This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression. Cervical spondylosis – chronic condition with radiating pain As your rightly said you have to go for traction and also you can do IFT. Please consult the near by therapist for quick relief. Since you have pain for more than 10 years it is suggestible to go for cervical muscle strengthening exercise. Use collar will definitely be helpful for him to maintain the good posture. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm. Back Pain . Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching. Neck Advice Hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck Exercises. Neck Stretching. Postural Correction. Shoulder Shrugs . Core Strengthening Exercises. Take frequent Breaks at work Use cervical pillow. Use Back Support. Self Massage the back of neck.

Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am 45 years old male. Recently I found out that I had severe body been out of joint pain and checked for my your guess it It was around 8. 5. No control the whole thing down to 7. From now on what is the best prescribed diet? also what are the things which should take more to reduce the uric levels?

Dear , you have symptomatic gout with high uric acid levels. You need to take medicines to lower it. You need to avoid all types of non-veg items. Avoid soyabean, gram (chola) and tomato. Cut down on pulses (especially masur dal). You can milk and milk products. Stop smoking and alcohol.

I am 72 years old. I am having pain around waist, neck. I am located at chennai and retired. Kindly advise me as to what I should do and whom I can contact. I cannot afford high cost for treatment.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I have severe joint pain and I am already under medication but can you please tell me some remedies for pain reductions.
Medicines will help you to get relief from the pain temporarily. In the long run you need to do therapeutic exercises for the particular joint to maintain mobility. Also you need to reduce weight so that joint is not overloaded and avoid pain. Go for the right approach to loose weight, follow a healthy balanced diet, and do exercises suitable for your body type (avoid aerobics, zumba, high intensity cardio) initially, once you loose 15-20 kgs weight, then you can go for zumba or aerobics. To start with do power yoga, strength training, cardio etc. But not to forget diet plays a major role in loosing weight!

Danish , u r a proffedtional player ,dont neglect knee injury . U need clinicoradilogical evaluation on ur knee joint by expert arthroscopic knee surgron . Follow as per advices. My opinio , u might have ligmentous injury in ur knee . It requires attention . Mri / diagnostic arthroscopy will guide the disgnosis.meanwhile avoid sports for a while and wear knee brace and non weightbearing . Tq

Dear as you mentioned that pain increases in the morning. You have work stress you need to check your sitting posture sit in correct way adjust your chair and monitor screen -do hot fermentation 3 times in a day duration-20 min -do stretches 2 min proper along hold and relax do it for two days then I will tell you further program take care.
