You should avoid excessive medications. Here are some home remedies to cure acidity. - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead. - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday. - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity. - Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity. - Drink a glass of milk - everyday. - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you hit the sack. - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals. - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc. - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.

Doctor, I think I have external piles? I don't feel much pain, but having a lump around anus and it doesn't go inside when pushed wither finger. It stays outside always. I have to strain every morning and lot of pressure I feel at anal area. Sometimes which is mostannoying and causing discomfort? if I eat banana the previous night, it goes freely in morning. What sort of medicines should I take or any natural remedy to cure it. How long I have to wait for the relief from lump type thing in anus. I'm 25 yrs old. I tend to do exercises in morning. Still I have the problem.

Dear try the remedies and continue eating banana at night daily. Constipation should be avoided anyhow. HOME REMEDIES TO CURE PILES:: 1.Apply sesame oil on external dry piles followed by warm fomentation (warm moist compresses or sitting in warm water). The easiest method is to sit in a tub with the buttocks submerged in warm water. 2.Eat 4 figs twice a day, in the morning and evening. Saturate 4 figs in water for the whole night; eat these in the morning. Remember not to drink water prior to eating the figs. Saturate another 4 figs in the morning to be eaten in the evening. Do this every day for 4 weeks. 3. Take 1 tsf triphala churna at night daily with luke warm water. 4. Revert me back.

My mother is 52 years old. Four months back she diagnosed with obstructive jaundice. We got her to hospital and doctors placed PTBD. Lots of fluid was coming. But now there is no fluid coming from it. Apart from this she is getting fever with shivering every third or fourth day. We had some tests HIDA scan and PET scan in starting of the treatment. They all are negative. But she not getting any better and have loss weight and appetite. Doctors now stopped discussing about obstructive jaundice and saying her liver got infected upto 60% they are not giving any clear picture what the real condition is. Please if anyone here can tell if my mother can cure or not? Waiting for the answer.

Obstructive jaundice itself is a very sinister condition. Post PTBD fever & low output suggests infection (cholangitis/cholangiolar abscess) and blockage of the drains. This carries extreme risks to life. Am sure the patient must be in ICU, on advanced antibiotics and there must be some drowsiness and urine issues as well. I believe you must sit with the entire treating team and discuss things. Best luck.

Hi lybrate-user, Gallstones if asymptomatic do not require cholecystectomy always. If you have pain or complications, diabetes or a job where sudden pain attack can endanger your or others life (eg. If you are a pilot) then cholecystectomy is advised. Also, multiple stones increase risk of complications from gall stones. I hope this was helpful.
