Looks like you have freckles, it can also be lentigenes. This can arise in association with some other systems involvement too. Most commonly, intestinal associations can be seen. So, it's important that you consult a specialist physically. Apart from this, you can use a sunscreen with physical block and chemical agents, this will protect your skin from harmful uv rays which will increase these tiny black spots. Make sure your diet is rich in lycopene, this is present in plenty in tomatoes which is more beneficial if had in processed form as puree, ketchup, paste or sauce. Use kojivit gel twice daily over spots.

Say Goodbye to Acne, Scarring and Pigmentation

BAMS, MD (Panchkarma)
Ayurveda, Mumbai
Say Goodbye to Acne, Scarring and Pigmentation

With high level of pollution, now-a-days, most of us suffer from a number of skin allergies and acne is one of the most common ailments, which affects us all. With acne it is very difficult to have a clear and blemish free skin.

Acne appears when a pore in our skin clogs. This clog begins with dead skin cells. Normally, dead skin cells rise to surface of the pore, and the body sheds the cells. When the body starts to make lots of sebum (see-bum), oil that keeps our skin from drying out, the dead skin cells can stick together inside the pore. Instead of rising to the surface, the cells become trapped inside the pore.

Sometimes bacteria that live on our skin also get inside the clogged pore. Inside the pore, the bacteria have a perfect environment for multiplying very quickly. With loads of bacteria inside, the pore becomes inflamed (red and swollen). If the inflammation goes deep into the skin, an acne cyst or nodule appears

How do you know that you are suffering from acne?
Many people think that acne is just pimples. But a person who has acne can have any of these blemishes:

  1. Blackheads
  2. Whiteheads
  3. Papules
  4. Pustules
  5. Cysts
  6. Nodules

Acne often affects your face, but it can appear on other areas of the body. Acne can appear on the back, chest, neck, shoulders, upper arms and buttocks.

How you can keep acne at bay?

  1. Wash twice a day and after sweating: Perspiration, especially when wearing a hat or helmet, can make acne worse, so wash your skin as soon as possible after sweating.
  2. Use your fingertips to apply a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser: Using a washcloth, mesh sponge or anything else can irritate the skin.
  3. Be gentle with your skin: Use gentle products, such as those that are alcohol-free. Do not use products that irritate your skin, which may include astringents, toners and exfoliants. Dry, red skin makes acne appear worse.
  4. Scrubbing your skin can make acne worse: Avoid the temptation to scrub your skin and rinse with lukewarm water
  5. Shampoo regularly: If you have oily hair (learn about the Remedies for Oily Hair), shampoo daily.
  6. Let your skin heal naturally: If you pick, pop or squeeze your acne, your skin will take longer to clear and you increase the risk of getting acne scars.
  7. Keep your hands off your face: Touching your skin throughout the day can cause flare-ups.
  8. Avoid sun: Tanning damages your skin. In addition, some acne medications make the skin very sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light, which you get from both the sun and indoor tanning (learn more about the Remedies for Sun Tan) devices.

Hi lybrate-user I am sorry to say that no fairness cream or treatment can make a permanent change in your skin tone. All treatments are temporary, some general measures can be taken like avoiding too much sun light to prevent melanin formation in excess, good hydration, proper diet which is healthy in general, washing your face often etc. Skin tone is determined by genes only and they can not be changed with any local treatment. You should feel confident about yourself and start loving yourself as you are; then you will not even bother about the skin tone. Skin tone does not make a person what he or she is. It is you who can make a difference.

These problems may be due to allergy. All of the allergies, what is done, is avoid direct contact with the allergen. As a routine we doctors do prescribe antihistamincs and/or steroids in the form of oral, local. And injectable medicines. Allergy tests are available and after finding the specific antigen, desensitization also can be done. Hope you are helped. Regards.

Using sunscreen is a must. But using different types is of no help. Uv rays damage skin cells producing free radicals and a variety of effects like blemishes, pigmentation, darkness and dullness of skin. They need to provide protection from uva and uvb rays. A sunscreen of spf 30 at least should b used. Also, look for pa+++ on the product. Also, go for sunscreens with both physical blocks and chemical agents like avobenzone. Use a gel based sunscreen if you have an oily skin like sun cross aqua gel. Repeat sunscreen after every three hours, use even when indoors. Uv ray's enter even through your windows and car windshields. Use sunscreen before and after you go swimming. You can use make up or cosmetics over your sunscreen half an hour later. Hair diet eat cheese, butter, ghee, ice cream, chocolates. Have liver. Egg yolk is good for this, not the whites. This diet vil definitely make a difference for you. You need to incorporate pulses-beans, peas, horsegram, bengal gram, lentils, black gram, red gram, urad dal, black, yellow, red dal in cooked form as curry, in salads, in relishes, in samhave fish -sardine, mackerel, tuna. Salmon. Plenty of meat -chicken, beef, mutton. Have milk and milk products in the plenty.

My underarms are becoming black. How can I make my underarms bright please help me.
It is very essential to cleanse and exfoliate underarm nd inner thigh area skin every day just as we do with our faces. When we neglect other parts while pampering face, this results in patchy dark skin. So follow this daily care routine for getting rid of dark folded areas. •Take milk and rub your dark area with it. Milk is an excellent cleanser and a toner too. •After cleansing, use a scrub, preferably APRICOT SCRUB (BAKSON), to exfoliate the skin around your dark areas. •You may mix olive oil with sugar and rub gently to scrub your dark areas •Sometimes use another scrub having bleaching agent such as lemon juice. You will find many scrubs here in this article that you can use for daily exfoliation. •After exfoliating, wash off with water and apply some moisturizer. •Never step out in sun when you apply lemon juice on your skin. This will make your dark areas darker than before. If you follow the above skin care regime daily, you will begin seeing result in a two week’s time. However, do not stop and continue cleansing, scrubbing and moisturizing your skin. Home Remedy Oats is not only good for your overall health but also for your patchy dark spots. As we do not pay more attention towards cleaning our other areas while doing every thing for our face- from cleansing, scrubbing, moisturizing and what not – our skin folds gets dirty with the oil and fine grit deposits. This makes it look patchy and dark. Oats can be used as a scrub as well as a mask for dark areas when mixed with certain other skin lightening ingredients. Use oats as a scrub for dark areas You will need: • Oats – ground it coarsely, do not make fine powder out of it • Tomato pulp • Water • Moisturizer Directions: • Take the coarsely ground oats powder. • Mix tomato pulp to it to get a paste like consistency. • Apply this mixture to your entire folded region. • Leave it for about 15-20 minutes. • Now wet your fingers a littles and start rubbing your dark areas gently in circular motions. The coarse oats will have an exfoliating effect to remove dead skin cells from your dark areas. • After scrubbing dark areas with this natural oats scrub for about 5-7 minutes, wash off with water. • Apply some moisturizer on dark folded areas and massage gently. You may use this scrub twice or even thrice in a week depending upon the intensity of dark patchy folded skin. While oats will remove dirt and dead cells, tomato pulp will lighten the skin due to its natural bleaching properties. Homoeopathic medicine BLOOME-201 SOAP (BIOFORCE) Apply this soap while taking bath------ SILK nd STAY BODY MOISTURISING CREAM (SBL) Apply on dark patch folded areas twice daily Consult me after 30 days.

Acne is a common problem in teen. Almost everybody will get pimples during their teen years. First, Don't try to self treat acne. Some popular nonprescription acne lotions, cleansers and other skin products can cause a serious reaction(rare), mostly it is normal to have acne in teenage. For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, Avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin E on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin E to a scar will help it heal faster. But according to a study , applying the nutrient directly onto a scar can actually hinder its healing. In the study, vitamin E either had no effect or made matters worse for 90% of the patients, and 33% who put vitamin E on the skin developed a contact dermatitis. Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids through a diet significantly rich in fish and seafood results in lower rates of an inflammatory disease like acne. A low-glycemic-index diet also reduces acne risk. I being a both a registered dietitian (RD) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications . I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for Rx.

What to Know About Contact Dermatitis

MBBS, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)
Dermatologist, Delhi
What to Know About Contact Dermatitis

Some people use the same soap for a lifetime not because they are loyal to the soap brand, but because they fear the reaction their skin would have to other soaps. Similarly, people across the world often see rashes erupt after using a new perfume, cosmetics, jewellery or after coming in contact with plants, such as poison ivy or poison oak. This condition is known as Contact Dermatitis. This can be described as skin condition where the skin is inflamed, red and itchy as a result of exposure to a foreign substance.

Most cases of contact dermatitis are not serious, but can be quite unpleasant. There are three types of contact dermatitis. These are:

  1. Allergic Contact Dermatitis: This condition occurs when the skin is exposed to an irritant it may be allergic to. Common triggers are jewellery, perfumes and latex.
  2. Irritant Contact Dermatitis: This is the most common form of this skin condition. This condition is triggered by toxic materials, such as bleach, battery acid, detergents, drain cleaners and kerosene. It is also known as hand eczema as it often occurs as a reaction to soaps or over exposure to water.
  3. Photo Contact Dermatitis: This is the rarest form of contact dermatitis. It occurs when the active ingredients in sunscreen are exposed to sunlight.

Inflamed skin is one of the first symptoms of contact dermatitis. Some of the other symptoms are:

  • Dry, flaky skin
  • Redness of the skin
  • Blisters that may be dry or oozing
  • Burning sensation on the skin
  • Itchiness
  • Sun sensitivity

Contact Dermatitis on its own rarely requires anything more than medication. Most cases often subside on their own. Avoid scratching the infected skin as it can make the condition worse. Wash the affected area as often as possible with cool water and soap. Over the counter anti itch treatment like calamine lotion and hydrocortisone cream can help ease the itchiness and inflammation. An anti histamine drug could also be beneficial. If the rash covers a large expanse of skin, consult a doctor who may prescribe a stronger steroid cream.

With contact dermatitis, prevention is better than cure. Three easy tips to follow to protect yourselves against the skin condition are:

  • Only use those products that are labeled hypoallergenic or unscented.
  • Use vinyl gloves instead of latex gloves
  • Cover all exposed skin when working outdoors, hiking etc.

Dear lybrate user. Your are mistaking. Every rich man is not fairer with glowing face. Every middle class men are not skinny or darker in colour.
