I am discussing about my mother's problem. She is suffering from the waist pain. Sometimes this pain increases so much that she can not do any work and simply go to lie in the bed. Please help me for this problem. We have consult our local doctor. He said that its a symptom of spondylitis. Is it true? What should she do for this? Please help.

I would like to examine your mother in detail & investigate. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1 tab od x10. Do back, & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that you are not allergic to any of the medicines that she is going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days

Take honey with cinnamon powder in the empty stomach in the morning. Eat lot of fruits and salads. Do not skip breakfast. Chew well before swallowing. If possible do some meditation or simply close your eyes for sometime. This will improve your condition. Consult after 5 days

Hi, here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Hi lybrate-user, I hope you're doing good. You can drink beer to gain weight but remember the key to gain healthy weight is to get in calorie surplus by eating adequate amount of food. Beer contains Maltodextrin, Barley, water, hops and yeast. There's nothing wrong to drink it but excess of everything can be very dangerous. Moderation is fine. Look out for good real solid food to gain muscle mass rather than just weight. Improve your body composition by eating more protein, adequate carbs and fats. Hi, if the food you eat is not properly digested and absorbed then how can you gain weight. Nothing will work if this is not proper. Take *alfa malt forte (medisynth) 1tablespoon to be taken twice a day during meals for 1mth *take grd powder 1tablespoon in 1 cup of milk, drink once a day.

Firstly you try to improve your appetite, by routine exercise. Eat food that contains more protein like milk, milk products, fish, eggs, cereals etc. Avoid fatty and oily food. Avoid night watching. Sleep on time.

Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fruits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

Hello, to be fit you need to take enough, protein, vitamins minerals, fiber, and good fatty acids in your diet, so eat all type of food, from where you get these nutrition. Do some physical activities every day for 1 hour. Drink more water in a day. Have a adequate rest to get better health.

Your weight seems to be the problem. Knee cracking indicates some form of meniscus damage. A further diagnosis cannot be made confidently without a detailed examination. In either case, please avoid twisting the knee & climbing stairs until you are diagnosed. Regards.

There is no special diet for a person with diabetes, but certain restrictions should be followed. Like avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, white bread, other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks and high fat milk products. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits about 100 g a day. Food should include complex carbohydrates, so that sugar rise is slow. Total caloric intake has to be based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood sugar levles. On treatment you should strive to maintain fastinf around 100 mg, pp150 to 160 mg and hba1c% 6.8. That will keep you healthy and fit plus serious complications of diabetes will be kept away. Thanks.

Hi, do regular exercise. Take whey protein one spoon after workout. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet. If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your diet,(thrice a week). No drink before meals. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals.

Dear, You can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow The diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * In morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * In lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * In evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * In night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. dear sudheer if you really need to become healthy again then you must avoid drinking smoking and other habit you got. take food rich in vitamin and calcium. supplements like B12 syrup polybion can be taken to increase stamina.
