I am 35 years old male. I have anal itching as soon as passing stool. This is not happening regularly. And also associating with some lower gas. I also faced the tests colonoscopy normal reports were came. Please tell me what was my problem?

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery

It may be fissure or piles. Colonoscopy is generally done to rule out more serious lesions. Anal fissure improves with general measures but may require surgery. Piles of an early grade also improves with general measures. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.

1. Lose weight (if you r obese). Obesity is the leading cause of GERD/ Acidity. Don't Overeat 2. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style 7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, Carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. It contains a lot of fiber which will help reduce tendency for constipation 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Take half cup of cold milk when you feel acidity, it will help. Curd is good for u. 11. Everyday preferably sleep on same time For more details you can consult me.

Expired milk can give infection but allergy to all milk product needs assessment properly. Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help chew your food properly at time of lunch and dinner. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Tab nexpro-l 1 tab empty stomach.

Hello lybrate user. Gas trouble is due to irregular diet habits. You can take the help of allopathic med. For emergency, but not on regular basis. Taking these medicines for long time have definitely many side effects. So better you try to take healthy meals at regular time. Don't skip meals or replace it with junk foods. Take aprox 10 - 12 glasses of water per day. Even after following these things if you are suffering a lot of gas trouble you can take help of homoeopathic med. Puls 30 / 2 globs x 3 times a day / 15 day.

Please give some diet ideas. I'am having anal fissure since last month and I also had anal fissure surgery last year but it comes again.

BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
Several lifestyle changes may help relieve discomfort and promote healing of an anal fissure, as well as prevent recurrences: add fiber to your diet. Eating about 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day can help keep stools soft and improve fissure healing. Fiber-rich foods include fruits, vegetables, nuts and whole grains.
