I am not able to judge myself what I am going through. I can't stop thoughts racing all over in my mind specially for my life. I become optimism as well as pessimism at the same time. I usually tend to behave in front of everyone like everything is ok but unfortunately whenever I stay alone I can't stop crying pathetically and even sometimes laugh at the jokes on which no one even gives reaction and again I am the only one who become like a foolish person ever. I become so much talkative and want to discuss on any topic with anyone to stay out of stress but no one is able to get awkward behaviour. I had sleepless nights from last three years but 2016 was worst of all. Effects on my health are ridiculous. I don't know how but whenever I got anxiety attacks I guess or whenever I cried a lot feeling lost and without any hope I suffered from constipation a lot. I start drinking excessive of water or eating a lot whenever facing any kind of fear. This year due to constipation and my other health effects like feeling tired always or oversleeping the attendance also became very less. Even I have a very bad habit of biting skin at the side of the nails while thinking curiously about some or the other thing or being nervous at most of the times and specially whenever I study. I want to get rid of all this nonsense. Cannot lead my life like this further anymore.

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. I think there is an underlying current of mood instability. This could be seen in a variety of conditions including personality styles like borderline personality and in more severe forms, in bipolar disorders. It seems that your problems are mostly in the personality domain but it is very difficult to make an accurate statement without seeing you. I suggest that you should meet a psychiatrist at the earliest and get a proper evaluation done so that the problem can be sorted out. Do not worry! People have much worser problems than this and get better. I am quite confident that with appropriate help you will get better. Take care!

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. This pain in rib cage can be a reflection of your bronchitis condition. Your shoulder pain can be due to degeneration setting in joint. You can start with: 1) physical therapy for shoulder in presence of a good physiotherapist initially 2) you can take short course of anti-inflammatory medications as per your suitability 3) ice packs for 4-5 days ( 10-15 min every 2-3 hours) if it does not help, then please let me know and we might get some x rays done for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena

I have a hair fall problem during last few months. What should I do for this problem I am facing?

I have a hair fall problem during last few months. What should I do for this problem I am facing?
Silica - this mineral, the most abundant on earth, strengthens collagen which is what supports the hair matrix and accelerates hair growth. Silica is high in fibrous foods which include dark green leafy vegetables. Also beneficial are tomatoes, figs, grapes, apples, berries, onions, and flax seeds. Very high on the list is the skin of cucumbers. Unfortunately, we tend to peel cucumbers for fear of the pesticides that may be on them. Bean sprouts, red peppers, and green peppers are also high on the list.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you wherever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

How to prevent kidney stone and what to do if somebody suffering from this problem?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
How to prevent kidney stone and what to do if somebody suffering from this problem?
Hi, prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes you may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. 1 eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, restrict foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, bhindi (okra), spinach, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine - berberis vulgaris q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Revert me back.

I am 26 years old and snore while sleeping and main problem is snoring sound which is very high as per feedback of my family. I was feel very sleepy even though I take 8-9 hrs sleep but sleep late and wakeup late. Please need your advice to cope with snoring and sleep as am not able to concentrate on my studies.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Bangalore
Hi, Please follow these tips to stop snoring: - Reduce your weight if you are obese. - Perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - Quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - Quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - Sleep on sides instead on back. - Elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - Clear the nose before going to bed. - Establish regular sleep pattern. - Keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - Perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - Anti snoring appliances can also be used.

Posterior bulging of L4-L5 disc is seen with annular tear indenting thecal sac. epiphyseal joints and para-spinal muscles are unremarkable. Lower dorsal cord and conus appear normal. No evidence of intraspinal mass. AP DIAMETERS: D12-L1 - 17 MM. L1-L2 - 17MM. L2-L3 - 16MM. L3-L4 - 15MM. L4-L5 - 12MM. L5-S1 - 13MM Coronal fat suppressed images through both S. Hello dear there is no permanent treatment for it but injection or surgery gave long time effect in this. If you have sevear pain then go for these. If it is not too sevear then you have to consult with a good physiotherapists and take treatment of lumbar traction and ift or swd if give good relief. Even you go for blood test of vitamin b12 and vitamin d3 if there is deficiency then take supplement for it. Do regular exercise programme suggested by your physiotherapy doctor. It will subside for long time may be life long you don't get this pain. But firstly you have to take rest hot fermentation and continue with medicine. Thanks and regards.
