Hi sir/madam my self puneeth. N, sir my question is my dad was fat, now suddenly become thin copare to past structure now it has came down to 60% of the past. With out loosing past weight. Past his weight was 73 and now his weight is 70 kg. What is the exact reason for his loosening the fat and what all the test we need to under gone?

Dear your dad's loss of weight without making an effort is worth investigating. To begin with you assess whether his appetite has reduced or his eating has reduced over the past couple of years since when you noticed this weight loss. If eating has reduced or even appetite then it would be worth visiting a doctor. There are a number of tests that can be done initially. You can get a complete work up of his blood sugar levels, complete blood count, hb, lipid profile and of course complete thyroid work up. These can be done by any good diagnostic lab around your locality. Most of the tests would require fasting for 12 hours since previous night dinner. Get these checked and as and what required further your doctor can advise you accordingly.

Hi lybrate-user, it's gud to see you working on your health and body. As you mentioned about your problem one thing I want to ask from you is that only green tea you have in your whole day from last one week or you had other stuffs also. If you had only green tea so as to reduce weight its simply a not gud idea of loosing weight by punishing yourself. Dear if you had done this then because of this your body become weak nd you're facing these problems. Now it's your duty to first nourish your body with gud nutritious diet, and if you need you can visit your doctor and tell him about your problems if you hadn't do this thing. And when you feel better you can consult me dear for the proper diet plan for weight loss without harming your body. And maintaining your charm as it is. Hope you take my advise forward. Take a gud care of yourself dear. Have a gud day. It was pleasure talking to u.

Tips To Overcome Sugar Addiction

Tips To Overcome Sugar Addiction

You can be very much addicted to having sugar that many a times you might find it difficult to cut down on the amount of your intake. You might find it impossible to stop eating sugar. You might crave to have anything which has a lot of sugar in it.

Why is it bad?

Sugar is a fattening compound as it contains fructose. Sugar causes you to overeat, which in turn causes weight gain. It can bring anatomical changes in the brain, which gets you into an addiction. Sugar addiction is just like any other addiction, like that with nicotine or any other drugs. The only difference is the substance being used. Sugar can mess with the chemical balance of the brain to make you crave for it more.

How to overcome it?

To overcome sugar addiction, here are a few steps you can take:

  1. Observe yourself: This is the first step you should take. Observe what you eat, how much of sugar it contains. Take a note of how you feel after having sugar or something, which is laden with sugar. Keep a diary entry of whatever you observe about yourself and your sugar consumption.
  2. Practice self care: It is extremely difficult for any sugar addict to transition into a diet without any sugar or low sugar content. You will have to take it slow and add regular practice of self care. Do not avoid breakfast every morning. Remember to add in the required amount of fats and proteins (learn more about the Importance of Protein). Do not skip out on meals. Drink a lot of water and fluids like fresh fruit juice and sleep for at least 7 hours or more so that you get proper rest.
  3. Be honest with yourself: If you are trying to get rid of the sugar addiction, you have to be extremely honest without yourself. If you succumb to temptation and end up eating a few too many candies, then be honest with yourself and admit it. Make it a point to overcome the temptation the next time.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult the doctor and ask a free question.

You are underweight. Go only with the foods which are said to increase nutrient intake for the body and provide with sufficient energy, some of these foods have been listed below for simplicity: salmon tuna paneer soya beans soya paneer-tofu eggs shrimps granola bars cheese paneer yoghurt walnuts dates apricots anjeer raisins nuts and oil seeds peanut butter chicken breast gaining weight is not an excuse to get fat and schedule daily visits to all-you-can buffets. I suggest you begin implementing one principle each week and watch your body stack on more muscle to your frame each week.

Dear, you will definitely get more stamina by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. * very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time * drink atleast 2 litres of water daily. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. Then slowly walk fast and slowly start running. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can do surya namaskar yogasan daily to improve your stamina under the guidance of yoga expert.

The main cause of obesity is has to find out and you must take note of prefactor like lifestyle, eating habits. Sometimes people who are under weight gluformin (metformin) is not good choice if sugars are not under control or hba1c is persistently high. You should try and strictly follow diabetic diet (without direct sugar on day to day basis, oil restricted to 3 tsp daily- high fiber inform of vegetables fruits and sprouts) and regular minimum 45minutes exercise/walking/sports activity.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
