I am diabetic. I use tablet glimp m1. I am 36 years old. I found that I have diabetes in jan 2012. Since then I take glimp m1 tablets. Please advice what other things I should do and what not? now since last three days I didn't take my tablets. I found my suger level 125~ 228.

Dear friend, don't worry start taking balance diet and a lot of water daily. Make a time table for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Add some salad, fruits and milk in your daily diet. Start some physical exercise to digest all this. Also take proper sleep. Try to avoid stress as possible. Gradually increase the diet and exercise. There are medicines also to promote growth. Tell your progress after one month to guide further or you can ask if any questions.

5 Must Do Exercises For a Fit Spine

Spinal cord is a very important part of your body as it renders support to your body. It also gives your body a good posture and thus maintaining a healthy spine is very essential. An unfit spinal cord can lead to various complicated problems.

The following are 5 must do exercises in order to maintain a healthy spine:

  1. Exercising your core muscles can help you to maintain a fit spine. Your core muscles refer to the muscles of your lower back and your abdominal muscles. These muscles give support to your spine. So exercising them can give you a healthy spine.
  2. Walking regularly can also give you a healthy spine. It is suitable for people of all age groups. Daily walking can help you to recover from various spinal illnesses as well such as spinal stenosis.
  3. Swimming is also a good exercise for maintaing a fit spinal cord. Swimming helps to exercise all back muscles and thus, gives you a healthy spinal cord.
  4. Lying down straight with your face down on an even and firm surface for about twenty minutes can help you to get a healthy spine and also a good body posture.
  5. Cycling can also help you achieve a healthy spine. While cycling, all your back muscles and the muscles of the lower part of your body are engaged in physical activity. If the muscles of your lower back are strong, then it can help you to keep your spine fit.

Other than these exercises, stretching your limbs and other stretching exercises are also beneficial for a healthy spine. But it is highly recommended for you to consult a doctor before doing any exercise in order to be guided in the proper manner and avoid further complications.

No cabbage, broccoli, no radish, mustard, turnip, soya, no fatty / fast / spicy / processed food. Less tea / coffee. Take more water you can smoke but it has many other ill effect so better no smoking.

Timely and balanced diet is as important and diet control. You can take green tea. Take 1 glass lukewarm water with half lemon in the morning. Avoid junk food and processed food. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at the night and don't skip breakfast. Take small and frequent meals. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

Dear patient, calorie dense food should be incorporated in your diet like dried fruits, potato, sweets, nuts, jam jelly, banana or mango shake, porridge, badam kheer etc. leafy vegetables should be restricted in your diet as they reduce appetite. you should take 3 major meals a day and snacks in between. butter, margarine should be taken. Adequate amount of egg, meat, fish, milk should be taken as it help you for tissue building in your body.try to take 1 boiled egg at every morning. you should eat more food at each meal. For Vit D, take sunlight for 30 mins daily. For iron eat more green leafy veggies and nuts. For B12 take more curd & buttermilk.

Please go for a routine checkup ASAP so that if there us any problem it can be tackled easily. Certain tests like CBC, ESR, blood sugar levels, thyroid test, urine routine etc can be done to begin with. Let the doctor examine you and see the reports to come to some conclusion. Yes running will cause weight loss. You need 5 Kg weight gain. For you strength exercises like bench press, push ups, squats will be better to build muscles without weight loss. Dietary changes are needed as well.

Hello I can suggest you the best medication through which you can loose weight and it has no any side effects. 1. Take phytolacca berry tablets (wsi), 2 tablets with warm water, three times a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Fatoline drops from haslab, 15 drops + 1/2 cup of warm water, twice a day. 3. Take 1 glass of luke warm water with lemon juice and honey in the morning for 15 days in a month. 4. Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. 5. Do surya namaskar, yoga asans like bhujangasana (cobra pose), sarvangasana (shoulder stand pose, vajrasana (diamond pose), pavanamuktasana (wind-relieving pose), matsyasana (fish pose) 6. Avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates. 7. Drink plenty of water daily. 8. Eat good quantity of green vegetables, salad and fruits. Consult a dietician to get a proper diet chart. Thanks.

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Sir. My age is 45 years .I am a Male person doing Govt job in Hyderabad. My Question is regarding my health condition. In the year 2015 January 11th I have taken some alcohol which is taken due to nonavailability of liquor in shops because they are closed due to festival. But one of my friend brought that 1 full bottle and after drinking that my friend has became unhealthy but I was became to join in hospital for 15 days. In Hyd only in Kamineni hospital I took the treatment ans still I am using medicines. From that period I stopped drinking alcohol and regularly doing my job. But I have a habit of smoking also. That also I am slowly reducing. Tell me about this unhealthy Please.

Never use potent steroids cream like Betnovate,Lobate,quadriderm,panderm,fourderm,for any skin problem on any part of body because after initial improvement of symptoms like itching, these steroid creams will aggravate the problem and may cause long lasting and somtimes permanent side effects like rashes, sensitive skin, recurrent infection,acne , dryness stretch mark etc.
