Acidity is due to several reasons. You have to eliminate all the causes, one by one. I am listing them..you can check what's applicable to you and modify your diet. 1. Eating Papad pickle 2. Skipping meals 3. Too much gap between meals 4. Oily - spicy food made in restaurants. 5. Not taking water... ...Solutions.. A. Drink toned milk..buttermilk B. Cut down oils. C. It could be acid peptic disease. There are very effective medicines in ayurveda. But definitely you need change in food habits. Avoid spicy food, pickles, red meat, carbonated drinks, alcohol, tobacco etc.

Dear Lybrate User, Examples of gas-producing foods are: *Vegetables such as artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, green peppers, onions, peas, radishes, and raw potatoes. *Beans and other legumes. *Fruits such as apricots, bananas, melons, peaches, pears, prunes, and raw apples. *Wheat and wheat bran. *Eggs. *Carbonated drinks, fruit drinks, beer, and red wine. *Fried and fatty foods. *Sugar and sugar substitutes. *Milk and other dairy products, especially in people who have trouble digesting lactose, the main sugar found in milk. *Packaged foods that contain lactose, such as breads, cereal, and salad dressing.

Hi, The following are some home remedies: - Drink a glass of pumpkin juice everyday in the morning on empty stomach. - Take 1tsf of jeera powder mixed with jaggery twice daily. - Drink kheer prepared out of saboo or poppy seeds which keeps the stomach cool. – Take a bowl of curds mixed with sugar or a glass of lassi everyday which helps to neutralise the acid.

Dear ADITYA, some times anxiety do create stomach upset and irritable bowels and dizziness might be due to malnourishment, there might be general weakness which may induce dizziness. Take coconut water and observe, taking plenty of buttermilk with ginger added will relieve, we have good medicines in ayurveda u can try

I have been diagnosed with grade 2 fatty liver and the liver is enlarged to 15.7 cms. I am a moderate to heavy drinker. I am willing to give alcohol till the time my liver gets back to normal. I want to know what precautions and for how long do I have to take so that my condition returns to normal. The causes of this condition have no doubt been the alcoholism. please let me know the time frame and precautions. Thanks.

You will have to leave alcohol forever if you want to remain healthy as it is affecting your liver so if you start again the damage will also start again there is no fixed time factor for it to recover.

U should consult some physician who will advise you tests to find cause of fever. There are thousands of causes of fever like typhoid. Dengue, tb, blood diseases etc. One your cause is found by. Test s he will give you medicine s accordingly.

1. Drink 100-500 ml of tender coconut water twice a day for relief from hyperacidity Mix equal parts of powdered fennel, licorice root, basil leaves and coriander seeds. Have ½ teaspoon of this mixture with ½ teaspoon of powdered rock candy (or unrefined sugar) 15 minutes before lunch and dinner. 2.Make a powdered mixture of equal parts of rock candy (or unrefined sugar), fennel, and green cardamom. Whenever you feel heartburn, mix 1 teaspoon of the mixture in a glass of cold milk and drink. 3.Avoid tea, coffee, and carbonated or alcoholic beverages. 4.Avoid using garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, and vinegar in cooking. 5.Curd should be strictly avoided at night. 6. Practice Yoga and Pranayama such as Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, Salabhasana, Bhastrika Pranayama,Shitali Pranayama and Shitkari Pranayama. 7.Drink plenty of fluids and water. 8. Avoid constipation. 9. Take 1 tsf avipattikar churna empty stomach twice a day with water/ 20 days and 2 tab soothshekhar ras twice a day 30 min after meals with little water/10 days. 10. Revert back after 10 days. I feel that I have digestion issues, whatever I eat after that my chest burns a lot. I just then take fizzy drink for burp and this also increasing my weight. What is this?

This is acidity.. There are several things you can do to prevent an episode of acidity like: Avoid alcohol. Normally alcohol in moderation is well tolerated but for people prone to acidity even a small amount of alcohol can cause discomfort. Avoid smoking .The nicotine in the tobacco affects the opening and closing of the food pipe allowing back flow of the normal stomach acid into the food pipe. Eat small meals. Instead of 3 big meals, have 5 small meals every 3-4 hours. Eat slowly. Don’t sleep on a full stomach. Try to have an early dinner. Make sure there is a gap of 3 hours between your last meal and bed time. Wear loose-fitting clothes. Avoid certain known foods which cause acidity like, coffee, tea, colas, and citrus fruits, oily and spicy food. If your weight is high – losing a few kilos will reduce acidity too. Keep a gap of 2 hours between exercise and meals. Drink at least 3 litres of water every day. Try meditation and yoga to minimise daily stress.

Yes anxiety and ibs are very much related. We haven't concluded whether anxiety is the cause of IBS or IBS causes the anxiety in those pt.
