Hi you have not given full details, let me know- 1. What is your age and since how long you have this problem? 2. Do you have dry skin? 3. Do you have dandruff? 4. Fresh ginger juice (1 tsp) + lemon juice (1tsp) + sauph powder (1tsp) - mix this in one liter of boiled and cooled water. Drink this water everyday, and you gas trouble will vanish it no time. You need not drink 1 liter of water at a stretch. Have one cup every now and then. But make sure you finish the 1 liter of water in 245 hours.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hello. For getting a good, healthy, young skin, first of all feel happy from inside as what we think and eat is reflected on our skin! Take enough of sound sleep & rest, eat healthy that too on time, drink plenty of water, don't take stress/ tension. And the last but not the least thing is - EXERCISING! I personally do believe in Yoga which helps in keeping the body in shape, toned, and removes the aging lines as well (but do it under proper guidance of a qualified Yoga-teacher/ instructor)! Do CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night. This cream has properties to iron the wrinkles from your face, fade off the spots on the face.

Hi , the tuberculosis symptoms should usually subside in 6 weeks and you should start gaining weight. Please have daily 1800 kcal diet and follow up on your body weight every 15 days and make sure it is increasing. It is important to know where was the tb lesion on your ct scan and if required it is to be followed up. You should also get liver function test done. If there is no improvement in symptoms after taking treatment then please discuss with your doctor regarding the possibility of drug resistant tb and this might require change in medicines. Regards,

3 Common Eating Disorders and Their Signs

Eating disorders can be defined as conditions that influence your eating behaviour significantly and which may give rise to serious health issues. Eating disorders are associated with behaviours like compulsively counting calories, puking after meals, living on a rigid diet etc. which often leads to a feeling of self-loathing and obsessive thoughts about food and weight.

Here are the three most common eating disorders and the symptoms by which they can be identified.

1. Anorexia nervosa - This disorder is considered to be a mortally dangerous condition in which the body weight reduces drastically. An individual is terrified about gaining weight and can take extreme steps to maintain their weight and shape, often leading to starvation, vomiting and many other health problems.

Common symptoms include:

-Reducing the amount of food to be consumed to cut down the calories
-Exercising beyond capacity to burn calories
-Recurrently monitoring your shape, weight and appearance
-Skipping meals
-Avoiding social gatherings where you will be offered food
-Irregular menstrual cycles in women
-Erectile dysfunction in men

2. Bulimia nervosa - Mostly observed among people in their mid-teens, Bulimia nervosa is a serious type of eating disorder associated with episodes of bingeing and purging with the individual being unable to regulate their eating habits. Moreover, the person suffering from this disease often feels guilty and horror-struck about weight gain and forces himself/herself to vomit.

Normally, people suffering from this condition exhibit the following habits:

-Binge eating
-Use of laxatives or throw up forcibly to get rid of calories
-Feeling exhausted and guilty
-Experiencing irregularity in their menstrual cycles
-The inability to maintain normal weight, in spite of trying to eliminate calories

3. Binge-eating disorder - This disorder is characterised by overeating, eating even when you don't feel hungry and continuing to eat even after feeling full. People suffering from this disorder cultivate a feeling of guilt inside them for overeating but do not try to nullify its effect by vomiting or exercising intensely. Some of the most prominent symptoms of this disorder include:

-Eating alone to hide the embarrassment caused due to overeating
-Eating quicker than normal people
-Being overweight
-Binge eating at minimum one instance every week

1. Protein is the key for the muscle building. Without adequate protein, muscle gain and growth is not possible because weight training demands for amino acids (which comes from protein). You should daily eat about 2.2g of protein per kilogram of your weight. For example, if you are 50kg, then you should eat 50x2.2=111g of protein spread over 5-6 meals in the day. Include high protein foods in your diet. Your protein intake should be from foods rather than from supplements. Good protein foods: beans, soybeans, whey, fish, dairy products (low fat variety), meats, nuts and seeds (almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds), peanut butter. Many of these are easy digestible foods. Milk is one of the best muscle foods. The milk contains two high quality proteins, about 80 percent whey and 20 percent casein. Whey is quickly broken down into amino acids and absorbed into the bloodstream. Whey is very good to consume after workout. Casein is digested more slowly and provides the body with a steady supply of protein for a longer period of time. Cheese is concentrated milk, so it is high in protein and calcium, fat and cholesterol. Include healthy skim yogurt in your diet, which can give you as much as 120 calories.-------------------------- 2. Eat custard apple (saripa, sitaphal) to put on some weight. This fruit is high in calorie.----------------------- 3. Healthy fats: avoid fatty foods. Most mothers, especially in india give too much ghee or butter to their children, thinking they will put flesh fast. But ghee is mostly saturated fat which is not a healthy fat for any body. Healthy fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids. Good fats: cold pressed oils (olive, sunflower, linseed, canola).------------------ 4. Drink pure fruit juice. It is full of sugar and added nutrients so it is a healthy and nutritious way to gain some pounds.---------------------- 5. Complex carbohydrates are also needed for gaining weight. Corn bread is also full of carbohydrates, one piece gives approximately 328 calories.--------------------------- potatoes are rich sources of carbohydrates and complex sugars, eat baked or as grilled potatoes. Pasta is a calorie rich cereal carbohydrates.------------------ 6. Eat bananas. These are rich in carbs and nutritious, one banana contains approximately 100 calories.------------------------- 7. Some people think that drinking beer helps, but it is not true, it accumulates in your abdomen, making it fatty.---------------- 8. Don't take protein supplements for gaining muscles. Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. Hello sir, Take more & more roughage /fiber in diet. Include green leafy vegetables salad &fruits like papaya, orange mausami in diet. Take multigrain atta/ add bran in wheat flour. It will help in your constipation. Otherwise you can take esabhgoal husk in Luke warm milk after dinner.
