I am 28 years with diabetes and having insulin 4 times a day. Please sugest me a diat paln to reduse the insulin intake.

For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for more than 2-3 hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Fruits should be had as a mid meal. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

Recommend - start treatment immediately, stop taking sugar in you every day meal. Eat healthy food which contain vitamins and minerals, start exercise. Drink plenty of water. Insulinum 30 schwabe - 2 drops in 1/4 the cup of luke warm water in the morning before meal. Dibonil sbl - 10 drops in 1/4the cup of water, half an hour before meal, 3 times a day normal blood sugars. A normal fasting (no food for eight hours) blood sugar level is between 70 and 110 mg/dl. A normal blood sugar level two hours after eating is less than 140 mg/dl.

Mr. Lybrate-user, it is possible that if potassium citrate is taken it may affect fluoroquinolnes action. But most often in urinary tract infections both these drugs are given together. There is no harm.

First see that you are regular with medication and was taking it empty stomach keeping 45 minutes gap between thyroxine and breakfast. If everything was correct even then Tsh increased on thyroxine 25 ug, then increase dose to 50 ug daily especially if married and planning pregnancy.

Hello a healthy lifestyle can delay and even prevent diabetes, even if it is your family and you have inherited the'diabetic' genes. Regular exercise such as swimming, cycling, or walking helps to delay or prevent diabetes: 30 minutes a day is the recommended minimum, but 90 minutes a day is needed to lose weight. Exercise is proven to prevent diabetes. Gaining weight increases the risk of diabetes 2-3 times at least. A healthy diet helps to delay or prevent diabetes.

Hi Tsh of the 11.5 for a 67 year old male, i am taking thyronorm 50 mcg. What is the solution now .

Hi Tsh of the 11.5 for a 67 year old male, i am taking thyronorm 50 mcg. What is the solution now .
Hello, The solution is to bring TSH level down to 3 to 4 mU/L, then only all the symptoms related to hypothyroidism are in control. You will have to check TSH level after 6 to 8 weeks of starting treatment with thyroxine or the current dose that is being taken. If TSH level is not as mentioned above then dose may have to be increased. Thanks.
