Sir or mam I want to ask one question. I am already suffering from migraine. please tell me what is symptoms and causes and solutions.

Migraine can be tackled by a combination of medical and lifestyle measures. Lifestyle measures: 1) regular intake of meals. Avoid fasting, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at fixed timings. 2) good 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep daily 3) avoiding foods that precipitate migraine like cheese, chocolate, excess coffee/tea and sour foods medical measures: if you have frequent episodes, you will need 2 types of medicines- one to be taken daily as prophylaxis and 2nd to be taken during attacks of headache for quick relief of pain. These medication should be started only after consultation with a neurologist and ruling out other rare but serious causes of headache.

Hi do you have history of parkinson in the family if yes then you should be visiting neurologist once, other ways due to improper intake of food over stress there will be vibration are due to inhalers are any other medication for athama.

Pain and aches are common symptoms of anxiety. You should relax. Have a relaxing and de-stressing lifestyle. It includes early morning awakening, regular yoga/meditation, daily morning jog/walk, taking healthy diet in the form of plenty of fruits, salads & sprouts, evening sports/workouts, adequate socialization, rest and recreation. You may download few relaxing music or instrumental music to listen in leisure time. If above mentioned measures are ineffective then you may be needed to be prescribed medicines by a psychiatrist. My wife is taking tegrital (Carbamazepine) 200 mg daily, earlier she was taking 600 mg daily but gradually reduced to 200. This medicine she is taking since the age of 12 due to seizures, and now she is 46 years old. The last attach had happened almost 15 years ago, hence my question is that she will continue the medicine or should stop it.

You should talk to an epilepsy specialist before stopping it. The chances of seizure recurrence after stopping medications is about 50-50. Studying earlier Mris and repeating the eeg might help in predicting if she needs to continue taking medications.

My fiance is having pain on the left side of her chest and shoulder. She has had it since Wednesday morning and his right arm has been slightly numb. The pain in his chest has gotten better but a lot worse in shoulder. He doesn't have money to go to the emergency room if he doesn't have to. He wasn't doing anything just woke up like that.

This could be due to a pinched nerve in the neck. He need not go to emergency, however, he can consult a physician or neurologist for evaluation.

Few diet tips - not to eat fried food items and can eat all green vegetables, moong, chana, dal, rice etc and to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati and to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day and if possible eat eggs on alternate days and if possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla and eat seasonal fruit and it's better to do physiotherapy treatment on alternate days till recovery.

In my left hand numbness started after my crt implantation. I consult nuero & concern cardiac, but no result.

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you will need other supportive medicines also.

Are there any interactions between homeopathy medicine and benadryl. I mean if I intake homeopathy medicine for arthritis. And for insomnia I take benadryl.

Hi, if you always take benadryl for insomnia then it is a kind of drug-dependency or drug-addiction, they may cause side-effects which would be visible later. Not to take it for your insomnia and recommend you a homoeopathic medicine for insomnia. Colds and cough are self-limiting and need minimal medication. Management: here are five tips everyone can use to help improve the quality of their sleep: keep your bedroom cool and dark put away/turn off all electronic devices while preparing for bedtime stick to a regular bedtime and wake time every day, even on weekends stop drinking caffeine by the early afternoon and avoid large late-night meals skip the late-afternoon nap, as it can make it harder to sleep at bedtime avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Do regular exercise. Go for a brisk walk in the morning. Medication: take schwabe's bacopa monierri 1x/ thrice daily and kali phos./ once daily at night for 1month. Insomnia.

As you are suffering from epilepsy so your doctor has rightly advised you not to drive because if in case you get a fit while driving then you can harm yourself. Regarding video games you should try to avert from that too as any flashing light can precipitate an attack. Try to keep yourself occupied with books or anything which does not put you at risk.

I am taking medicine for Epilepsy for almost 18 Years. Fitz occur once in 8-12 months subject to my lapse of medicine. I am 24 Years aged now. Doctors say as per EEG that there is very minor problem. I want to know is there any way out that i do not have to take medicine further. Is there any permanent cure of Epilepsy ??

Do not stop medicine, as it is the mainstay of treatment. epileptic attack is potentially fatal, suppose you get epilepsy while standing at the gate of moving train, or in a swimming pool or in front of gas burner while cooking.

Your headache can be due to migrane or refractive error problem or sinusitis and for now take steam inhalation over the forehead.

10 tips for how to sleep better:

  1. Rest in cozy comfort: quality mattress, soft blankets and cool temperature will reduce annoying distractions (too hot! achy back!) and help you relax.
  2. Turn on some soothing sounds: use a sound machine or a fan to drown out what may be preventing you from falling asleep within 15 minutes of laying down.
  3. Complete darkness: If your room isn’t completely dark, consider a sleep mask—this will also increase your natural production of melatonin, which is not only a great sleep inducer but a great cancer fighter as well (study).
  4. Snooze-inducing smells: wearing lavender lotion or using a diffuser with lavender essential oil may help you hit deep sleep sooner. Plus, who doesn’t love the smell of lavender? ahhh…
  5. Turn off tech and meditate: Turn off tech at least 1 hour before going to bed. Then, keep lights dim and read or meditate to let your body naturally make some sleepy melatonin (the hormone that is produced as it gets dark out, and regulates sleep and wake cycles).
  6. Skip or reduce caffeine: Caffeine not only prevents many folks from falling asleep at night initially, but it can also decrease the amount of restful sleep that happens at night (study). If you’re having trouble sleeping at night, try decaf, herbal tea or keep it to one cup very early in the morning.
  7. Go easy on the alcohol: Alcohol feels like a sedative at first because it slows down motor and brain function, leaving us feeling relaxed and worry-free. But, as it’s metabolized, acetaldehyde is produced, which acts like a stimulant in our bodies. This is what wakes us up in the wee hours of the morning unable to get the rest we need. So for a good night’s sleep, peel back on the alcohol and drink it earlier and with food (or not at all).
  8. No nicotine: Nicotine is similar to caffeine in that it’s a stimulant and may cause insomnia. And even once you fall asleep, you’ll have decreased slow wave sleep, which means it’s less restorative (study). Tough love: stop smoking. 
  9. Exercise: Try to fit in 20-30 min of moderate exercise daily, but make sure to do it several hours before bed. Ideally, 20-30 minutes of cardio in the morning with some restorative yoga in the afternoon.
  10. Clear your mind: If you’re tossing and turning after switching the lights off, you may need to hit the reset button on your mind. Here are a few things to try. Before going to bed, journal—jot it all down. You could also try a guided meditation. If you can’t fall asleep after lying in bed for 15 minutes, get up and do something relaxing for 15-30 minutes before returning to bed. Don’t give up. You’ll find a strategy that works for you.

I feel brain zaps/up and down feeling with kind of energy in the center of my brain that doesn't fall me sleep day and night. Zap is also sensitive to voice and noise. I take trika 0.5 at night that help in night. My purpose is to understand chemical status of brain in these type of situation. I am motivated for work but I procrastinate too much and I somehow connected serotonin for that but not sure how to interpret that (doctor said that but I want to explore more) I also got mild sweating and feel need of breath. I am taking consultation of psychiatric but I am looking for sustainable support and solutions to overcome this situation.

You can manage to some extent with medication. I recommend that you also combine counseling with the medication and get maximum benefits. Your condition is a fear-based situation and therefore many aspects of fear needs to be taught to you and ways o expressing them also. When you get frustrated with the fear, you will tend to act angry, which is a cover up feeling. People will mistakenly respond to the anger, when fear is the genuine feeling. You will learn all about this in therapy and that will help you with a lot of skills and techniques to cope with life with these vacillating moods.
