What actually is Retinitis Pigmentosa? 
Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) refers to a group of diseases, which causes a slow, but progressive vision loss. The child is put under anesthesia and a microsurgical instrument is used to break the lens into small pieces and remove it.

Laser vitreolysis is a more recent form of treatment for this condition.
