•A depressive disorder is a mood disorder that is characterized by a sad, blue mood that goes above and beyond normal sadness or grief. •A depressive disorder is a syndrome, meaning a group of symptoms. •Depressive disorders are feature not only negative thoughts, moods, and behaviors but also specific changes in bodily functions (like, eating, sleeping, energy and sexual activity). •One in 10 people will have a depression in their lifetime. •Because depression can lead to self-harm including suicide, it is important to note that one of every 25 suicide attempts results in death. •Some types of depression, especially bipolar depression, run in families. •While there are many social, psychological, and environmental risk factors for developing depression, some are particularly prevalent in one gender or the other, or in particular age or ethnic groups. •There can be some differences in symptoms of depression depending on age, gender, and ethnicity. •Depression is only diagnosed clinically in that there is no laboratory test or X-ray for depression. Back pain. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Irregular menses is a medical complaint, depending upon rhythm. Duration, quantity. Accompanying symptoms or associated conditions it is diagnosed n treated, epimennorhoea,oligomennorhoea & amennorhoea (primary &secondary) are medical term for too frequent menses, scant menses and absence of menses respectively, irregular menses has somewhat factors in between all these 3. At times in first 3 years of menarche /first menses it may be irregular & heavy ,later it carries rhythm of 25-32 days on an average 28 days cycle is considered standard till final cessation (menopause, A. Menstrual cycle is a period in days from last day of menses to first day of next cycle. If this irregularities continues more than 6 months it is required to be investigated, hormonal issues per se or poly cystic ovaries are regular findings, other general health conditions such as moderate to severe anemia hypothyroidism on psychiatric drugs severe centripetal obesity may be causative agent. Depending upon actual diagnosis a proper treatment & Outcome may be envisaged. Irregular menses can always be treated well either with a gynaecologist or clinically trained qualified homeopaths. Drinking water id the best home remedy you have to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day and even then you have dryness then you need to visit the doctor.

The most effective way to get rid of your dark spots is laser treatment. And use good acne treatment ointments to reduce the chances of your post acne pigmentation. Chemical peels also work but laser is the approach.

Dear, These are the causes of acne: • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). • Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid acne: • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. Dear lybrate user, I hope your sugar control is fine. Hence, in view if this, the following would be useful for you this summer: - try having sufficient water - yes, please do exercise, as your weight is on the higher side, for at least 1 hour (brisk walking with proper walking shoes in the morning or evening, or cycling). Also, try to incorporate 20-30 mins everyday of strength training under a qualified trainer, as this has shown to reduce insulin resistance (ie improve your sugar control). - try not eating very sugary fruits like grapes, chikoo, mangoes (this you may have half a small bowl everyday). You may eat in limited quantity- oranges, guava, sweet lime, papaya, half a banana. You may have coconut water if you are feeling drained on a hot afternoon. - your diet for summer should include more fluids and fibre and less of cold, chilled, processed foods (even if they are sugar-free as these tend to contain fats or too much sodium- which will leave you more thirsty). - avoid going out in the day time, and always carry some sweet with yourself whenever you step out of the house. - though you would get tempted to weat open shoes in the summer, do ensure you take care of your feet and carefully wash your feet properly once you are back home. Ensure there are no wounds, cuts on your feet. - your daily meal would follow the same precautions you normally observe in your diet.

With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, physical exercise is a must, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. Recently they have discovered that moderate consumption of red wine and peanuts do help.
