Dear Doctor, I am 64 years old male. For the last 10 Days, I am having loose motions, gastric problem and slight stomach ache. I have consulted a Physician (MD-General Medicine). As per his advice I have done Stool Examination for which shows the following results. Test Results: Gross Examination: Brown semi formed Stool with no mucus no frank blood seen Pus cells: Nil R.B.Cells: Nil Parasites-Ova/Cyst: Nil Macrophages: Nil Others: Food Debris present Occult Blood (Stool): Negative He prescribed me following medicines and taking the same for the last 8 days and continuing the same, as per his advice ,for another 2 days. He said after completing the 10 days treatment, if the problem continues suggested to meet a Gastroenterologist and go for a Colonoscopy. Is there any other alternative test for Colonoscopy, as I am scared to do that. What is the purpose of doing Colonoscopy? Kindly advice me future course of action, and the implications. Following are the Medicines which I am taking now: (1) Tablet Orni-O 1/2 -0 -1/2 (2) Capsule Pan-D 1- 0 -1 (before food) (3) Capsule Nutrolin B Plus 1-0-1 Expecting your reply Immediately. Thanking You, Ramakrishnan K.

Homeopath,
Some cases of diarrhea are chronic more than mnth condition lasts on and off then throughout a patient’s life and may need more diligent medical attention like colonoscopy to screen for chronic conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Other cases of acute diarrhea only last a couple of days week and usually symptoms go away on their own. If you experience diarrhea for more than a few days, it important diarrhea often leads to dehydration because a significant amount of water and important chemicals called electrolytes is lost when patients frequently pass loose stool. Leaving dehydration unattended can lead to more serious health issues such as damage to the organs, bodily shock While most patients who are experiencing diarrhea are able to keep up with their fluids losses by oral ingestion, occasionally intravenous fluids will be needed – especially if the diarrhea persists with vomiting. Diarrhea patients who also have a high fever, blood in the stool or excessively dark-colored stool should contact a medical provider immediately. AS your Causes of Diarrhea is not known as per your case you may need colonoscopy only if you have diarrhea gastro complaint since mnth or years you can do MRI OR CTSCAN ABDOMEN BARIUM MEAL WITH PROCTOSCOPY ITS EQUAL TO COLONO OR SIGMOID SCOPY Chronic diarrhea life time mnth is usually a sign of underlying chronic conditions such as Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis, which occur when there is severe inflammation in a patient’s colon tissue. Acute diarrhea, is triggered by more common conditions, such as a virus or bacterium. It usually does not have to be diagnosed if it only lasts a couple of days. Have you done FBC: anaemia or raised platelet count suggesting inflammation. LFTs, including albumin level. Calcium, vitamin B12 and red blood cell folate, iron studies (ferritin). ESR and CRP: elevated levels may indicate inflammatory bowel disease. Stool for culture examination for ova, cysts and parasites: if an infectious cause is suspected or there is a history of travel to high-risk areas. Consider sending stool for testing for Clostridium difficile if a previous episode has resolved and the symptoms have recurred. HOMEOPATHY HEAL PATEINT qFROM INSIDE DAIROHEA IS ONLY A PHASE SHOW OF INNER DISEASE SUPPRESING IT KILLING ORGANISM WILL ONLY HIDDEN THE INNER DISORDER WHICH WILL. ALWAYS BE VUNERABLE TO NEXT ATTACK.

Hello- penis and scrotal skin is generally moisturized by the sebaceous and sweat glands in the skin. Any changes in these gland can lead to wound like patches. Apply ayurvedic oil instead of boroplus to treat your problem.

pain is complex, so there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. There is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medications. Being also a general physician, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary tips taking into account patient preferences.

Heart Attack Or Panic Attack - How To Know The Difference?

DM Cardiology

Heart Attack Or Panic Attack - How To Know The Difference?

You feel your heart begin to beat wildly in your chest as you break into a cold sweat and have trouble catching your breath; is this a heart attack or panic attack? Your first thought is that it's a heart attack since you have an impending feeling of doom which you may even have felt before your attack began. This makes your heart beat even faster and you become so overwhelmed that the feeling gets even worse until you begin to feel light-headed or maybe even pass out. This is a panic attack.

When you suffer from anxiety, the slightest thing can trigger a panic attack and some can be so intense that you can't imagine it being anything other than looming death. It's very common for those having an anxiety attack to mistake it for a heart attack and this fear is enough to just take over and really wreak havoc on your heart rate, but no matter how fast your heart beats or how panicked you feel; you are not having a heart attack and this episode will not kill you.

One thing that will prove helpful in dealing with this is learning the differences between the two:

Signs of a Heart Attack:

  1. Pressure in the Chest (described as feeling like there is an elephant sitting on your chest).

  2. Chest pain - note that this is not always present.

  3. Sweating.

  4. Shortness of breath.

  5. Pain in the right arm.

  6. Pain in the back or shoulder blades for women.

  7. Nausea or vomiting.

Panic attack symptoms include:

  1. Increased heart rate.

  2. Sharp or stabbing chest pain that lasts only 5 to 10 seconds.

  3. Pain that is localized to one small area.

  4. Pain that usually occurs at rest.

  5. Pain that accompanies anxiety.

  6. Pain that is relieved or worsened when you change positions.

  7. Pain that can be reproduced or worsened by pressing over the area of pain.

The bottom line: Be vigilant and get checked out promptly.

I have a problem of uric acid from several years. Can I got a permanent solution of this.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity, psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain, oats, green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.
