Hello Lybrate user you must take nutritive diet like milk almonds,fruits,juices, raisins, pulses, beans, eggs and nonveg ( if u take). your digestion should be good. do some yoga and exercises. do cycling, swimming, play outdoor games like basket ball, badminton, tennis etc to grow your height.

Hello, I am 24 years old female, I've advice to take sunlight because of low vit d so I started being in sunlight for half an hour at evening 4. After a week I started feeling very weak and feverish but there is no fever in blood test. I am taking vit d tablets also. What may be the reason of weakness?

You might be developed dehydration due to extreme exposure to sunlight. Always drink sufficient quantity of water before &after the sunbath. It is good if you take sunbath in morning.

Eat more often. Drink milk. Try weight gainer shakes. Use bigger plates. Add cream to your coffee. Take creatine. Get quality sleep.

It appears that you are overweight. Take steps by doing regular exercises, gong for a brisk walk. Pl ask somebody to massage your spinal column from neck down upto sacral bone using both hands ie both thumbs on one side other fingers on other side do only from neck and not from sacral to the neck. Yo can also use a wodden roller purchased from a accupressure items shop. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months consult after 10 days.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or local warmth on touching, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of: - intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - gentle anti inflammatory medications like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol for 5-7 days usually helps in such cases - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement - ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain investigations done. Also there are no foods as such which may help to give pain relief although I would suggest calcium rich foods for you to keep bone metabolism healthy.

There is no such medicine which helps to increase weight. I suggest you. Do regular exercise. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean, sattu with milk, eggs, sprouts, milk and milk products, combination of cereals and pulses, take healthy and heavy breakfast. 50 is the correct weight for your height which is around 150 cm. You need not gain more weight. What you can do however is to convert this weight into muscle mass. For that you need to exercise and have good intake of protein like egg whites, pulses, dals etc.
