Hypoglycemia is the disease of low sugar level in blood. It primarily occurs when the sugar level is below 4 mmol/L (72mg/dL).

What is hypoglycaemia?
It is the decrease in the blood sugar amount to a certain level. If the disease is identified at an early stage, then the treatment can make the person free of the disease quickly. It affects people having diabetes as well as arthritis, increased blood pressure, high cholesterol and many others.

People who take this three medications have a higher risk of having the disease:

Insulin
Sulphopnylureas (such as glibenclamide, gliclazide, glipizide, glimepiride, tolbutamide)
Prandial glucose regulators (such as repaglinide, nateglinide)
Diabetes medications pose a more significant threat to patients of having hypoglycaemia.

Treatment:

At first, the patient must take a blood test to catch up with the levels of blood sugar
Intake of 15-20 kg of carbohydrates is necessary every day. You can get a stabilized carbohydrate content from a bread slice, a banana and a bar made of cereal.
Drink sugar-filled drinks such as Pepsi, etc. Glucose tablets and juice ease the disease rapidly. The patient can also eat sweets in this case. Take a balanced level of sugar content drinks such as 160 ml of cola or lemonade or 200 ml of fruit juice.
Natural treatment through diet:

Liquorice roots: Cut the roots and boil it. Drink the water every day for controlled sugar level.
Apple- It has magnesium and chromium which regulates the sugar level
Wild yam
Tomatoes
Sunflower seeds

What are Autoimmune Disorders?
It is a disorder of the immune system where the immune system can get ‘hyperactive’ or on the other end of the spectrum can become exceptional slow in its response to germs and bacterium, leaving the individual vulnerable to a host of infections and diseases.
When in ‘Hyper mode’ the body’s immune system starts producing antibodies (White Blood Cells) attacking and damaging the body’s own tissues (Red Blood Cells) beyond repair. Treatment of the Auto-Immune diseases generally focuses on reducing the activity levels of the immune system so as to let the Red Blood Cells multiply and heal the body to an extent.
Not all Auto Immune diseases are life threatening or terminal in nature. Some are even classified as “commonly occurring” disorders in the larger population. Examples of these would be –
1) Psoriasis – A Skin disorder where overactive immune system blood cells called T-cells collect in the skin. The immune system activity stimulates skin cells to replicate rapidly, producing layers of silvery scaly plaques on the skin. These often look like ‘Dandruff’ and can be seen all over the individual’s body, accompanied by severe itching and skin irritability. Psoriasis is often triggered due to stress and hormonal imbalances along with other environmental factors such as poor hygiene, inadequate diet, lack of sleep etc. Along with oral medication, lifestyle changes such as reducing stress at work or home, making sure one gets at least 8 hours of restful sleep per night and regular head and body massages are known to help reduce the severity of the problem to a great extent.

2) Rheumatoid Arthritis – The hyper immune system produces antibodies that attach themselves to the joint linings and then start to eat away at the cartilage and tissues causing swelling or inflammation and a sharp stabbing continuous pain. Oral medication along with gentle cardio (slow walking) and stretching exercise routines such as Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates are known to have countered the ill-effects of this movement restricting disorder, to a large extent.

How To Deal With Erectile Dysfunction If You Are A Diabetic?

Cold sores are typically caused by the herpes simplex virus and are characterized by small blisters that develop around the lips and mouth. However, some people do not showcase any symptoms at all. The mouth is the most affected area as the skin in this area is not as resistant to the virus as skin on other parts of the body. It can also occur on the chin, nose or cheeks. Cold sores are communicable through skin contact. This condition can also be triggered by stress. 

The first time this virus affects is a person is known as the primary infection. Some of the symptoms of cold sores are 
- Blisters on the mouth, lips, tongue, throat or gums. These blisters may be dry or oozing. 
- Pain while swallowing or eating due to ulcers and blisters.
- Swollen neck glands.
- High fever accompanied by body ache.

An outbreak of cold sores usually lasts about a week. Once the primary infection is over the virus is not eliminated from the body, but remains dormant in a nerve sheath. Recurrent cold sores may not cause severe mouth infections as with primary infections, but can be quite unpleasant. In most cases, recurrent cold sores erupt in the same area as the primary infection. 

Some of the ways to treat primary infections are:
- Painkillers: Over the counter painkillers such as ibuprofen or paracetamol can help ease the pain.
- Chlorhexidine mouthwash: This can be used in place or brushing in case of painful sores inside the mouth. It can also prevent plaque buildup and secondary gum infection. 
- Antiviral medication: If taken at the onset of a cold sore infection, this can reduce the pain associated with it and shorten the duration of the infection. This also prevents the virus from multiplying. 

As cold sores are communicable, it is important to prevent it from spreading. Some ways of containing this infection are:
- Wash your hands with soap and water after touching your mouth or the sores.
- Avoid touching the cold sores
- Abstain from oral sex
- Do not share items that come in contact with the infected area like lip balms, towels, cutlery etc. 

If the symptoms do not subside within 5 days, visit a doctor immediately. Consult a doctor if you have frequent bouts of cold sores or suffer from a severe case of the disease. Pregnant women and mothers with young babies who suffer from the disease should also seek prompt medical attention.
