hello take high fiber diet. take luke warm water before and after meals. take green leafy veg, one fruit daily, plenty of water, avoid fried food , oily food, junk food, sugar, sweet, honey, rice,potatoes, white bread. include lemon water without sugar, coconut water with lemon , annar, salad, corn sup, broccali soup, veg juice, veg soup. do stretching exercise alternate days. do walk daily. don't skip your meals. have small and frequent meals.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. backache Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also used for the treatment of chronic back pain.Selection of the exact remedy depends upon the individual symptoms of the person.So share the complete symptom picture for the proper treatment. In the mean time take Arnica 200, 3 drops in the morning and Rhus tox. 200, 3 drops at night for 7 days.Take care.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi lybrate-user, There can be different reasons for knee pains which includes osteoporosis, knee arthritis, ligament injury, bursitis. I would suggest if he can try calcium tablets and increase calcium intake in diet as well. For pain he can do hot water fermentation and if swelling is there he can apply ice pack for 15 minutes twice a day. And would like to suggest Isometric exercises for quadriceps and hamstring muscles. It would be good if he start doing cycling and walking. I have pain and swelling in left leg that had a fracture 2 months back. What should I do.

Some swelling and pain is expected up to 3 months after a fracture as the fracture is still in healing stage. If the pain has gradually been decreasing over the months, it is probably normal. However if it is a recent onset pain or it has suddenly increased, then it may be a more serious problem and you should visit your orthopedist for an expert opinion.

I am suffering digenerative disc disease and spinal canal stenosys since last 7 months so what can I do for this. I have done MRI ls spine.

You can go a good physiotherapist first. They will do electrotherapy for pain relief. Advice some exercises for your lower back and also teach you proper posture.

SURELY SWIMMING CAN HELP IN BUILDING UP YOUR SPINAL MUSCLES AND IN DECRAESING BACK PAIN. All of us have either suffered from back pain or neck pain at some point of time or may know some one in our family who had. The good news is that most of these spinal pains usually get better within a few days or weeks. What’s more, simple self-help strategies such as these can be surprisingly effective at preventing pain and preventing it from returning: Do’s 1.Get more exercise for your back and stomach. If your back is hurting, you may think the best way to get relief is to limit exercise and to rest. A day or two of rest may help, but more than that may not help the pain. Experts now know that regular physical activity can help ease inflammation and muscle tension. 2.Daily brisk walk for about 1 hour. Try to cover 4-6 km in 1 hour. 3. Pay attention to your posture. The best chair for preventing back pain is one with a full back straight support. A chair with full arm support and a head support is preferable. Keep your knees a bit higher than your hips while seated. Prop your feet on a stool if you need to. If you must stand for a prolonged period, keep your head up and your stomach pulled in. If possible, rest one foot on a stool -- and switch feet every five to 15 minutes. Make sure your desktop is at eye level and key board is easily accessible. 4. Regular intake of Calcium and Vit D Don’ts 5. Watch your weight. Extra pounds, especially on your belly, can make back pain worse by shifting your center of gravity and putting strain on your lower back. Staying within 10 pounds of your ideal weight may help control back pain. 6. If you smoke, stop. Smoking restricts the flow of nutrient-containing blood to spinal discs, so smokers are especially vulnerable to back pain and neck pain. 7. Be careful how you lift. Do not lift away from your body. Don’t bend over from the waist to lift heavy objects. Bend your knees and squat, pulling in your stomach muscles and holding the object close to your body as you stand up. Don't twist your body while lifting. If you can, push rather than pull heavy objects. Pushing is easier on the back. 8. Do not sit continuously for long hours, take a break every hour. 9. Do not carry your laptop on one shoulder, use a roll on bag or a double shoulder bag.
