First of all you need to check your blood cholesterol level, if it's within nrml range then no dietery restrictions. Try to find out why your depressed? Find it out n try to find a way to get rid of that situation. U need to be a stressfree person. Though no person is perfectly stress free bt you have to cope up with this situation. Hello, welcome to lybrate. Com I can understand your concerns. All the problems you have mentioned are due to stress related hormonal disturbances. The best cure for it is to make her join a yoga or meditation classes. It will help to restore balance of the hormones inside and within few months she wouldn't feel the need of medicine. Also, the housewives feel themselves as worthless. That feeling also creates lot of internal disturbances. Make her feel respect ful and convince her to practice her hobbies and interests. It will help to elevate her mood and positivity. Ask her to take a walk of ten minutes before seeping. It will help in better absorption of hormones. This hormonal disturbance is a vicious circle. You treat one and the problem will erupt. Best bet is to make lifestyle changes and will definitely make you feel better. Keep up your care. All the best.

Dear lybrate-user, You have 2 disorders - one is seizure and headache, due to tape worm. You have dewormed your self with noworm. You are also on eptoin to control fits occurring again. Depending on the type of worm, you should avoid eating pork or beef in future. I am not sure about tingling and numbness. Please get a MRI brain scan to see whether tape worm cysts have disappeared fully. Another is your OCD, which might be before tapeworm itself. OCD causes depression, negative thoughts, weakness, anger, fell like hurting self, etc. OCD also needs treatment. Please go to a psychiatrist and take independent treatment for OCD along with eptoin 300.

These could be fears which are unfounded or have a rational reason. A counselor can help you to get over these fears logically and also help you to work on some unhelpful beliefs that you are having. I am guessing social anxiety or public speaking since you haven't given details. Rest assured that these conditions are treatable medically and non medically too. You can start by slowly exposing yourself to small groups where you are comfortable and then gradually move to larger groups. You might need to learn public speaking skills to give you more confidence. Do deep breathing, meditation and other exercises to improve your mental and physical health.

These are some of the known effects of using lithium. Incidentally, all psychotropic drugs have some side effects and so will lithium. Lithium can cause nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, muscle weakness, fatigue, and a dazed feeling. These unwanted side effects often improve with continued use. Fine tremor, frequent urination, and thirst can occur and may persist with continued use. Weight gain and swelling from excess fluid can also occur.

Hi I am suffering from mental depression because of my partner, need counsellor.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist,
Hi I am suffering from mental depression because of my partner, need counsellor.
You should go to a marriage counselor and talk about your relationship, if that is causing the depression. If you have been depressed before this relationship, then she cannot be the cause. Normally when a couple comes for counseling they tend to blame each other for their own miseries. This may or may not be true but to avoid playing games around this it is better that you seek the help of a marriage counselor, who will be objective and help you both see how you are both contributing to your problems. It cannot be only one person?s contribution alone, although how much each contributes may vary. There may be some lack in each of the individuals or in the relationship that has to be sorted out. You cannot have depression just like that unless you allow your partner to cause that affect. So you may need to examine yourself if you had any predisposition to depression in your personality, and that might become the area of focus. You could then seek medical intervention to aid with your recovery which will then help the relationship to go in the right direction for both of you.

Hi, I am sure adjustments have to be made from both side. As they say when you marry you do not just marry a man but his whole family. So I think try to think differently about their motives and actions to feel better rather than suspsicious or caught up. May be sending you every month is not feasible for them due to any problem or constraints talk with him politely and ask him- may be you can go once in 3-4 months that would be a better option. He will grow and learn from your parents as well do not worry about that. Try to establish a frank and friendly behavior with your in laws do not be hesitant in saying what you feel but just say it with utmost respect.

Why to be happy at all when we know Happiness is temporary and momentary. It is not permanent. What is permanent is Satisfaction. Think life as an exam. When do you get Satisfied? When you score most marks than the rest. So keep working hard when compared to the person next to you. Thats why Life is hard.

I am a 22 year old male. I have pain in my neck, eyes, ear. My hands shiver a lot. And lately I have also beginning to stammer and fumble a lot. My speech is also slurred. There is pain in my calf when a do any small activity. I have gone to various doctors over the past 2 years, but none of them have cured my symptoms. Some doc said I need a psychiatrist. So I m going to a few psychiatrists and all the psychiatrist tell me that I have different disease. Some doc say I have anxiety disorder, some say I have adhd, some say I have double depression, some say I have compulsive disorder. I m taking a lot of antidepressant over the last 1 year but still no positive effect has been there. I m very stressed now. And I am feeling hopeless and helpless. No doctor can cure my disease or even find out what I am suffering from. I have a feeling doctors are just telling me wrong things and making money. Over the last 2 years I have spent alot of money for my treatment. But no improvement. What should I do?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
I do not have complete symptoms to come to a diagnosis from the brief you have given so far. It will certainly help to meet with a counselor too, or a clinical psychologist who could conduct some psychological tests and help to come to a diagnosis. Apart from that, do regular counseling for the tension you are in currently. Through that interaction, the professional can learn a lot more and give you specific help based on a lot of data. I hope your parents accompany you to fill in information from your childhood and cover any heredity factors that may also be playing a role. In the course of all this I suggest you explore either acupuncture or acupressure: there is a possibility that you could benefit from that. Psychiatrists are not out to make money out of you. If there are confusing symptoms, they have to by trial and error find out what kind of medicine will work on you and how much dosage is required for your condition. As they narrow down to what is called the optimum dose for you, then they can maintain that prescription for long enough to stabilize the brain chemistry. If you change doctors in the interim, you are not giving them adequate time to go through these perfunctory functions.
