Dear lybrate-user, namaskar, forget about what you did in past. Now what you have to do is more important. Sleep early at night (sleep for 7-8 hrs) and get up early in the morning before sunrise and go for a morning walk / jogging / running for about 45-60 minutes. Join a gym if you can. Eat healthy food. All seasonal fruits and vegetables, proteins in the form of milk, curd, cheese, dry fruits. Consume 4-6 liters of water / fluids per day. Have positive approach and read good quality books. You will become strong physically and morally too. Take care.

My mom recently went to a gastrologist and he said she has "diffuse inflammatory gastritis" could you please explain what is this exactly?

My mom recently went to a gastrologist and he said she has "diffuse inflammatory gastritis" could you please explain ...
Mr. Lybrate-user, diffuse inflammatory gastritis, means the mucous lining of stomach is inflammed, (becomes more red) and irritates, can go on to develop some ulceration. This most often happens due to excess acid production in the stomach. It can be treated by using ppis (omeprazole, rabeprazole etc) plus bland diet.
