For sinus and nose problems, try taking steam inhalation for 3 times a day. If problem is not solved in 2-3 days, you may need additional medicines. Also, if you are a smoker, you need to quit smoking.

Have copd. While no specific medicines have been prescribed except an inhaler (one dose daily), I am attending yoga classes to improve respiratory system. Since I often suffer from blocked and stuffed nose, and bloating due to gas, I have to make more effort at breathing deeply. At times I feel a twitch in my ribcage bone. Is it because of the strain. Or should I go easy on breathing exercise.

COPD is a bad disease to have and it does affect the body in various ways. As far as the blocked nose, I think you have allergic rhinitis and you need to be put on a spray for the same. It will help the block and congestion of the nose. For bloating start a tablet called Pan-D daily before breakfast for 3 weeks.
