Sir, I am a cool and calm person but rarely I'll get high angry at that time I can't control my anger and I'll break any object's which are near to me. How can I control my anger.

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
1. Think before you speak In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same. 2. Once you're calm, express your anger As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them. 3. Get some exercise Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other enjoyable physical activities. 4. Take a timeout Timeouts aren't just for kids. Give yourself short breaks during times of the day that tend to be stressful. A few moments of quiet time might help you feel better prepared to handle what's ahead without getting irritated or angry. 5. Identify possible solutions Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue at hand. Does your child's messy room drive you crazy? Close the door. Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in the evening — or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind yourself that anger won't fix anything and might only make it worse. 6. Stick with 'I' statements To avoid criticizing or placing blame — which might only increase tension — use "I" statements to describe the problem. Be respectful and specific. For example, say, "I'm upset that you left the table without offering to help with the dishes," instead of, "You never do any housework." 7. Don't hold a grudge Forgiveness is a powerful tool. If you allow anger and other negative feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice. But if you can forgive someone who angered you, you might both learn from the situation. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to behave exactly as you want at all times. 8. Use humor to release tension Lightening up can help diffuse tension. Use humor to help you face what's making you angry and, possibly, any unrealistic expectations you have for how things should go. Avoid sarcasm, though — it can hurt feelings and make things worse. 9. Practice relaxation skills When your temper flares, put relaxation skills to work. Practice deep-breathing exercises, imagine a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase, such as, "Take it easy." You might also listen to music, write in a journal or do a few yoga poses — whatever it takes to encourage relaxation. 10. Know when to seek help Learning to control anger is a challenge for everyone at times. Consider seeking help for anger issues if your anger seems out of control, causes you to do things you regret or hurts those around you.

I am feeling quite sensitive about my health from quite some time. This all happened due to anxiety disorder which I suffered from 6 months back and I am doing every possible thing to overcome it. I underwent various checkups ranging from Cardiology to anxiety. However each and every report was fine, and at end of diagnosis I was given etizola by my psychiatrist. After taking this medicine for almost two months regularly I found no pressure in my chest and sensitivity. Everything which gave me sleeplessness vanished off. But I left the medicine in midway and almost after a month the all things like chest pressure, chest pinching returned back. But I have once again started to take medicines and they are relieving me. But I am feeling a slight pain in my wrist and forearm of lEFT side. Please tell me do this all happen due to anxiety or I has to undergo any further checkups All ecgs, digital xray of chest, blood tests etc were good which I underwent 5 months .please tell me is it necessary to have these things done once again.

You seem to be suffering most likely from illness anxiety disorder, wherein their will be extreme sensitivity to minor symptoms and interpretation of these towards a serious illness. It has to be treated by anxiolytics as well as psychotherapy (counselling). Ask your psychiatrist for CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), or ask him to refer to a clinical psychologist for the same. All the best.

Ask your wife to be happy with you. Some men like large boobs, some small. Preference changes. She should have married a hairy man before marriage. Dont use hormones or medicines to increase hair, as it can have serious health problems. All the best.

Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual penetration. It happens with minimal sexual stimulation and before the person wishes. It may result in unsatisfactory sex for both partners. This can increase the anxiety that may add to the problem. It is one of the most common forms of male sexual dysfunction. It has probably affected every man at some point in his life. Most cases of premature ejaculation do not have a clear cause. With sexual experience and age, men often learn to delay orgasm. Psychological factors such as anxiety, guilt, or depression can also cause it. In some cases, it may be related to a medical cause such as hormonal problems, injury, or a side effect of certain medicines. Consult a psychiatrist Your doctor will discuss your medical and sexual history with you. He or she will do a thorough physical exam. Your doctor may want to talk to your partner also. Premature ejaculation can have many causes. So your doctor may order lab tests to rule out any other medical problem. In many cases premature ejaculation gets better on its own over time. Treatment may not be needed. Practicing relaxation techniques or using distraction methods may help you delay ejaculation. Your doctor may recommend that you and your partner practice certain techniques to help delay ejaculation, as well as medications are there to help. All the best.

The guys who claim they do 4-5 times, mostly do not do even once properly. In your age you can have good enjoyable sex once or twice maximum per day. Males have latency period of few hours before they can do second time, which increases with age. Do not be pre occupied with the number of times sex. Love is what your lady wants and she will enjoy sex with it and marriage is not a porn video life. All the best.

I almost have headache problem most of the time feel depressed nd sad .do not know what is this.
The word depressed is a common everyday word. People might say" i'm depressed" when in fact they mean" i'm fed up because i've had a row, or failed an exam, or lost my job" etc. These ups and downs of life are common and normal. Most people recover quite quickly. With true depression, you have a low mood and other symptoms each day for at least two weeks The common symptoms are (few might be present in a person with depression) Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort Changes in appetite — often reduced appetite and weight loss, but increased cravings for food and weight gain in some people Anxiety, agitation or restlessness Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or blaming yourself for things that aren't your responsibility Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

There is no permanent cure, like diabetes you have to give medications for lifetime. It will control the symptoms to certain extent depending on various factors. Get yourself educated about the severe mental illness, schizophrenia. The recovery depends on the type of illness, symptoms and most importantly regularity of medications since onset of the disorder. More irregular the treatment, more will be negative symptoms, resistant symptoms and deficits. You need to regularly attend a psychiatrist review for 6-9 months to realize good changes, and thereafter continue regular review as per his advise. All the best.

We have learned a lot about physical affects of over masturbation. We all know that masturbation is a healthy activity but when done in excess it causes many physical problems. But my question is that. Is there any affect of over masturbation on mental health? If so what are those? Does it has any connection with depression mood swings or any other mental disorder directly?

We have learned a lot about physical affects of over masturbation. We all know that masturbation is a healthy activit...
It does not cause any physical or psychological problems. Masturbation is a very healthy form of sexual outlet, do not feel guilty about it. Nearly 99% of men and more than 60% of women masturbate. It starts from adolescence and goes on in some people even till death. The pleasure (orgasm) from masturbation is said to be unique from sexual intercourse. In men, most of the liquid contains only water and some fructose and hormones. Hence it does not drain your energy. Many equate masturbation/ seminal fluid loss to lack of energy, impotency and so on. Many quacks, religious heads and pseudo healers also propagate the idea that masturbation is a disorder/ and wrongful behavior and instill fear on the mind of innocent men and women (we can see posters in train and bus stand, offering help for this behavior). Consult a psychiatrist, if you have excessive masturbation guilt or compulsive masturbation. Compulsive masturbation is when a person continues with frequent masturbation neglecting his/ her other work like education, job or social obligations. In fact masturbation reduces the sexual tension and helps focus on task at hand better.

You seem to be suffering from Borderline Personality or Emotionally unstable personality. The cause is unknown but research suggests there is an interaction between adverse life events and genetic factors. Neurobiological research suggests that abnormalities in the frontolimbic networks are associated with many of the symptoms There is a pattern of sometimes rapid fluctuation from periods of confidence to despair, with fear of abandonment and rejection. There is a particularly strong tendency towards suicidal thinking and self-harm. They have love-hate relationship with close ones. Transient psychotic symptoms, including brief delusions and hallucinations, may also be present. It is also associated with substantial impairment of social, psychological and occupational functioning and quality of life. People with emotionally unstable personality disorder are particularly at risk of suicide. Its course is variable and, although many people recover over time. Kindly consult a psychiatrist for remedy.

Yes, it is quite normal. When u dont masturbate, your seminal fluid gets filled fully till the brim in the sac, with light pressure, or dreams, it leaks out, in sleep (nocturnal emissions) or while passing urine or stools.
