Thick white discharge is nothing but cervical mucus which is expelled first in the process of delivery. This means that any time your labor will start.

My friend had tried sex with her boyfriend but they cannot make it. Her boyfriend tried 4-5 times to enter but as he try, she started having pain. One more time they tried without putting on but again the same problem. He ejaculate outside after 10-15 minutes. My question is there stand a chance of her getting pregnant? After all this, when goes to pee and there was blood coming out. Please suggest something.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine, Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery
Gynaecologist, Pune
Blood can be because of ruptured hymen. If he has ejaculated outside her then there are no chances of pregnancy. Anyways still you can wait till she gets her periods, if she misses one then y ou can get a urine pregnancy test done. That would remove all doubts.

Red Meat Vs. White Meat - What's Better For You?

Red Meat Vs. White Meat - What's Better For You?

Red meat vs. White meat - what's better for you?

Meat forms an essential part of the daily diet of many people. But it often gets difficult to choose between white meat (chicken or fish) and red meat (beef or pork or mutton) due to the numerous health benefits offered by both. Moreover, both kinds of meat have some health risks as well, which should be kept in mind while consuming either of them.

Read on to find how each type of meat may affect your health, and, which will be more beneficial for your body.

Fat content

People who are more conscious about their weight often tend to choose white meat over red meat because of its lower fat content. For example, fat content in chicken is only about 11%, whereas pork contains about 45% fat. Moreover, the saturated fat content of red meat is about 2.64 times that of white meat.

Protein content

100 gm of chicken breast has about 29.80 gm of protein, whereas the same amount of lamb and pork contain 22.51 gm and 27.55 gm protein respectively. In this case, consumption of white meat will prove to be beneficial as your body can absorb only 74% of the protein in red meat and 80% of the protein in white meat.

Other nutrient content

Red meat is rich in niacin, vitamin b12, riboflavin and thiamine, iron and minerals like zinc and phosphorus. While vitamin b12 aids proper nerve health and ensures that the red blood cells function properly, zinc is responsible for strengthening your immune system.

White meat contains fewer nutrients in comparison to red meat. However, fish contains high amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which help in improving lipid profiles and prevent cardiovascular diseases.

Health risks

Consumption of both types of meat has been long associated with increased risk of different diseases. The presence of myoglobin, a type of protein in red meat, is responsible for increasing the risk of certain types of cancer. Also, red meat has been often linked with increased chances of hypertension and heart diseases.

These days, feeding antibiotics to chicken for enlarging their size has become a common practise. So, consumption of this type of meat increases the amount of drug-resistant bacteria in your body and reduces the effect of useful drugs too.

White meat and red meat both have their own health benefits and risks, so including small amounts of both in your diet will prove to be beneficial for your body. Determine the amount of each type of meat you will consume depending on your body's specific requirements.

If this has happened for the first time, then there is no need to worry and no need for any medicines also. Sometimes because of hormonal changes or stress or weight gain such things happen. If this is recurring again and again then you should get ultrasound with hormonal tests and then 3 months course of medicines will help you get beck to normal menstrual flow.

Most likely you were expecting periods between 2 - 6 jan. But around the same time urine shows blood. Use a pad to see if it is period or not. Urine test of pregnancy can be done after 12 jan is period is still delayed.

Hi after how many days from a period one should have sex for getting pregnant and till how many days should one have.
Hello, It depends on your length of your menstrual cycles. With regular periods, it is generally considered from Day 10 to Day 20 of periods. This is called the fertile period. You must have intercourse atleast every alternate day.

Hello, to control excessive menses you can opt for antifibrinolytics to control your bleeding as post depot injection bleeding is likely to be heavy and its a side effect.

If it is one off it may be related to stress /anxiety occasionally ; hence see what happens over the next 2-3 months. However if you are sexually active then I would advice you to do a urine pregnancy test.

Can I experience PMS and still be pregnant. Is pregnancy possible? I have been experiencing lower back and leg pain.
Hello, Both PMS and early pregnancy symptoms are more or less similar and overlap. So the best way to rule out pregnancy in such cases is to opt for a serum beta hcg test and if the hcg levels are more than 5ng/dl then you are pregnant.

First of all lots of foreplay. Once engaging in intercourse and you feel as if you are going ejaculate, just stop! obvisouly not stopping as if you seen a ghost, but just stop and pay some attention to your partner e.g.Kissing" if you do this ussually 3 or more times during intercourse there will be at some point an overwhelming feeling as if you can not hold back no more, but the good news is= its like you re using a natural viagra because you can run straight through to a second one, without feeling the need to stop. Masturbation is a good way to tame this. Good luck.

U can feel baby movements around 16 weeks pregnancy. It varies from patient to patient. Yes, if the cervix is short, you might need to get a cervical encirclage. This will ensure that you do not have a miscarriage. Please get a good ultrasound report to ensure that you have a short or dilated cervix.
