Do calories from hard liquor add just as much caloric energy/fat as calories from other sources? What are" empty calories" so many people refer to?

And sugar is natural part of liquor so you can understand too much liquor means that sugar turns into fat which can gain your weight.

Please do morning walk (brisk-walking)/ treadmill/swimming for at least 60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Do never skip meals. Take a heavy breakfast. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods. The best way to burn more calories is to build muscle through resistance training. For each pound of muscle that you gain, you burn approximately 50-70 calories in addition per day (5 pounds of muscle gain equates to burning 250-350 calories a day!) That’s fantastic motivation to start a workout program. Please follow the above for next 4 weeks and revert for further treatment.

Hi I am 23 old year female. Could you please tell me how to reduce belly fat and how to reduce pimples and to look bright?

General Physician (AM)
Alternative Medicine Specialist, Chandigarh
1. Whole-grain bread. Research shows that people who follow a weight-loss program incorporating whole-grain breads, cereals, and other foods lose more body fat from the abdominal area than those who eat only refined-grain foods, like white bread and rice. 2. Low-fat milk and yogurt. Scientists have found that the more calcium in fat cells, the more fat those cells will burn. In one study, two groups of overweight mice were put on a restricted-calorie diet, but one also got calcium supplements. The no-calcium mice lost 8 percent of their body fat, compared to 42 percent among the mice that did get calcium. 3. Lean protein. Good sources of protein, such as lean meats, eggs, and beans, help keep your blood sugar stable. The result- you will feel full longer and get a boost in energy? and that will help you burn more belly fat. For pimples try (homeo) berberis aquifolium cream.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1.Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2.Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3.Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4.Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A.Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B.At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c.Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D.Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E.Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F.Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H.Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

Hi, I am 23 years old girl. Is skipping good for girls. I want to do skipping exercise to reduce fat and to be healthy. So I have a doubt whether it is good for girls.

Certificate Course in Fitness Management
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Faridabad
Yes, Skipping is good for anyone. But don't do the same thing everyday. Try to include other things in your workout as well to keep it interesting and keep the body guessing and forcing it to adopt to different types of stimuli. Side Note: Always wear a sports bra while doing any kind of physical workout. (Especially skipping)

B.Sc.(Hons), P.G.Dietetics

Egg yellow has high fat and cholesterol content. It will not reduce your belly fat, rather add to it. You need to have a balanced diet with high protein, less carbohydrates and fat. Include fresh fruits & vegetables in your daily diets.

I was 97 kgs before and I dropped my weight to 85 kgs with a proper diet. I just lose this weight in a month. if I repeat the same diet for the next month can I loose the same amount of the weight again?

Registered Dietician, Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
You must have adopted extreme weight loss diets in order to lose 12 kgs in a month. Theres quite a possibility that you have lost your lean muscle mass too, which in turn decreases your body metabolism. A consistent fat loss of 2 - 3 kgs a month is a ideal way to lose weight. This also ensures that you do not regain the lost weight with good lifestyle and exercise regime. With your current diet plan you might lose weight, but be aware that there are full chances of regaining once you are'off' the diet!
