Hello, walk is necessary but it is not enough to loose weight. you should try the following tips also:- Take 1 glass of luke warm water with lemon juice and honey in the morning for 15 days in a month. Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. Do Surya Namaskar , yoga asans like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Pose),Vajrasana (Diamond Pose), Pavanamuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose), Matsyasana (Fish Pose) avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates. drink plenty of water daily. Eat good quantity of green vegetables, salad and fruits.

Beetroot has a high calorie so avoid it at night if you are on weight loss. Avoid cabbage and radish at night as it causes gas formation. You can take tomatoes and cucumber as it has good amount of fiber and water which helps in weight loss.

Follow these best tips to lightens and remove black spots- 1. Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. It will slowly removes the spots. 2. Take a piece of aloe vera. Apply gel of leaves on mark daily. Wash it after 30 minutes. 3. Crush one tomato and apply the paste on mark. It will remove the spots definitly. 4.Soak cotton gauze in rose water and clean the dark spots 2-3 times daily. 5. Take carotene rich vegetable suchas carrots, beetroot and fruits- mango, pineapple, strawberry regularly . 6.Avoid use of any cosmetic products. 7.Avoid continous long hours exposure of sunlight. Go for brisk walk 45 minute daily. Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day.

Hello doc, my weight increase because off irregular period. How can I reduce my weight for regular periods.
Dear Lybrate user, weight loss can be achieved with Ayurvedic Medication, Panchakarma treatment, Diet Schedule and exercise. Weight reduction is very simple process though it should be followed for 6 to 8 months for good result. Follow this diet for reducing weight. “ Weight loss: Diet ” 1.Morning: half cup of tea/ milk/ coffee. 2.For breakfast: pohe, uppit, paratha, rawa dosa, thalipith, etc. In small quantity. 3.Milk products should be avoided: butter, paneer, cheese, meethai etc. 4.Fermented food should be avoided: idli, dosa, uttappa etc. 5.Tea should not be consumed more than half cup and 2 times day. 6.Lunch: one chapatti of wheat with any of the following vegetable. Vegetables: Snake gourd, ladys finger, cauliflower, cabbage, bottle gourd, red pumpkin, ash gourd, cluster beans, drumstic, green peas, radish etc. Rice should be taken only once a day, in half of the current quantity. 7.Evening: half cup of tea/ milk/ coffee. 8.Dinner: as per lunch. 9.Non-Veg and addictions like smoking drinking etc should be avoided. 10.Salt and weight: 1 gm of salt retains around 60 ml of water in human body, hence, salt intake should be reduced substantially for good result in weight loss. 11.Diet should be strictly followed for 3 to 4 months along with the medication and adviced Panchakarma Procedures. 12.Salads of radish, carrot, beat root, onion leaf, tomato etc. Should be used. please take these primary ayurvedic medicines for better relief. 1) medohar guggulu 500 mg twice day 2) arogyavardhini vati 500 mg twice day hope this anwers your query. First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert. Hello, good that you are health conscious, weight of 85kgs may include your bone weight and other good fatty acids also. Don't worry about weight, see that are you healthy enough or not, if you have a tired ness frequently, by waking for 5 mins you feel like so tired, then you have to think of weight. But I recommend, take more water in your diet and do physiacal exercise. Not a gym by default, but small things like, avoding bike if you can walk, some times play more out door games. Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and spicy food. And constipation.

Try to eat every two hours a day. Small meals instead of three large ones. Avoid oily food and sweets as much as you possibly can. •Try and set a routine for yourself and follow it! No excuses whatsoever. Remember there is no shortcut to weight loss. •Exercise. Cardiovascular exercises work best with weight training. To bust the myth, lifting weights does not mean you will get bulked up like men! •When you have time for yourself, you could put some music and dance. •Reduce the intake of caffeine, drink green tea instead of coffee. •Then the usual stuff – have lots of water, eat fruits and vegetables everyday. •Include egg whites and lean meat (chicken, fish etc) into your diet. •Ever-changing work schedules make it difficult to maintain / reduce your weight. But following a strict diet always helps.

A) Take 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 30 ml of honey and 30 ml of lukewarm water, at night before sleep. B) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice and 10 gm of jiggery before meals. C) eat 10 gm of black cumin seeds along with 30 ml of lukewarm water after meals. D) take 2-2 tablets of sutshekhar rasa and aarogyawardhini vati after meals…do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result. Consult to me for further suggestions…. THANKS…

Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Hi, you should go for 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes. Take lukewarm water with lemon / cinnamon powder half spoon. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

I had appendix operation in my teens. In my college days I was more busy in studies and no physical activities and ate whatever came in front (by this time I had already started putting weight. I was in 90s). Now that I started working which is usually sitting or desk job and no physical hard work. I have crossed limit of weight I am now 113. I have more fat around my belly. Now when I am trying to reduce I find It extremely difficult. Some say it is because of the operation I had and it won't go.(since ladies usually after delivery operation have fat around their bellies) Please someone enlighten me and give suggestions to reduce belly fat soon. 5 diet myths debunked!

The term 'diet' immediately makes you think of a starving and depriving weight-loss regimen. But diet simply means what food we eat in the course of 24 hours, one week or one month. Nonetheless, certain myths have arisen surrounding this term too and which have been debunked here:

Myth 1: cutting carbohydrate helps you lose weight

You need carbohydrates for energy. A minimum of 130 grams of carbs is recommended each day which is a far cry from low carb diets that start with 20 grams or less. Fat diets aside, what matters is how refined the carbohydrates are. Refining removes grain's fibrous coating, which leads to faster food digestion. That’s why whole fruits with their fiber and nutrients are good choices despite their simple carbohydrates. The idea is to cut back on refined carbs such as soda and foods made with white flour while loading up on healthier carbs like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

Myth 2: diet foods help you drop pounds

If you scan labels for the lowest calorie and fat counts you might be doing yourself more harm than good. Pre-packaged diet foods have a lot more sugar and trans fat. As with carbs, it is the quality of fat and not the amount that matters. Monounsaturated fats (nuts, olive oils, avocados) and polyunsaturated variety (in corn, soybean) help your cardiovascular system and improve weight loss. Trans fat and saturated fat have been linked with heart disease and even cancer.

Myth 3: the more you cut calories, the more weight you will lose

If you cut your calories too far you'll end up decreasing your metabolism and muscle mass. To get the most out of calories you should choose whole foods like fresh meat and fish, and whole grains that are as close to their natural state as possible. They have higher nutrient density than refined foods as they pack more vitamins and minerals into fewer calories.

Myth 4: dairy products make you fat

A dairy-rich diet can double fat reduction and weight loss, and help prevent weight gain. Three servings of low or non-fat dairy a day is recommended every day. A cup of milk or yogurt or 1 and a half ounces of cheese equals one serving.

Myth 5: brown equals whole grain

Whole grains reduce your risk of many chronic ailments, from obesity, diabetes to cardiovascular disease. The extra fiber in whole grain is essential. Whole grain foods tend to be richer in vitamin b and e than, refined grains.
