60% of human body is water 

Around 60% of the human body is made up of liquid. The liquid that we have in the body is called body fluid.

The body of a normal 70kg adult holds about 42 litres of body fluid.
So you may even say that human beings are made of fluid.

Even on a quiet day, people lose about 2.5 litres of body fluid each day, while on an active day people can lose much more. It is important to replace the lost fluids to keep a balance between fluid intake and fluid loss.
 
Humans cannot survive without body fluid. If the body loses just 3% (about 900ml in case of 60kg adult) of its fluid, dehydration symptoms such as fatigue will occur. With a 4-5% fluid loss, humans experience headache and dizziness. It can be fatal if more than 10% of body fluid is lost.

So go ahead replenish your body with adequate water.

Hye. Thankyou for the query. You are underweight and I don't see any reason why you want to work out twice a day. Try to workout once a day. You can alternate workout days if you like running. Also remember a good diet is very crucial or else your workout is just a stress for your body and instead of developing muscle mass you will end up breaking down further.

Hi, Your body is a gift of nature/God. Treat it like one. Be confident and positive about yourself. Please avoid comparison with others. You are fit and exercising and healthy even at 28. Focus on what you are able to do and feel proud of yourself. There is no problem. Everyone has different shape and size and there is nothing like perfect. Even Bruce Lee is fit and so is Arnold Shwarznegar. So be proud of yourself. You are fit and fine.

Hello, The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day.Protein shakes will help you to gain muscle mass, particularly if you're working out. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos., both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 1month.

I will suggest you to drink a minimum of three litres of water per day and also concentrate more on intake of fruits while travelling and in lunch and breakfast and dinner eat food with low fat content and high protein content in your diet.

Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake : Increase your protein intake e.g. milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts ( soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad. · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

Dear patient, 1.calorie dense food should be incorporated in your diet like dried fruits, potato, sweets, nuts, jam jelly, banana or mango shake, porridge, badam kheer etc. 2. Leafy vegetables should be restricted in your diet as they reduce appetite. 3. you should take 3 major meals a day and snacks in between. 4.Butter, margarine should be taken. 5.Adequate amount of egg, meat, fish, milk should be taken as it help you for tissue building in your body. 6.Try to take 1 boiled egg at every morning. 7.you should eat more food at each meal. 8. Since your wife is lean n thin it will reflect in her cheeks also. Please mention her weight, height n age. She can improve her weight by including more proteins in her diet. Like meat fish dairy, beans n pulses. Additionally she can try an exercise like inflating a balloon to make her cheek muscles more prominent.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. The problem is not eating enough and not eating right. If you eat sensibly and when the body needs you will not put on unwanted fats. Avoiding meals and crashing your intake to lose weight will in fact cause weight gain. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Stay active. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Most often loss of bone density or loss of bone health is due to deficiency of nutrients and wrong eating habits. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels and definitely deficiency of major nutrients. . Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Include cereals like ragi, seeds like sesame, coconut and pulses like rajma, chana ,sprouts in your diet. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Avoid excessive tea, coffee, and avoid aerated drinks. Sleep well. Exercise at least thrice a week. This is essential for bone health.
