Protein is a macro nutrient necessary for the proper growth and function of the human body. There is considerable debate over the amount of protein a person needs to consume per day, the current recommended daily intake for protein is 56 grams. Hi, I met with an accident and have a dislocated ankle. I have out on almost 20 kgs post surgeries. What can I do to reduce weight? P. Hi if you cannot stand and exercise don't worry. You can try and do some basic stretches and some yoga if possible. Also make sure your diet is proper. Eat small frequent meals every 3-4 hours, avoid high fat foods that are heavy to digest. Stick to soups, salads, veggies, eggs, fish & chicken (if non-veg). Oats, daliya and the likes.

What can I do for weight gain, I want to gain weight.
You need fat to increase your body weight, but not all fats are the same. Saturated and trans fats will help you gain weight, but they'll also increase your cholesterol and your risk of heart disease. Unsaturated fats, however, help reduce your risk of heart disease and boost your immune system. Make sure every meal you have includes some fat. When gaining weight, you'll want to focus on these" good fats" to help beef up your body fat while still getting necessary nutrients that your body needs. Nuts, peanut butter, fatty fish like salmon and mackerel, and avocados are all high in unsaturated fats and calories and will still provide you with essential nutrients. Include these in your meals or snack on them throughout the day.

Hye, No food is usually "heavy" if eaten in the right amount when needed by the body. If you are going to have a very late heavy dinner, possibly by the time you need to have breakfast you are still full due to indigestion. So, it's not the fault of the paratha. Paratha is a good breakfast item. Breakfast must include a complex carb ie cereal source to provide glucose to your starving cells especially the brain. Giving the body just a fruit is not a good option, because that's not the need of the hour. Probably you can start your day with a fruit and then have your breakfast after about an hour or so. A fruit or a milk cannot replace a breakfast. So, don't demonise a food. It's all about sensible eating not restricted or crash eating.

Fruits are to be taken half an hour before dinner. Because fruits digest fast than your regular food and if taken after dinner will cause gas problem and indigestion

Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. .avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Sugar.milk products and sweets. Take oats and cereals more. And do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day. And do exercises. Do not sleep immediately after taking meal.

No creams will help.There are exercises specific for belly.You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your BMI, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are matters to be discussed privately. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given if you ask privately. May also need to do some tests. Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take ¼ of your total as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. Protein shakes will help you to gain muscle mass, particularly if you're working out. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. This is where protein shakes and bars really come in handy. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert.

Here are some diet tips 1. Eat high fibre food avoids eating food in simple sugar form 2. Eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 3. Try to avoid deep fried food and oil containing food. Control your fat consumption in your routine diet 4. Avoid bakery products, sweets. 5. Have plenty of water at least 3 lt/day 6. At least half hour walk/day.

My bowel system is not well. My stool is dark / Grey, greasy and smelly. Passing stool once in 2 days. Very tired after passing stool (Giddiness). I am recovering from that 2 hrs. I am having this for 2 months. I have done complete blood test and everything normal except triglycerides (363). Please suggest some treatment.

Triglycerides are high to go but if you constantly take herbals for that, you will safely control these. For bowels problem, you need to remove AMA from intestines and try to maintain diet which is easily digestible; your metabolism should be OK. If you need complete constancy and very a simple and effective herbal treatment, pl consult.

I will suggest you to Get your blood checked for CBC and follow up with reports and Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

HBA1C 9 is really higher and indicates the oncoming of diabetes related complications soon. You have to eat more fibre, whole grains, legumes over processed (polished) dals, sprouts, more fruits (in small portion at a time and with skin) and more raw veg in the form of salad, Omega 3 essential fatty acids etc. Doctor would give you medicine after examining you further, however taking chromium dietary supplement also will help
