I am participating first time sex with wife on marriage night. How to participate without any diseases. And I want her to get pregnant.

See if your partner is healthy and sound with out any infection then there is not fear of getting infection but you must be infection free too. If you want to pregnant you wife then talk openly with her and move to have checks up tests for any std and hiv so you could make sexual relation freely with out any fear. Wish you good health.

Cholesterol medicine is given to patients who have risk of heart disease or known case of heart disease. In case of young person like you its not needed unless you have very high level of cholesterol. In either case one has to continue it for lifelong. Yes, there are certain side effects, but the risk is minimal.

Hi. I am 25 years old. Used to smoke 1 cigarette daily. Stopped since few days due to congestion in chest and pain in throat. Yesterday night I had severe headache, so I smoke again. But today since morning I am having severe pain in my throat and chest. With little blood while I spit cough. Puffy eyes. Severe weakness. Please advice as to what should I do. I have a history of pneumonia which affected me twice when I was a teenager.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hello lybrate-user, with history of pneumonia, cigarette is like a poison for you already. Severe throat pain and chest pain might be because of some infection and before jumping to any conclusions and advice, I would suggest that you undergo an x ray as soon as possible. Also please take care of your lungs as you still have a long life ahead and you don't want to spend it popping pills for everything-stop smoking.

I don't eat fast foods and other unhealthy foods, & also have a good BMI (not overweight) even though, my cholesterol levels are high, particularly triglycerides. Please suggest what to do?

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water.

Sir I am suffering from pimples. What medicine or ointment should I take to overcome this problem? Upto how much period should I use them? Is it mandatory that I should eat certain vegetables or diet to improve my health condition? Please help me in this.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you wherever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Pressure behind eyes from last 20 days. Sometimes pain in present behind one eye alternatively which lasts for few seconds to minutes. Headache present in Temples, Forehead or Front portion of head. Other Problems: Spondylitis. Sneezing and cough. GERD (GI problems). Anxiety.

DNB Ophtalmology, MS - Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Since u r having sneezing n cough...sinusitis is most likely the cause of eye pain.. but it should be a little more constant...sinusitis related pain is unlikely to be episodic and lasting for a few seconds only. Anxiety can also trigger stress induced or muscle contraction headaches. will strongly recommend a routine eye examination especially if u have not had one in last one year.
