Start taking lot of water take curd or buttermilk regularly to improve your digestion do not take more in a meal eat slowly and after 2 hours start your every meal with salad.

Hello team, I am 28 years old and used to smoke for last 2 years, I generally smoke 6 to 7 cegerates daily, The problem has arises that during 2 weeks I found a little lump on the mouth just below the teeth, whenever I smoke the lump has been increased in size, whether that may be made of flesh or a vein, I don't know. I just want to get views of yours doctors team, that what should I have to do now, or that may turn into a big hazard to me or not. Thanking you all.

Dear lybrate-user, It is better that you consult a dentist or general physician to diagnose the lump in the mouth. Prevention is better than cure. But in future, if you stop smoking, your chances of NOT getting such problems will be reduced. Since it is just 2 years since you started smoking, it will not be very difficult for to motivate yourselves continuously to quit smoking. All the best in your effort.

DANDRUF Hello. Your scalp has to be examined to know whether it is dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. Dandruff can come back again and again. Use anti dandruff shampoos to keep it under check. Hair fall in males can be genetic and due to androgens. Certain lotions can control it. Visit a dermatologist for your recurring dandruff and hair loss

I am 89 kg ,6 feet, 30 year old. What is my healthy weight? What can I do for it. Working office 9 am to 6 pm.
Your weight should be around 80 kg. To reduce the extra weight, you can follow the following diet plan: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea C. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk.

I will suggest you to do various sports activity like playing football, cycling, skipping and can also take calcium and protein rich food

Hello Doctor, Thanks for the tips. But why does a normally productive person start procrastinating? It there a psychological reason or disorder behind this tendency? Does subliminal affirmations / hypnotherapy (or even simple impositions) help with such cases? Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Procrastination is just a type of behaviour which develops and is reinforced due to unhealthy negative emotions and irrational beliefs. Behaviour therapies like cbt or ret can certainly help. Improvement with hypnotherapy lacks documentary evidence and is subjective to some extent.

Stress is one of the main reasons for people losing weight. So if you are dealing with a stressful situation at work or home, take up yoga or master breathing techniques to help you de-stress your body. Once you learn to de-stress and relax, you will find it easy to put on weight.

Fruits-Avoid banana, mangoes,cheekoo and grapes. You can take other fruits in moderation. Avoid fruit juice. Avoid refined flour food items like food madeup of maida. Instead use whole grain floor. Jwar,bajra, makki ka ata should be used more grequently. Take small meals frequently instead of large ones few times. Avoid artificial sweetners because they increase craving for sugar and sweets. Low salt diet for high BP. Avoid table salt, achar,chatni, papad,sauce etc because they are high in salt.
