Hye, thanks for the query. The moment you think of weight gain, whatever is your workout or diet intake, does not justify taking a supplement. You cannot gain weight by just adding a supplement to your diet. Weight gain needs additional calories through a balance of carbohydrates, proteins, healthy fats and exercise. Supplementation totally depends on your present food intake & activity levels. So, for weight gain you need a balanced, calorie dense diet and a good exercise routine. Even if you do gain weight it will reduce once you discontinue the supplement. So, before you decide to start the supplement first work on a healthy diet and exercise routine.

Hi Take brahmi vati...smriti sagar ras and praval panchamrit..make its powder and mix it.....then take these medicines with honey twice a day...1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep....do pranayama early morning for freshness..avoid oily food...junk food.....avoid alcohol consumption...eat green vegetables.........walk for at least 45 minutes a day .

Dear lybrate user, sperm cells are being continuously produced inside human testis. A single sperm cell needs about 4 months to mature before being ejaculated. Masturbating ejaculates many mature as well as immature sperm & results in the temporary deficit of sperm count. This loss of sperm results in the increased production of sperm. A sperm is mainly made up of protein. An increased production of sperm count needs a steady supply of protein. This supply of protein is met from the amount of protein we intake daily. Over masturbation increases the rate of production of sperm to such extent that the demand for protein cannot be fulfilled naturally & it often results in breakdown of protein from muscle tissues. Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. Hello lybrate user- weight gain generally occur due to improper eating habits and sleep excess. Try these ayurvedic tips- a) avoid over eating, non-veg, fast food and spicy diet. B) avoid day sleep and wake up before 6: 30 in the morning and go for running. How to Manage Torn Biceps

Do you know you can suffer from a torn bicep accidentally? A bicep is a muscle which begins from your upper arm and is attached to the shoulder via bones and to the elbows by tendons. If you do heavy lifting in the gym or somehow put excessive pressure on that area, chances are you may suffer from torn biceps.

There are two kinds of bicep tears you may encounter:

  • Complete Tears where the tendons are split into two parts resulting in tremendous pain.
  • Partial Tears result when the biceps are hurt but the tendon is not completely severed.

Among the various types of torn biceps, the muscle that is attached to the shoulder experiences the maximum number of bicep ruptures. Suddenly, the bicep tendons get detached from the bone resulting in pain and numbness. You will find a number of sportspersons suffering from this kind of torn biceps.

But why do your biceps get torn?

  1. One of the reasons why you suffer torn biceps is a prolonged period of ignorance. If you have been putting continuous pressure on your shoulder, the biceps muscle can weaken over time. Overuse of the muscles can give rise to conditions of tendinitis (inflammation of the bone to muscle connecting tissue) and injuries in rotator cuff which, in future, might result in torn biceps.
  2. A sudden injury like falling over your arms or hurting your shoulder can result in torn biceps.
  3. Aging is another reason why you can have this complication. Added to this are unusually heavy tasks and overuse of shoulder which can result in this problem.
  4. Some steroids such as Corticosteroids are directly related to the weakening of muscles and tendons.

When you suffer from torn biceps, you encounter symptoms such as:

  • Weakening of the elbow and the shoulder. You will find it troublesome to move your hand.
  • Swelling of the elbow with bruises visible on the elbow and the forearm.
  • You find trouble in twisting your forearm
  • You will experience spasms in the muscles.
  • You can also hear a snapping sound of the muscles.

What should you do if you face this problem?

  1. Continuous applications of ice packs are a must. Repeat the activity 4 times a day with a duration of 20 minutes. You may need to do it for 2 or 3 days.
  2. Avoid activities which put pressure on your hands and shoulders.
  3. Consult a doctor immediately and get some painkillers as recommended.
  4. If you have complete tears, you may need to undergo surgery. Talk to your doctor regarding that. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

Follow the diet chart in your daily life * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. You can take 2 bowl of careals (moong/chana daal) on the place of curd or cheese. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 10-12 pieces of dry fruits or 3-4 pieces of dates (khajoor). * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. Exercise is very important so that muscles gain mass from the heathy diet. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy.

Hye. Thank you for your query. Eat an early dinner. Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. Avoid late nights and late night heavy meals. Try to follow some exercise in the morning to remove the laziness. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

Have 2-3 egg whites before your workout and have your normal breakfast. You should do your exercises 30-40 minutes after eating egg whites.
