Had an unprotected sex with my bf before my period on 11 sep 2016. But he ejaculated sperms outside the vagina during sex. And I am scared so I started eating papayas from the next day. And I got my period on 16th sep which was late by 2 days. Is there a chance of getting pregnant even.

Hey. If you feel your throat is getting dry frequently, then try to drink plenty of water everyday. Sip small amounts of water through out the day. If at all you have any throat irritation or itchiness, then you can try doing warm salt water gargles. You can drink plenty of water/fruit juices or hot fluids like tea/ coffee/ soups, to get some relief. Take care.)

Dear Lybrate User, Cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take Homoeopathic Mother Tincture FUCUS VESICULOSUS Q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water

Thanks for the query. At this age having high blood pressure needs to be taken seriously. It's good that you have started to think of taking care of your health. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice,  half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Weigh yourself weekly and record your weight. Adjust your diet and physical activity according to the progress you’re making.

With the onset of monsoons, there is an increase in number of mosquitoes which can cause malaria and which may get fatal in some cases but if detected early we can cure it completely. It is always advisable to take the right precautions so that one doesn't fall sick later.

Note the following points to avoid malaria.

1) if you are pregnant or with a child, avoid going to mosquito-prone areas.
2) ensure that there is no stagnation of water for more than seven days because these are breeding grounds of mosquitoes. Change the stored water every seventh day and see to it -- in any area - be it your building premises or nearby locality make the water flow down the drain
3) wear clothes that are full sleeved and cover your legs. If children are going out to play, ensure that they are well covered and safe from mosquito bite.
4) ensure that you are sleeping under a mosquito net if there are mosquitoes around you
5) make sure you close the doors and windows of your house before sunset as this is the time when the mosquitoes enter the houses.
6) do not neglect if you see any symptoms of malaria; you should see a doctor immediately. The symptoms include fever& shivering, vomitting, headaches, weakness.
7) chances of getting bitten by malaria causing mosquitoes is high between dusk and dawn so be careful when you are going out at this time.

Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defences against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures. Also, the body's defence mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatments like: -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children/ adolescents or during a viral illness. -Wear loose fitting clothes and don’t overdress. Overdressing can cause temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause severe dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami, Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially after returning from public places or public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

If you thought that fame and money are enough to keep a human being happy and healthy, then you could not be more mistaken. Mental and physical ailments can affect anyone at any time. Celebrities in particular are even more prone to mental disorders with their stressful lives that are centred around topping their past success with even more success, and filling their bank accounts with even more money.
So let us cast a glance on the bollywood or indian movie industry stars who have suffered from mental disorders:

1. Shah rukh khan: after his shoulder surgery, shah rukh khan went through a bout of severe and debilitating depression. This surgery had to take place due to an injury sustained on set during the year 2008. Depression and anxiety are known to affect people who have been going through chronic physical ailments and are forced to give up an overactive lifestyle. When this jet setting superstar was confined to bed, he fell into a state of despair and hopelessness. With the help of therapy and positive thinking, he was able to get back on his feet again and portray his charismatic persona on screen.

2. Deepika padukone: the dimpled actress recently came out in the open about her recent brush with depression and anxiety when she was busy promoting her blockbuster movies. She ended up going for therapy and taking control of the problem before it took control of her life. Once she had recovered from the overwhelming phase with proper therapy, she began to support mental health care causes so that more people would become aware and learn to take the necessary steps once they recognised the symptoms.

3. Parveen babi: she was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time who was also featured on the time magazine cover - a huge feat for an indian celebrity at that point! shortly after being diagnosed with depression and paranoid schizophrenia, she moved to usa. Overwhelmed with chronic depression and debilitating schizophrenia, she ended her life with suicide at her apartment in mumbai.

4. Sanjay dutt: he may have played and aced the role of doctor munna bhai on screen, but this actor suffered from insomnia and depression during his prison stay. The untimely demise of his mother and legal hassles followed by marital problems led to this state until he took the initiative to recover and get back to a normal way of living.

5. Manisha koirala: this well known actress suffered from acute clinical depression during her short marriage. With therapy and divorce behind her, she has started scripting her new life again.
These celebrities show us that we must take charge and bounce back no matter how profound the problem.

Dear this is mainly due to the dryness of the mouth, this happens when mucus production decreases in the mouth, to regain the vitality of the micus you need to improve iron rich diet on daily basis, avoid carbonated drinks and avoid salty and spicy food, this will harm you further.
