BHCG 850 means you are pregnancy but you have to do the test regularly until we can visualise pregnancy by USG. SO, right now we cannot say if it' s risky or not.

What should be balanced diet for 16 yrs old girl?

PGDD, RD
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
Eat local and seasonal foods. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle discipline and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that is important not any diet that is in fashion. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will help you stay healthy and beautiful.

Hi doctor I'm not pregnant now but not getting periods now took infertility medicines and injection but not pregnant ...
Please note that Tab Yasmin 21 is an oral contraceptive pill. It is also prescribed for menstrual regulation. But if you want to conceive naturally then you should not take Yasmin. And with PCOS when you do regular exercise and do some weight loss your periods might get regular also.

Hello sir/mam My gfs age is 21 nd she is suffering from irregular white discharge/white solids from her vagina tried many creams bt did not worked. Wht might have happened doctor? Is it normal or not. And how to stop that? please help me.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
The discharge may be normal if it is not too frequent, without smell, without blood/mucus, white in color (not yellow) and is not causing burning or scratching. Any of the above may be sign of infection. White solids are nothing but the discharge which has solidified inside the vagina. Again this comes infrequently, without other symptoms. Douching (internal washing) of vagina is practiced in the west but is not popular in our country. It is the best way out. Otherwise all she needs is regular external washing and sanitary napkins whenever the problem shows up.

There is a possibility that at least in part your irregular periods are due to thyroid dysfunction. Therefore if you take the right dose of thyroxine it should get better .Regesterone or primulut-n do not cause any issues with getting pregnant in the future

Symptoms, Causes and Treatment of Gallstones in Women

Fellowship Minimal Access Surgery(FMAS), DNB ((Surgical Gastroenterology), MS (General Surgery), MBBS
Gastroenterologist, Delhi
Symptoms, Causes and Treatment of Gallstones in Women

Gallstones are bits of solid material that may be formed in the gall bladder. The gallbladder is a little organ located under the liver. You won't not know you have them until they've block your bile duct, causing pain that will need immediate medical intervention, and even hospitalisation in some cases. They may comprise of cholesterol, salt, or bilirubin, which consists of red platelets. Gallstones vary in size. They can be as little as a grain of sand or as even the size of an apricot in many cases.

Women are more likely to develop gallstones than men. Read on to know more:

Causes: There are a number of causes for this condition, especially in women. These causes are as follows:

  1. Intake of anti-conception medication pills, hormone trade treatment for menopause side effects, or pregnancy
  2. Fasting
  3. Malfunctioning of the gall bladder
  4. High cholesterol levels
  5. Gallstones may be created when there is excessive amount of cholesterol in the bile discharged by the liver. This bile normally separates the cholesterol and helps in the normal functioning of the liver and other digestive organs of the body.
  6. Bilirubin: Bilirubin is a substance created when your liver wrecks old red platelets. A few conditions, like cirrhosis of the liver and certain blood issues causes the liver to create more bilirubin than it ought to. This can lead to complicated conditions like gallstones.
  7. Bile: Your gallbladder needs to exhaust bile to be sound. In the event that it discharges its bile content, the bile turns out to be excessively thick which causes stones to shape.
  8. Weight: Being overweight or underweight can also cause a malfunction which can lead to the appearance of such stones. The diet also has a bearing in such cases.

Symptoms:

  1. Fever
  2. A yellowish tint in your skin or eyes, which can demonstrate jaundice
  3. Sickness or retching
  4. Clay coloured stools
  5. Pain in the right upper quadrant of your stomach area
  6. Nausea
  7. Vomiting
  8. Other digestive issues

Treatment:

Numerous individuals with gallstones may be asked to go through surgery to remove the gallbladder. These include the following:

  1. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy: The specialist passes instruments, a light, and a camera through a few little cuts in the midsection.
  2. Open cholecystectomy: The specialist makes bigger cuts in the belly to expel the gallbladder. You may have to spend a couple days in the hospital after the operation.
  3. Without getting operated: If you have a mild condition and your specialist feels you shouldn't have an operation, he may recommend medicines like chenodiol, ursodiol, or both. These medications work by dissolving cholesterol stones. One may experience mild loose motions as a side effect.

What is the treatment for thyroid and what is the period to take medicine and risk for take long time medicine.

What is the treatment for thyroid and what is the period to take medicine and risk for take long time medicine.
Mr Umesh, By mentioning thyroid, are you referring to hypothyroidism? If so then treatment is taking Thyroxine tablets (hormone replacement). This has to continue for life time. Because thyroxine is required for development and functioning of brain, plus an essential part of various vital metabolic activities. Hence it has to be made available daily. Since it is an essential hormone there are no side effects when taken in correct dosage.
