It's been over one year since I have started feeling low from time to time. I have also been living alone all this time and now a days do not feel like talking to most people. Have mood swings (don't know if it because of irregular periods, got my recent period after 6months). I also have destructive thoughts in mind sometimes and have wondered about life too many times. I don't like to sleep at night and don't get sleep also, in the morning I don't feel like waking up. I stay and work from my flat mostly. Watch TV series and work. Don't feel motivated for most of the things I used to. What can I do to be happier and energetic?

Dear , I have read your question and understood it well. I can understand your suffering. With all these symptoms most probably you are suffering from a depressive episode. Depression is a common psychiatric illness which is characterised with sadness, preference for being alone, social withdrawal, lack of enjoyment in pleasurable activities which used to be pleasurable earlier, reduced energy, reduced appetite, low desire for sex, disturbed sleep, negative view of future, guilt, low self esteem, reduced confidence and suicidal thoughts. Depression causes lots of personal suffering and socio-occupational dysfunction. It is treatable. Already you have suffered a lot. I suggest you to consult a psychiatrist nearby who may assess you further and may prescribe antidepressant medication like ssri for few months for cure.

Hi it can be fibromyalgia. Some test may be required like cervical xray, diabetes, calcium, vitamin d etc. But first it will be good if you visit orthopaedic or physiotherapist personally for clinical examination. Meanwhile take hot water bath twice a day and take healthy and balanced diet. Best wishes.

Since hearing a few days ago the news that my friend's father died of heart attack, I'm becoming very confused and anxious whether I would get the same in future even though I'm underweight. Whenever I put on a little weight, I'm becoming very anxious and in the consequence, my weight is reduced gradually. Dear friend because of the sudden death of your friend's father you are in shock and worried. Please understand that you are not related to them in blood relation so you don't have the same genes. You are just worried and anxious. This shall pass in few days and you will return to your normal self. Chronic diseases like heart disease blood pressure diabetes etc are life style diseases. Homoeopathic medicine---------------- alpha ts (wilmar schwabe india) drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily for 15 days.----------- passiflora q (dr reckeweg) drink 20 drops night 15 minutes after dinner-------------- bramari pranayam daily-------------------- bramari pranayam or bee breath 1. Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. 2. Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each pinky finger near a nostril. 3. Breath in deeply through the nose. First, feel the diaphragm move down, allowing the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out; then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. 4. Use your pinkies to partially close each nostril. Keep your lungs filled. 5. Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat, not as a result of your partially-blocked nostrils. 6. Repeat twenty times. There is no link between masturbation and acne. Make a paste of neem leaves and apply on the targeted pimples. If you cannot get fresh neem leaves, try to get some dried bottled neem leaves, steep for 10 minutes in warm water and use as a paste. Apply pranacharya face glow on your face for 15 minutes then wash it with warm water.

Contact lens requires a lot of care and are expensive stuff.Moreover you must have to be very careful in placing and taking out contact lens from eyes.For those person who are into field jobs or drive 2 wheelers,contact lens are not recommended as dust particles can damage lens thus damaging eyes.But now a days contact lens is a common practise and if you can handle it with care then you can opt for lenses but always wear good quality daily wear disposable contact lenss of a good company like PURE VISION.

Prolonged working on laptop can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include headaches, blurred vision, neck pain, redness in the eyes, fatigue, eye strain, dry eyes, irritated eyes. These symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measure sto reduce this include the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level, work under proper light. Use antiglare glasses while working on computer. Blink a lot. Cold compresses and use good lubricating eyedrop.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Getting cheated is our mistake. He was the reason. He got things wrong and had wrong perception about those people who cheated him. He needs to understand this first. He should come back to life somehow and live normal. He needs counselling and motivation therapy. Take care.

I put things somewhere and forget where I put that things n starts finding them. If someone said something to me I don't remember after a minute what that person told me. Just like this I do study hard but when it's time to revise those things I can't revise I need to relearn each n every word. And after relearning those things I still cannot write anything in exams and it results into failure. Now I feel scared to go to the exams. Please tell me what should I do. You are probably under some stress that is not known to you. Meet with a counselor and deal with that to regain your memory. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week.

Hi. As height can be gained till 21yrs. Of age in males and 18yrs. In females, so you do have 5yrs. More to grow further! start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - bakson's hite-aid and five phos. - both thrice daily and thuja 1m/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity.
