Hello, the possibility of liver abscess rupture is dependent on size and location of abscess. Superficial or deep in the liver. This is assessed in ct scan. After treatment the chances of rupture are reduced.

When I am eating anything it cannot digest, it makes inside gastric.
Please tell me solution.
Try to change your lifestyle. Initially take only simple and freshly prepared (homemade) food. Eat in small portions. Have fruits and vegetables which are easy for you to digest. Exercise forms an important integral part of digestion. Become active, go for a walk once or twice a day. Learn yoga and pranayam which will help your body to work efficiently. Drink warm water in the morning, and also drink enough water to maintain good hydration. If needed you can definitely try Homeopathy which is safe and effective. Contact me later if the problems persist.

Hello doctor, I'm male age 28 with alots of fats in my body a doc told me its a fatty liver due to that my stomach is...
Hi Lybrate user, to overcome fatty liver you need to reduce your weight and maintain a good and healthy diet. According to me you should follow a diet rich in proteins (plant proteins like- soybean, paneer, pulses, milk and milk products, tofu, soy milk etc and animal proteins like- chicken, fish, egg whites etc) and betaine this will help fight heart diseases, improves body composition, and helps promote muscle gain and fat loss (like- beets, quinoa, spinach, wheat bran, sweet potato etc). These foods will help you overcome fatty liver and also help you reduce weight. Avoid fried foods, saturated fat, refined flour, starchy foods. Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated all day. With this you just need to exercise for 20- 30 mins daily. And yes as you said that missing exercise one day gives you a weight gain of 200 gms so that okay as that an be your water weight or if you have taken a meal few hours before or must have checked your weight before clearing your stomach, or must have eaten something unhealthy as these reasons also tend to show you increased weight. But need not to worry just follow a healthy diet regime and do exercise 6 days will help you and show good results. Good luck!

Liver Transplant - Strange Reasons You Have To Go For It!

M. Ch., FEBS, MBBS
Liver Transplant Surgeon, Delhi
Liver Transplant - Strange Reasons You Have To Go For It!

Liver, being the largest gland present inside the body, weighs almost 3 pounds. It is a vital organ of the human body and performs critical functions which are required for the normal functioning of the body. The liver makes protein which is required for blood clotting. The liver also produces many other enzymes which are required in cellular pathways.

In many cases, due to chronic or acute illnesses, a portion of the liver gets injured or damaged. In these cases, liver transplantation or hepatic transplantation under immunosuppressive drugs is a potentially successful treatment which can be performed by surgeons under ideal conditions.

When is a liver transplant necessary?
Liver transplant is a procedure to replace a diseased or necrosed liver with either a whole or a part of a healthy liver from a donor. This may come from a living or deceased donor. The surgery is extremely complicated with an average duration of 10-12 hrs. Before transplantation, liver support therapy might be indicated. A liver transplant is always the last option, for any liver-damaging conditions including alcohol abuse, hepatitis, and cancer.

Any condition leading to acute liver failure requires a liver transplant, provided that the recipient does not have other conditions that will fail a successful transplant.
Other potential causes leading to a liver transplant

A patient is advised for a liver transplant procedure when the liver is damaged to a condition where a cure is not possible. The many potential reasons that would need a person to undergo liver transplant are:
Viral hepatitis which includes all types of hepatitis (A, B, C, D, E) which are blood Bourne or transmitted through oral or fractal route.

  1. Acute and subacute necrosis of liver
  2. Alcoholic fatty liver
  3. Alcoholic cirrhosis of liver
  4. Chronic hepatitis
  5. Cirrhosis of liver without mention of alcohol
  6. Biliary cirrhosis
  7. Cystic fibrosis
  8. Benign neoplasm of liver and biliary passages
  9. Neoplasm of unspecified nature in digestive system
  10. Glycogenesis
  11. Pure hypercholesterolemia
  12. Lipidoses
  13. Carcinoma of liver and biliary system
  14. Neoplasm of uncertain behavior in liver
  15. Disorders of bilirubin excretion
  16. Disorders of copper metabolism
  17. Congenital factor VIII disorder
  18. Congenital factor IX disorder
  19. Budd-Chiari syndrome
  20. Other chronic nonalcoholic liver disease
  21. Unspecified liver disease without mention of alcohol
  22. Other sequelae of chronic liver disease
  23. Other specified disorders of gallbladder
  24. Cholangitis, obstruction of bile duct
  25. Biliary atresia
  26. Perinatal jaundice due to hepatocellular damage
  27. Other specified perinatal disorders of digestive system
  28. Injury to liver
  29. Disorders of purine and pyrimidine metabolism
  30. Encephalopathy, unspecified
  31. Portal vein thrombosis
  32. Deficiencies of circulating enzymes

A liver transplant is suggested if other traditional treatments for liver disease aren’t enough to keep a person alive. Though waiting for a liver transplant is a long process, the surgery coordination happens quickly once you have a match. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.

You should go to a multispeciality hospital where there is a facility for icu and cardiac back up. Since he had a bypass and diabetic he falls within high risk category. Hence sx would be risky. However .galstones should b removed in a diabetic ptn laporoscopy shal be contraindican however open surgery would b safe.

The most common ways to reduce the discomfort of gas are changing diet, taking medicines, and reducing the amount of air swallowed. Do reply back for medication prescriptions.
