Hello sir. I am subrat . I have gap in between my teeth plus my teeth are slowly becoming yellow. What should I do ?
Its depend upon how much space in between teeth. If space is less then we can do composite filling or if space is more we have to do crowns. Due to some stains teeth are becoming yellow. Do proper brushing twice daily and if still teth are yellow then do bleaching.

After pregnancy my face becum dark dull and pimples too on it whr should I do I don't use any kind of cosmetic.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Hyderabad
After pregnancy my face becum dark dull and pimples too on it whr should I do I don't use any kind of cosmetic.
The eruption of pimples, acne, black heads, black spots, scars, pores and oily face are due to excessive sebum (oil) secreted by sebaceous glands and hair follicles especially on the face. Precautions- * Don't scratch or pinch your pimples. This will cause more damage---causes scars, pores and black spots. * Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. *Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long. Blocking pores by creams may cause more pimples. HOMOEOPATHIC medicines are taken internally. Hence, NO DIRECT CONTACT with your delicate and sensitive skin, thereby no problem of skin allergy .Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problems without causing adverse effects. To start with, take Pulsatilla 200—once daily in the morning and give feedback after 5 days.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Glimepiride stimulates betacells to secrete insuli. Metformin is supposed to reduce insulin resistance and slow down glucose absorption from the intestine. Plus it also has many more beneficial functions. Usually both these are used togeter to control increased blood glucose. In newly diagnosed patients metformin alone is used. In some both drugs are used together. Which drug to take for a particular level can be decided by the treating doctor. Thanks.

Homeopathy An Easy solution For Treating Dermatitis

Dermatitis is a disorder where inflammation on the skin is caused. It is also known as eczema. Itchy, erythematous, vascular or crusting patches appear on the skin. Dermatitis denotes an acute condition, and eczema refers to a more chronic condition of the disease. Any form of dermatitis can be cured effectively using homeopathic medicines. Homeopathy helps in decreasing the severe itching associated with the disease and also the frequency of relapse.

Here are some primary homeopathic medicines, which are used in the treatment of Dermatitis:

  • Sulphur: This is said to be the best homeopathic medicine for treating Atopic Dermatitis. Very effective results are obtained when sulphur is used to cure dermatitis. It is used mainly when the skin gets excessively dry and develops scales, accompanied by itching. The itching reaches its peak during the night and is followed by a heated sensation in the affected area. In cases where sulphur is used, the skin looks dirty and unhealthy. The patient also has an increased craving for sweets and tends to avoid bathing.
  • Graphites: This medicine is the best natural remedy for Dermatitis which occurs in the folds of the skin. It may occur in the folds of the elbow, knee, behind the ear and neck. There may be rawness with the itching and eruptions occur in the skin folds. Glue-like discharge from the affected area is also indicated. Graphite also treats eczema on the face, nose, chin and the eyelids.
  • Rhus Tox: This is an effective homeopathic medicine used in the treatment of dermatitis due to asthmatic disorders. Rhus Tox is used when the skin turns red in color, and the itching is severe. Fluid-filled eruptions appear on the skin. Scaling of the skin is also common among asthmatic patients who develop dermatitis. Rhus Tox is usually used for dermatitis, which happens during the monsoon.
  • Mezereum: This is a very useful homeopathic medicine used for treatment of dermatitis where weeping eruptions appear on the scalp. The medicine is also used to cure oozing eruptions, which occur on the scalp. Mezereum is used when a thick scab is formed on the scalp which discharges thick pus. Ulcers and vesicles are likely to appear on the scalp.
  • Natrum Mur: It is used in cases of dermatitis where dry eruptions occur along the hairline, or in the margin of the scalp. Crusting takes place along the hairline as well. The patient develops an extra craving for salty food.

Homeopathy is a very effective form of medicine used for the treatment of dermatitis and there are homeopathic remedies for all types of dermatitis conditions. Not just the symptoms but the entire disease is cured from its roots using homeopathy.

Hi, your serum creatinine is normal, but bun is slightly increased. The main causes of an increase in bun are: high protein diet, decrease in glomerular filtration rate (gfr) (suggestive of renal failure) and in blood volume (hypovolemia), congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, fever and increased catabolism. Hypothyroidism can cause both decreased gfr and hypovolemia, however bun-to-creatinine ratio has been found to be lowered in hypothyroidism and raised in hyperthyroidism. Blood urea nitrogen, or bun, is the waste by-product of metabolized protein. High bun levels generally indicate that your kidneys are not functioning properly or you may have underlying health problems related to your cardiovascular system. In some cases, high bun levels are acute and easily resolved with dietary changes. Management: -drink plenty of fluids daily to stay hydrated. -eat a low-protein diet. If your kidneys are unable to filter protein properly, reduce your protein intake to lower your bun levels. High-protein foods include red meat, poultry, fish and dairy. Beans, nuts and grains have moderate amounts of protein, and fruits generally have no protein. -cope with stress and manage your blood pressure. In some cases, high bun levels occur from excess stress or acute high blood pressure. Get a blood pressure check and monitor it regularly. (certain medications like corticosteroids can increase bun levels. Consult your physician).

Please review your lifestyle and bring necessary changes in your routine before you can think of medication. Eat only healthy food and avoid all junk food and cold-drinks. Have your food in small portions and take lots of fruits and vegetables (half of your plate should be fruits and vegetables ). Avoid addictions to alcohol and tobacco. Start exercising everyday so that the body gets energised naturally. Do not sleep more than 40 mins in the day time. Maintain the time table according to your needs and schedule your time based on your goals and priorities. Sleep on time everyday at night (sleep for 6-8 hrs ). Have a light dinner early (2-3 hrs before you sleep ). Learn yoga as it can rejuvenate your whole body and mind naturally. The intention here is to adapt a healthy lifestyle and focus on your priorities with a balanced approach. Lastly do go for a routine checkup (along with some basic investigations) with a doctor and follow up regularly. You can later contact me if the need arises for Homeopathic treatment which is safe and gentle.

What is Diaper Dermatitis and How to Treat it?

MBBS, Diploma In Dermatology And Venerology And Leprosy (DDVL)
Dermatologist, Raigarh
What is Diaper Dermatitis and How to Treat it?

Babies go through a host of problems that we usually refer to as growing pains. This article is of special importance to most mothers who are going through myriad problems like colic, teeth and even diaper rash. Diaper rash is known as diaper dermatitis in medical terms. When the skin of the area within the diaper becomes red and goes through inflammation, it is known as diaper dermatitis. Read on to know more about the condition, and how it may be treated.

Symptoms: The most obvious and common symptom of diaper dermatitis is the signs on the skin which will bear a patchwork of red blotches that may look tender to touch. The baby will also seem more irritable and cranky as the discomfort and pain starts to grow every time the diaper rubs against the rashes. Bleeding, itching and oozing can also occur, in which cause it is imperative to consult a doctor immediately. Also, if the rashes are accompanied by fever, one must get it checked as there may be chances of an infection. Diaper rashes can also cause pain during bowel movements and a burning sensation during urination.

Causes: There are a number of reasons for the occurrence of diaper rashes. Trying out a new product may sometimes give the baby a rash as the sensitive skin of the child may not take to some ingredient. Therefore, it may develop as an allergic reaction. This new product may be a cream, lotion or a new brand or type of diapers. Further, sometimes when we introduce new foods, the baby’s skin may erupt into rashes as a part of an allergic reaction. Also, chaffing or rubbing may cause such rashes, while prolonged use of the diaper without a change is known to be one of the most common causes of this condition. Bacterial or yeast infection can also cause diaper dermatitis. Also, antibiotics can cause rashes as a side effect.

Diagnosis: The diagnosis of the condition is usually done by a dermatologist or a paediatrician based on the symptoms that you list out as well as physical examination of the area. The doctor may also check the baby’s temperature in order to ascertain if there is any fever or any chance of an infection.

Treatment: One should keep the baby’s skin dry and absolutely clean at all times. Also, it would be recommended to use cloth diapers for a few hours a day so that the skin may get a chance to breathe. Further, the doctor will prescribe mild hydrocortisone ointments. Antifungal creams may also be used in case there is an infection. Oral antibiotics may also be prescribed in such cases.

Having a cap is not a hinderance in getting braces (orthodontic treatment) done. You can surely go for braces, but the treatment is time consuming. If you are looking for a fast option, you can go for crowns or veneers, as the situation demands on your other teeth (as you already have a crown on one tooth.)

Mr. lybrate-user, Tab Galvusmet (50/500) is definitely a good combination medicine. However, if adequate control is not achieved then there is most likely a need for some add on treatment. Since there is no mention about blood glucose levels, exercise, diet etc, there in no way to give any suggestion or give any comment. Plus in this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines, no prescriptions. If you come in a private conversation with all above details I will definitely be able to give specific guidance including prescriptions. Thanks.

Mood swings can occur in the week just before periods and leading to it. It is usually due to hormonal fluctuations during the cycle. You may want to try low dose pills like Femilon for 3 months and see if that helps.
