Sneezing and running nose may be due to some agent like dust, fumes, chemicals, smoke, pollens, mosquito coil etc. You have to find the cause and take preventive measures to the extent possible. A deformity in nose may also cause these problems. See ENT specialist for advice.

Hi Lybrate-user, It will not get worse if she takes adequate treatment. If the doctor has diagnosed cough variant asthma he/she would have put her on inhalers too. Take them regularly even when she is asymptomatic. She will recover with regular treatment and check ups.

Removing asthma permanantly is not possible but you should get relief from it for a long time by taking some precautions like avoid such atmosphere which make you asthmatic. Means avoid all triggers which is responsible for your ashtma along with proper medications.

Avoid allergen exposure on which your IgE may go/down. For asthma control use asthma controller medicine by inhalation with spacer. Or consult a pulmonologist.

Hello Sir/Madam ,I am 51 years old Asthma patient. I use Asthalin inhaler three times a day continuously for past 30 years. Is it harmful to use Asthalin regularly? Will it be less effective for me at the time of acute asthma attacks due to continuous use of it?

Hello Sir/Madam ,I am 51 years old Asthma patient. I use Asthalin inhaler three times a day continuously for past 30 ...
Hi Mr. lybrate-user, There are two aspects of treating asthma. One is relieving an attack. Second is preventing further attack. Asthalin is only to relieve an attack. It does not prevent asthma from worsening. Hence if you are requiring asthma three times daily you may need inhalers with extracontroller. Yet using asthalin Does not cause major side effects. Yes. Using it this frequently can cause it to be less effective. I hope I answered your queries.

Sir, way back in the year 2011 I am not sure about whether I was either bitten or got a scratch by a dog but I am pretty sure that there was no flow of any blood. At that time I ignored as there was no blood and even I couldnt find any scratch. Now I am bit reluctant about it. Can I take vaccine now as there is not even a single symptom of rabbies after almost 6 years of the incident.

Hello! Rabies infection is caused by rabies virus, transmitted by bite of a rabid dog. The incubation period of this infection is usually 1 to 3 months. WHO (world health organization) says it can range from 1 week to 1 year. Since 6 years have passed since the incident, you don't have to worry about possibility of infection and vaccination now. Moreover from what you said, it looks like you had a Class 1 bite. Meaning, mildest form of dog bite. Hope this has helped you:-)
