement. Is there any side effects of eating soy products?

Soy is definitely one of the most controversial foods in the world. Depending on who you ask, it is either a wonderful superfood or a hormone disrupting poison. As with most things in nutrition, there are good arguments on both sides.

Simple Knee ExerciesSpecific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee pain more than 2 weeks:if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation.

Weight/ fat is due to poor eating habits. These need to be changed. There is no other way to quickly remove the fat. 1. Aim for long term weight loss @ 2-3 Kg per month = 12-15 kgs in 6 months. Recently, my wife got diabetes fasting 298 pp374 after 15 days of treatment now it is 109 and 141. Is she a diabetic? We have to continue treatment or not? What we have to do please give advice. Is the first report wrong?

Recently, my wife got diabetes fasting 298 pp374 after 15 days of treatment now it is 109 and 141. Is she a diabetic?...
Mr. Thanks for the query. When proper medication is being taken with correct diet and exercise, blood glucose does come under control. That does not mean that your earlier report was wrong. It only means she is having a controlled diabetes. Please check her HbA1c%, that gives an idea of control over previous 3 months. If you are in doubt, then get an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) done, that will give a clear idea about her status of diabetes. Usually diabetes once diagnosed remains for lifetime, hence treatment is required throughout. Thanks.
