Hello doctor. I am 5 months. Doctors done ma a anamolous scan. In the scanning report they said that there is single echogenic intercourse focus (EIF) in the left ventricle of the foods. I am so panic to listen that. Please help me, there is any problem in the functioning of the organs, after the birth of the baby and during the growth of the baby.

An echogenic focus in a a fetus's heart is very common, even in normal babies. Usually it goes away on its own and has no other meaning. Women are more likely to see this in their fetuses. Its basically a small deposit of calcium in the babies heart that is usually reabsorbed by the third trimester. It can be a soft marker for down's syndrome, but if its the only marker, then this is very very unlikely. That is why the marker is called "soft" It does not mean a hard diagnosis and these markers are present in normal babies also and they go away when the fetus grows. Only if there are 3-4 soft markers the doctors will be concerned because they will feel its too many to be a coincidence, and recommend additional tests like amniocentesis. Even then, most babies turn out to be normal.

Exercises is best and healthiest way of reducing weight and decreasing back pain. Treatment for both the problems is exercises. There are no magic pills which will make you slim and cure your back pain. You can try all the possible treatments in this world. But best is exercises. You will need diet changes in addition. Increase protein rich diet and reduce oily foods.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3 months. Revert.

Hi Lybrate User.... Green Tea is just another health drink/ food with some anti-oxidants... which exist in many other fruits and vegetables. You can have a cup or two every day but it will not reduce your weight or bring your hypertension down. To reduce weight you need to work on your food habits. Reduce fatty foods, Reduce salty foods... chips, pickles, fried foods, sauces, cheese, popcorn. Increase intake of salads, fruits, whole grain, multigrain. protein rich foods. Start doing intensive exercise daily for 60 minutes. As you reduce your weight.. you will be able to reduce your BP also and feel healthier and better.

For diabetes patient which vegetables, fruits, nuts & cereals are good for eating to maintain blood sugar levels.

For diabetes patient which vegetables, fruits, nuts & cereals are good for eating to maintain blood sugar levels.
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. A diabetic patient can eat almost all fruits and vegetables. However, banana, mango, grapes and chikkoo have to be restricted. All green leafy vegetables are good. Salads of onion, capsicum, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, tomato are excellent. Fruits like papaya, pomegranate, water melon, apple, orange, sweet lime, pear, guava, are good. Nuts like ground nuts, almonds, walnuts are good. Cashews in a very small number. Potato and sweet potato in a restricted quantity as those contain a lot of starch. However, to effectively control blood glucose levels appropriate medication is a must. Thanks.

Hello you need not worry. Its one of the possible effect of yamini, you can loose still. You need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Drink plenty of water. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Thank you.

Hye, Thanks for the query. It's is possible that you are not eating the right foods at the right. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.
