Avoid fried food, do yoga, drink more and more water and take one medicine that is" kuka" and feel free to call us or visit our clinic. Good day.

My mother was having spondylitis on her spine since 2009 and it was cured by 2012 after taking the medicines. But again in 2015 she felt the pain and we took her to the orthopaedic. But this time she did not recover. And after spending few month being suggested by the orthopaedic we took her to the neurologist. .and he ran few tests including MRI Scan .and said that there is some minor issues. And prescribed two drugs named steriocort and Oslol tr 40. Which she took for 37 days. But on 38th day she started to feel very weak. Her appetite was very less. vomited 3 times. Always felt drowsy. .urination got hampered .could not pass stool. And felt very uneasy. And eventually on 44th day situation got worse and we eventually admitted her in a hospital under a neuro surgeon. And her situation got worse as she could not walk now properly. Then the concerned doctor asked to stop the medicine immediately and asked for few more tests. But on next to next day he said there is no neurological problems and referred to a general physician. .then we got one founding that her sodium level was 114 when we took her first time to the neurologist 46 days back. And the doctor also said that haemoglobin level is very low I. E.8.6, and platelet count was very less at 66000. Then the doctor also said that she is having cough in her chest. And she started her treatment. .and we found that patient was recovering. After admission she was not talking. Always kept her eyes closed. But on 2nd day we saw that she was opening her eyes. And also started communication with others. And she started taking normal foods. But on 3rd day we found her totally different. .as if she is having some mental disorder. .her hands were moving in some wayward directions. Speech was not in order. Keeping her eyes always closed. Could not walk. Taking food was also stopped. Seeing that we consulted with the concerned doctor and she said that she is OK. .and there is no problem as such. This is not a very sounding problem. After taking to home she could get better. But today is the second day. Her situation is getting worsening. .As psychiatric patient. Please suggest what to do? As we are confused.

Air Pollution and its Effects on Children's Lungs

MD PULMONARY, DTCD

Air pollution is known to take a toll on the lungs of even the healthiest adults. So it comes as no surprise that the effects of this pollution on the lungs of children is deemed as a grave situation, full of health hazards including the onset of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders and conditions like asthma. Read on to find out more about the link between air pollution and its effect on the lungs of children.

Children's lungs: mostly, all the organs of a child's body are considered delicate and not fully matured until the child reaches a certain age. The main and largest part of the child's lungs will usually grow only after the child has been born, much like the arms and legs. In fact, it is a medically proven fact that about 80% of the tiniest of air sacs grow after the child's birth. These are called the alveoli and they facilitate the transfer of the oxygen into the blood stream with a life sustaining function that is built into our lungs. These alveoli continue to grow until the child becomes an adult.

Immunity and infections: like the lungs of the child, the immunity of the child is also still in its growth phase, and very much unlike the immunity that an adult enjoys. This makes the child more susceptible to infections that are usually carried by air pollution in today's day and age of urban living when myriad pollutants are sent into the air every single day. Also, since children play outdoors more often and spend more time breathing in this air, they are more prone to these infections and lung or respiratory ailments due to this reason. Various studies and tests have shown inflammation in the respiratory passages caused by deposits of carbon dioxide emissions in the lungs of children.

Symptoms: usually, the very first symptoms that show that air pollution is affecting the child's lungs can be seen when persistent coughing and wheezing sets in, without any proper reason. Also, when the child faces bronchial infections time and time again, then this points at the hazardous effects of air pollution as well.

Respiratory problems: apart from respiratory problem, which can lead to asthmatic attacks, hay fever and allergies as well as other copd ailments, there are other related dangers. These can happen when constant choking and obstruction of oxygen due to pollution become a regular affair. These include strokes and brain damage which can eventually also lead to a higher risk of dementia.

The government and citizens need to ensure that there is a drop in particle air pollution so as to ensure that children do not fall prey to such health problems.

Hello sir, I have a sinus problem due to which I am not able to breathe properly what can I do sir?

Do you have pain on cheek bones on pressing it? hot fomentation is really helpful in sinus besides drink fluids, such as water or juice. This will help dilute mucous secretions and promote drainage. Avoid beverages that contain caffeine or alcohol, as they can be dehydrating. Drinking alcohol can also worsen the swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose. Moisturize your sinus cavities. Drape a towel over your head as you breathe in the vapor from a bowl of medium-hot water. Keep the vapor directed toward your face. Or take a hot shower, breathing in the warm, moist air. This will help ease pain and help mucus drain. Apply warm compresses to your face. Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain. Rinse out your nasal passages. Use a specially designed squeeze bottle (sinus rinse, others), saline canister or neti pot to rinse your nasal passages. This home remedy, called nasal lavage, can help clear your sinuses. If you make your own rinse, use water that's contaminant-free distilled, sterile, previously boiled and cooled, or filtered using a filter with an absolute pore size of 1 micron or smaller to make up the irrigation solution. Also be sure to rinse the irrigation device after each use with contaminant-free water, and leave open to air-dry. Sleep with your head elevated. This will help your sinuses drain, reducing congestion. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Hi doctor. My mother is suffering from 15 days from cold. But that cold is not as much as she is coughing. She is coughing a lot. Very heavily. I am afraid. Is this common or symptom of some other disease. Cold is very less. But she is coughing a lot. Please suggest me something. Is everything normal?

Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.
