Hello, Give him homoeopathic medication - Schwabe's Bacopa Monierri 1x/ thrice daily and Kali Phos. 6x/ once at night - take them for 4 weeks. Management: There are few yoga poses which helps in calming the mind and relieves stress. Exercises: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. (The mind and body are deeply connected. If the mind is occupied by thoughts and worries then the shavasana will be unsuccessful. Therefore one has to acquire the stability of the mind along with the stability of the body.) Anuloma involves inhaling through both nostrils together and exhaling each breath alternately between the left and right nostrils. The thumb of the right hand is used to manipulate the right nostril, while the pinky and ring finger are used to control the left nostril. There are many other poses of yoga like Balasan, Setu Bandha Sarvangasan, Uttanasan, Garudasan, Savasana, Triconasana, Viprita Karani, Marjaryasana, Dhyana, Bhujangasana, Anulom-Vilum, Pranayam, etc. Another stress-buster can be getting involved in any of your hobbies (may be a childhood hobby which you used to enjoy a lot!) - dancing, singing, painting, listening to soothing music, playing musical instruments, etc.

I want to know about depression . It's complication and treatment .how I can overcome my depression and live a happy ...
If you have depression then there are some major ramifications to take into account. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition or there has been some childhood issue, related to anger, that needs urgent attention. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved. These are the complications: What Are Symptoms of Depression? According to the National Institute of Mental Health, symptoms of depression may include the following: •Difficulty concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions •Fatigue and decreased energy •Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and/or helplessness •Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism •Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping •Irritability, restlessness •Loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable, includingsex •Overeating or appetite loss •Persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment •Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings •Thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts.

7 Effects That Smoking Has on Sex!

Graduate in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ( GAMS )

7 Effects That Smoking Has on Sex!

Effects of Smoking on Sexual Health

Smoking, in general, has a negative effect on the human body. It can cause a host of disorders such as mouth cancer, blood pressure problems, and lung cancer. Smoking affects the sexual performance of both men and women.

Here are some effects that smoking has on sex :-

1. Impotence: Smoking can damage the blood vessels that lead to erectile dysfunction (a condition where the penis cannot sustain an erection).

2. Decrease in libido: Smoking can cause various physical problems such as stamina reduction and lack of desire for sex. An individual who smokes won't be able to give an optimal sexual performance and this can further lower satisfaction levels.

3. Erectile dysfunction: Smoking can cause problems related to the circulation of the blood in the body. It can narrow the arteries that supply blood and this is directly linked with erectile dysfunction.

4. Tissue damage: Smoking can damage the tissues inside the penis thus impairing your ability to have an erection during sexual intercourse.

5. Early onset of menopause: It can affect the estrogen (a sex hormone) levels in the female body; so, women who smoke tend to reach menopause early.

6. Reduction in penis size: It can reduce the penis size in men by damaging the blood vessels and the structure of the tissue around the penis. This is more common in younger men.

7. Reduction in stamina: Smoking can cause a reduction in the stamina, thus a person will not be able to perform well sexually. It can lead to fatigue and tiredness during sex.

Of course, there are a lot of therapies which can help you recover from the damage already happened because of smoking and prevent further damage. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.

I get frequent anxiety episodes, due to any smallest reason resultenting to bp and headaches. Please advice. What to do?

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
Everybody has tensions and stress. What is important is how you perceive the stress and react to it. Counselling helps to modify your perceptions to situations which make you anxious. 1. See the problem in small bits and pieces and try to solve each piece separately. Don't look at the problem as a whole because it can be very overwhelming and scary. See, which parts you can solve on your own and where you can take help from others. Do you need to learn an extra skill to be able to solve a particular part of the problem? then learn that skill. For eg. If you get anxious about your finances and don't know how to manage it well enough to cover you for the future, then take help of friends, experts who know the subject well. Also you can learn yourself some ways to manage your funds better. You can take classes or go on the net to educate yourself etc. 2. Everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. Make room for mistakes and errors. This way you will learn from your errors and help in making better judgement next time. 3. Take external help: you need not take all the pressure. Delegate jobs to people who have the time and the knowledge to do it. It's important to network and have a sound support system of friends, colleagues, relatives, professionals, who can pitch in at the time of need. 4. Prioritise: learn to prioritise tasks and identify which are not important and do less of those. This way you will have more time on your hands to attend to what is more important. 5. Organise and plan: try to foresee the future and predict what can happen and then have a plan. If one plan fails, then have a backup plan. Successful people usually think through their problems from different angles and come up with different solutions if one doesn't work out. 6. Be flexible: be alert and notice if things are not working out the way you had wanted. Be ready to make last minute changes to your plan. It doesn't mean that you had made a mistake, it just means that some things are beyond your control and these things may not happen as you had predicted. You are willing to modify. 7. Have hope and faith: that's the most important aspect. Have hope that things will work out well. If not now. Maybe later. Have faith in your own strengths and other people. Trust god and leave it to him. If it has to happen it will one day. Meanwhile, tell yourself that you did your best. If things don't work out, then don't be hard on yourself and others. There's always another day. Cheers.

The persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest that characterises major depression can lead to a range of behavioural and physical symptoms. These may include changes in sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behaviour or self-esteem. Depression can also be associated with thoughts of suicide. I have developed a habit of over thinking I always overthink on every issue and its been 3 years since I am suffering...
Hi lybrate-user, Thanks for posting your problems on Lybrate. 1. First what you have to understand is our mind is like a running river, it keeps flowing. But when it starts overflowing, we have to keep a check on that so that it does not cause harm to us. 2. Like wise, the problem you are facing is over thinking which needs to be kept under chack so that you can concentrate on other important issues of your life. 3. The cause for this is:- few of the neurons in the brain are over activated because of excess synthesis of neurotransmitters like Norepinephrine, Dopamine and Glutamate and under-synthesis of Serotonin. The levels of these should be normal for us to think in a normal way. 4. So, with medications, the levels of these said neurotransmitters can be brought to normal, so that your thinking pattern comes back to normal. Kindly clarify few things to me, 1. Do you consider those thought keep coming even though you try hard to stop them from coming? 2. As you know already you have problem of overthinking, what methods have you tried to control them. 3. Have you consulted doctor before and tried medications and counselling, if yes, specify treatment. 4. How have this over thinking affected your social life, personal life, profession. Currently I consider you may be suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is quite common in our country and with medications and counselling, it can be effectively controlled.

Dear lybrate user. Wearing female clothes and having fun and reading transgender books and having fun is called transvestism. This is quite normal and there is nothing worry. With this behavior disorder you cannot become a girl at all. When you grow up and mature, these fantasies and thoughts will vanish. Take care.
