Too much food and drink? Keep these useful hints and homeopathic medicines in mind

1. Drink a cup of boiled water in the morning before breakfast. This seems to cleanse the stomach and often works wonders.

2.Eat slowly. One of the main causes of indigestion is unchewed food.

3.Don’t eat food “piping hot”. Our stomachs are not meant to have hot foods inside them. A useful thing to remember is that if it is hot in the mouth it is hot in the stomach. This includes tea and coffee. Food and drinks that are too hot may disrupt enzymes and injure the lining of the stomach. So, always wait for it to cool.

4.Don’t eat on the hoof. Meals should be taken at a leisurely pace. If you eat on the move, there is more chance that digestion will not begin. Instead foods in the stomach and intestine will start to ferment, producing gases that bloat you.

5.Avoid eating fruit with the meal. Tempting though it is, because it seems lighter on the stomach than puddings, it is not good at the end of a meal. This is because fruit digests faster than dense proteins, so fermentation and gas accumulation may occur.

6.If bloating is a persistent problem, try simplifying your meals. Instead of having lots of food groups at one meal try separating them. For exam­ple, proteins need acid enzyme diges­tive juices, whereas carbohydrates need alkaline enzyme digestive juices. When you have to break down both types all at once you are not achieving optimal enzymatic action, so some fermentation and gas accumulation may occur.

7.Try taking slightly smaller servings and think twice about second help­ings. As a good rule of thumb, try to get into the habit of estimating the quantity you allow yourself using “nature’s food bowl”. Cup your two hands together as if you were using them to make a bowl. The quantity of food that would fill that “bowl” should be your maximum at any meal.

8.Make sure that you drink enough water. Ideally, hydrate your stomach with a glass of water half an hour before a meal.

Hello- over masturbation decreases the inner immunity and vitality so you are facing dark circles around your eyes. Start ayurvedic rasayana treatment. Increase the dairy products in your meals. Apply malai+turmeric powder below your eyes.

Hello Take natrum mur 200 ch , 5 drops single dose. Apply Aloe vera gel on the black spots twice daily. Take Blood purifier R- 60, 15 drops with water twice daily. Revert me after 1 month.

1. Do regular aerobic exercise like brisk walking/jogging/running/cycling/swimming for 1 hour daily 2. Reduce weight 3control diet 4. Avoid sweets, sugar, oily, fatty, excess calorie/cholesterol, saturated fat and carbohydrate rich diet. Take green leafy vegetables/fruits/salads. Drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food, bakery items like pizza/burger/cookies, soft drink, alcohol etc 5. Do yoga, pranayama, deep breathing exercise.

Few diet tips - not to eat fried food items and can eat all green vegetables, moong, chana, dal, rice etc and to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati and to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day and if possible eat eggs on alternate days and if possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla and eat seasonal fruit.

Mr. Lybrate-user, best method for increasing memory is to learn a technique of visualisation, where you visulise the page or paragraph that has been read or studied, that is create a mental picture in front of your closed eyes, and memorise it. There is a book written by one Mr. Silva - silva mind control techniques/ or methods. Search for it and follow. That should help. Caffeine increases alertness for a few minutes to an hour or two. But it is followed by a feeling of dullness. Repeated use is not advised. Thanks for the question.

Hello, this may be because of acidity/ indigestion/ gas you can take(if no drug allergy): 1. Tablet Meftal spas one tablet stat after food 2. Tablet Pantocid 40 mg before food once a day for 2-3 days. And follow care advises given below. Avoid food from outside, junk, fried, spicy fatty food take home made light food like moong dal, Dalia, chapati also tell me associated symptoms like vomiting sensation, loose motion/ burning sensation in chest or any other symptoms are present or not? so that we can reach diagnosis. Consult physician/me for further management

Hello, It's very normal after washing the face, we get clear glowing face as it removes the layers of the oil secreted by skin + the dust particles and pollution particles + dehydration done by exposure to the sunlight (altogether which makes the face dull and little darker). Also, splashing water on the skin refresh it and slight, gentle pressure of the water molecules activates the cells and hydrates skin naturally! Before consulting gastroenterologist you should first visit a dentist for evaluation of your oral hygiene whether bad odor from mouth is due to any tartar deposits, decayed teeth, gum disease or you simply don't brush your tongue while brushing your teeth. If you have tartar deposits those will not go away just with brush rather you will need professional cleaning of your teeth to be done in dental office. Also don't forget to brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush with gentle pressure on teeth and gums.

Hye, Thanks for the query. If you want to gain some weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. 1. Eat 5 to 6 meals a day In order to gain weight, you need to start eating 5-6 meals a day. However, it is important that you break these meals into parts, as eating a lot at once may result in indigestion. Also, be sure to include healthy foods in your diet for a healthy weight gain. 2. Weight train at least 3 times a week When you train with weights, your muscles grow. 3. Consume more calories than you burn. Eating calories more than your normal intake may not be easy, but you must do it if you want to stop being skinny. Make sure you don’t do it just by overeating at once, but instead do it gradually over the whole day. 4. Work out your entire body A lot of gym goers usually train only the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Make sure you workout your entire body for a wholesome weight gain. 5. Load up on protein As informed earlier, you have to consume more calories than your normal intake every day. You can do this by eating foods rich in protein like dairy, meat, eggs, nuts, dry fruits, pulses, sprouts, smoothies, milk shakes etc. 6. Drink your calories It may be tough to meet your calorie requirements by just eating. Drinking milk, lassi, milkshakes or fruit smoothies with little or no sugar can be a great way to load up on the required calories. 7. Try and eat fast (but don’t choke on it) Your body takes some time to give signals of satiety which is why eating fast can help you eat more. 8. Focus on recovery after each workout Stretching exercises, foods rich in carbohydrates can help recover your body significantly. Also, you should aim for 8 hours of sleep as inadequate sleep can cause several problems. 9. Be patient with yourself Hoping to gain weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Even if you follow all the advice that is there, you may end up gaining just 1-2 kilos in a month. Every body is different, and just because you are not seeing results in terms of weight gain, you shouldn’t feel discouraged. Living healthy by eating the right diet will make you feel better and more positive about life and increase your strength. 10. Believe in yourself.
