Hello, are you suffering from Asthma ??you should opt Homoeopathic treatment for the breathing problem. Homeopathic remedies for asthma are very effective and can cure asthma permanently . Homeopathic medicines are natural medicines and work by moderating our immune system which usually becomes overreactive in asthma . But i need to know more symptoms related to you as a whole.so that i can make totality of symptoms and prescribe you a better medicine. in the mean time take Ars alb 30, 3 drops once daily and BC No. 02, 5 tabs thrice daily. Revert me with more symptoms.

Hi. I understand your concerns. Asthma is a chronic and common allergic condition causing symptoms. You will need to undergo pulmonary function test which is required for the diagnosis as well as to assess severity of asthma based on which treatment can be started. You will need to consult a pulmonologist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

Dear Lybrate User, *Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system in which the airways narrow, often in response to a trigger such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, excessive exercise or emotional stress. This narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath and coughing. *Take 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar. Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day. *Prepare a mixture of powdered dried ginger root, black pepper and long pepper in equal amounts and store in an airtight container. Have ½ teaspoonful of this powder mixed with ½ teaspoonful of honey twice a day with lukewarm water.

My father has an asthma. What is the effect of using an asthma preventer for long term?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
My father has an asthma. What is the effect of using an asthma preventer for long term?
Some people with asthma are prescribed a preventer inhaler. They help prevent asthma symptoms by reducing swelling and inflammation in the airways. There are several kinds of preventers. They usually contain a low dose of steroid medicine called corticosteroids. Taking your preventer inhaler regularly, usually twice a day, means you're less likely to have asthma symptoms, or asthma attacks. You should use it even if you're feeling well because the protective effect builds up over time.

What is pneumothorax lung disease? I can't understand. And what is the reason of this disease. Please help me.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
A pneumothorax (noo-moe-thor-aks) is a collapsed lung. A pneumothorax occurs when air leaks into the space between your lung and chest wall. This air pushes on the outside of your lung and makes it collapse. In most cases, only a portion of the lung collapses. A pneumothorax can be caused by a blunt or penetrating chest injury, certain medical procedures, or damage from underlying lung disease. Or it may occur for no obvious reason. Symptoms usually include sudden chest pain and shortness of breath. On some occasions, a collapsed lung can be a life-threatening event.
