I have smoking habit. I smoke 3 to 4 cigarettes daily. Will I get any problem if I run daily?

You will only experience a problem while running because of your smoking as compared to a non-smoker. But exercise is welcome anytime and with any condition because it is the most holistic medicine. However, smoking is bad for everyone whether they exercise or not. If you smoke and exercise your stamina will not be that good. Over a period of time it can only get worse. The carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke will reduce the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood and you will tend to get exhausted, easily. Besides, there are more than 4000 thousand chemical substances in tobacco smoke and most of them are harmful. My advice is to quit smoking immediately and your exercise will stand to benefit you tremendously.

U must not be taking nutritious diet or you may be overexposed to pollution. Avoid oily, fried and spicy food. Take more n more fruits, milk and milk products. Take proper sleep at night. Wash your face two three times a day with herbal soap. Consult for skin glow treatment and diet plan.

At your age and with the course you are doing there may be a lot of distractions going on that may be the cause of the problem. In your case the subject may have reached boring proportions and so it may not find appeal to your mind. In that case the drowsiness will prevail. You could try group study to generate some interest because of the others involvement. Also, study difficult subjects in the early part of the morning when your mind is freshest and the metabolic rate; mood and energy levels are rising up to 11 am. Here are some things to do that will alleviate the situation, if you followed them meticulously. If you are under some stress, there will be difficulty remembering. So if you handled stress better, you will certainly improve. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is rested well to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. So, catch a good 8 hours of sleep every night. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, do yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out, if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. You may also meet with a counselor to take care of the stress related emotions, and then you will fare better too.

I am suffering from heavy hairfall. Whenever I get sweat. I drink 2 litres water daily, shampoo and condition after 2days. then also all the day whenever run my fingers through my hair 2-3 strands came out just so easily. Moreover I have gastric and pherenjities. So I take gastric tablet every day and I have so much mucous, I take zincovit and folic acid regularly, I drink milk too, and livosin also. As I dont feel hungry without taking livosin. My scalp is very oily and my hairs are very curly, frizy and thin. Suggest me what I should do?

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: For your Gastritis problem, you can take Schwabe's Alfa-Liv and Natrum Phos. 6x/ thrice daily for 1 month. Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

Dear lybrate-user all your symptoms are due to overuse of computer. This is called computer vision syndrome (cvs). You need to restrict yoyears computer use like taking break in between. Use antglare computer glasses. Your posture should be correct and your work ststion table n chair should be ergonomically designed. You sd also use refresh tear eye drops as rate of blinking is reduced leading to dry eye symptoms when you are working for long hrs on computer. Hope this answers your question.

Still water and milk are good choices. It is better for your teeth if you drink fruit juices just at meal times. If you are drinking them between meals, try diluting them with water and rinsing your mouth with water after drinking. Drinking through a straw can help the drink go to the back of your mouth without touching your teeth.

If your baby is having blood in stools needs to be seen by a pediatrician. The stool has to be tested for routine examination and cultured. Till then prevent dehydration by giving ORS, Probiotic and Zinc orally. Mothers feed should be given frequently.
