What is the reasons behind dengue and why it spreading. What are the symptoms of dengue and malaria.

MPTh/MPT, MSC CVR, MANUAL THERAPIST
Physiotherapist,
Women's Health & Continence

Women's Health and Continence Physiotherapists specialize in the function of the pelvic floor - a sling of muscles between the legs.
The Pelvic floor reaches from side to side across the floor of the pelvis and is attached to the pubic bone in front, and to the coccyx (the tail end of the spine) behind. It forms our undercarriage and serves to hold our pelvic and abdominal contents up and in.

The pelvic floor can be weakened during pregnancy, childbirth and with aging. Whilst we all have a pelvic floor the majority of problems occur in women with the most common problem being incontinence. Nevertheless men suffering from incontinence (usually post-prostatectomy) and even erectile dysfunction can be helped by physiotherapists who specialise in the pelvic floor.

The openings from the bladder (urethra), bowels (rectum) and womb (vagina) all pass through the pelvic floor, so it is easy to understand how a problem in this area can lead to a range of debilitating conditions such as
Stress and urge incontinence
Pelvic organ prolapse (bladder, uterus or bowel)
Pelvic pain syndromes (vulvodynia, vestibulitis, vaginismus)
Bowel disorders (irritable bowel, constipation)

Women's Health and Continence Physiotherapist (Dr Komal Kakkar) can assess these problems and advise on the correct exercises to improve your condition

Red Flag Questions
If you answer yes to any of the questions below please call now for an assessment.
Do you lose any urine when you cough, sneeze or run?
Does your bladder become urgent?
Did you experience any back pain during pregnancy?
Do you have any separation of your stomach muscles?
Post-birth, did your doctor find any prolapse?
Did you have a difficult delivery?
Are you concerned you may have a prolapse?
Have you had any pelvic or spinal surgery?
Do you have any concerns with your bowel control?
Do you regularly strain to use your bowels?
Did menopause make your bladder concerns more marked?
Are you unsure about how to contract your pelvic floor muscles correctly?
Pelvic Floor Fitness Test
In just 30 minutes our Women's Health & Continence Physiotherapists can assess your pelvic floor. This non-invasive screening test could change your world.

Non-Invasive Examination
Physical or visual examination of the pelvic floor is not always required. The function of the pelvic floor can often be satisfactorily assessed by real time ultrasound, allowing both the therapist and patient to see its function, during assessment and as a biofeedback tool during retraining.

Hi, dandruff can only be controlled but not eliminated. The smell is odour of oils secreted from scalp. Just like there is odour of sweat there is odour of oils too. So for body hair you have deo sprays. Similarly hair sprays are available for hair.

Doctor, I am a degree final year student. I have memory problems. I can not remember what I studied at the exams. What will be a solution?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You are tense and stressed for sure and this makes remembering a problem. Meet with a counselor and deal with that situation for better memory. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid junk food.

My hairs are falling day by day so much may I know the reason why it was happening my age is 24 years.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
My hairs are falling day by day so much may I know the reason why it was happening my age is 24 years.
Hi. Let me tell you about hairfall. In layman's language, hairfall can be divided into 2 types - temporary hairfall and permanent (which is called as 'Hairloss' rather). In temporary hairfall, hair grows back again from the same hair root, but in case of permanent hairloss, may be because of formation of DHT (Di- Hydro -Testosterone) around hair root it gets choked up, subsequently affects the blood supply to the hair and thus hair root is lost forever. (There are different pattern and types of hairloss, because of different reasons like Alopecia Areata, Telogen Effluvium, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia, etc.) Causes of hairloss: Many factors are responsible formation of this DHT or male/ female pattern baldness - hereditary, post-illness/ ailment, post-delivery, post- chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, insufficient sleep, sudden loss of weight, stress/ tensions/ excessive anger, use of bore water, any other underlying diseases, etc. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. (N.B.: With the help of homoeopathic medicines, we can only prevent further progress of the hairloss, means it will get arrests in the present condition in case of progressive baldness. But, in case there are areas of baldness which has gone smooth and shiny, you will have to choose an option of Hair Transplant along with theses medications!). Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

Dear Actually I want to increase my penis by 2 or 3 inch what I have to do please suggest me pills.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Dear
Actually I want to increase my penis by 2 or 3 inch what I have to do please suggest me pills.
The average size of the erect/aroused penis ranges from 3.2 inches to 6.5 inches, but even lower sizes don't make a difference to the ability to have sex, please one's partner or have children. The aroused female vagina only extends between 3 to 4 inches, and even here, the most sensitive parts are towards the outside. Girth is a little more important, but most important is how you use it. So please focus on the person you are with and make sure your partner enjoys the experience - there is really nothing more important than that in sex. Anyone who tells you that size is important doesn't really know what he is talking about. The only way to increase penis size or girth (thickness) is through surgery, but this is painful and risky. None of the medicines marketed to increase penis size work and they are a waste of money.

Hi, i used to have very long hair, hair fall started for me very badly after marriage as i changed the state and also as i am staying in an appartment we get water from different areas. Can i know what remedys can i do to reduce hair fall

Vaidya Visharad
Sexologist, Narnaul
Hello Dear,According to Ayurveda, hair is a byproduct of bone formation. The factors responsible for building bones are also responsible for the hair re-growth. Ayurveda doctors believe that early hair loss is related to body type and the balance of the mind-body constitution (doshas). Excess pitta in the sebaceous gland, at the root of the hair, or folliculitis can make the person start losing hair. We loose hair after a certain growth and new hair replaces the older one, which means recycling of hair. Hair loss means losing more hair than you naturally lose. As our hair grows under a natural process, so we can take care of growth only by natural resources and methods. Visit us at www.Malhotraayurveda.Com
