I HV problem with my breast. No properly shape. How can I improve my breast size.

M.Ch - Plastic Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Indore
To increase your breast size: no medicine can increase breast size. No peels or massage can ever alter size. Breast implant is most effective and common procedure to increase size of breast. In this procedure silicon implant of desisted size is pushed under breast tissue. Procedure is done under anesthesia so there is no question of pain. Patient can go home in 3 to 4hrs. You just need to wear supporting bra for some time and can return to work next day. Externally the look and feel of breast is just like natural young breast. Within few hrs you will regain your confidence and have attractive chest figure. In future pregnancy there is no problem in breast feeding. There is no risk of any major illness or disease associated with this procedure. Implants available in different size.

Calluses And Corns - Causes, Symptoms And Treatment

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Chandigarh
Calluses And Corns - Causes, Symptoms And Treatment

Corns and calluses are areas of stumpy skin caused by friction or pressure. They usually hurt when you wear shoes or walk.

Calluses generally develop on your feet or hands, and most of the time, don’t require treatment.

Corns have a hard or soft inner core. Soft corns are mostly found between the toes, while hard corns form on the top of the toes. Corns that are caused by ill-fitting shoes often reduce on wearing the right shoes.

Causes-

Repeated friction or pressure causes corns and calluses on areas of skin. The pressure leads to the death of the skin, which develops a protective, hard surface. Soft corns develop in a similar fashion. Corns and calluses are not formed due to viruses and are not harmful. They can be formed due to:

  1. Regular usage of any object that puts strain on the hands, such as sports equipment (badminton racquet) or tools (hammer or gardening hoe), usually leads to calluses on the hands.

  2. Pressure from wearing the wrong footwear usually leads to corns and calluses on the feet. Calluses can also form by walking barefoot.

  3. Abnormal structures on the foot, such as hammertoe or bone spurs, can cause calluses and corns.

  4. Repeated pressure from playing certain sports can also cause calluses on the feet.

Symptoms-

Corns and calluses on the feet are easy to spot. A callus is thick, hard and dry, and may appear yellowish or grey in colour. When touched, it will feel bumpy and more insensitive than the skin around it. A hard corn is thick and firm, while soft corns look like an exposed sore. The hard corn may have a grey centre with a light yellow ring around it.

Corns and calluses don’t hurt, but it does become painful when you are wearing shoes or walking. Fitting your feet into shoes gets more difficult due to them. Touching or squeezing the corn or callus can also be painful.

Treatment-

Corns and calluses don’t require treatment normally, but if they hurt, here’s what you can do:

  1. Wearing well-fitting shoes that are roomy with deep and wide toe boxes (the area covering the toe).

  2. Protective paddings, such as moleskin, toe separator, toe sleeves, etc., can alleviate pain.

  3. Soaking the corn or callus in hot water, and then gently wear down the dead skin by using a pumice stone.

  4. Salicylic acid can be used to soften the corn or callus.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

Sir, my age is 23 years (male). I have pain in my facial skin. How I improve it texture and pain?
Start taking naturamore male powder 1 spoon daily in morning and evening for 1 month. This will definitely give you results. As the Powder is rich in Omega 3, it will help you with the pain. Just inform me if you are not getting the powder. And as for the texture, you can use mixture of bengal gram powder, honey, lemon and water in a paste form and apply it on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off. Do this twice a week. Take care. :)

Hi, I'm 26 years old. Recently married. I'm facing lot of hair for issues. Can you please provide me some tips, which can help in reducing my hair fall.

Hi, I'm 26 years old. Recently married. I'm facing lot of hair for issues. Can you please provide me some tips, which...
Taking care of your hair *Take nutritious healthy food *Have regular vigorous physical exercise so that blood circulation reaches hair follicles and nourishes the hair. *Avoid mental stress and smoking and such unhealthy habits. * Have adequate rest and timely sleep. You may have limitations because of your profession, but stick to it as far as possible. *Use warm or cold water for bath and NOT very hot water. * Hard water is harmful. Boiling will reduce hardness. * When the hair is wet, it is weaker and don't rub too much with towel. * Use wide toothed comb so that there is no pulling pressure on the hair. *Your usual hair dye has large doses of ammonia, which changes hair texture, dries out the scalp and almost leads to hair fall

Lemons are naturally rich in vitamin C, the antioxidant that prevents premature aging. Lemons also possess innate skin whitening properties and are quite popular among people with dull skin. Start your day with a glass of lemon juice to flush out those toxins from your body. Wash your face with lemon juice to reap its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits. The peels of this yellow-skinned, juicy fruit can be rubbed on your neck and face to eliminate dark spots too. If you want a cream use photoban 30 SPF OR ----- Mix one egg yolk with 2 tbsp honey and 3 tbsp finely powdered oats to prepare a thick paste. Apply it gently, in upward strokes, and wash off after 20 minutes for a clear complexion. You can do this twice a week for better results.

How to make our face skin glow without side and effects? I need the home remedy for it?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
How to make our face skin glow without side and effects? I need the home remedy for it?
You can make your Face skin glow naturally by Thinking good and Eating good. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish.

Angioedema - An Overview

MBBS(Hons), MD (Gold Medalist) Dermatology
Dermatologist, Kolkata
Angioedema - An Overview

Allergic reactions are the body’s way of responding to foreign substances. The body recognizes these substances (be it food, pollens, insect bites, etc.) as antigens and produces antibodies. These antibodies can cause various reactions depending on the severity of the allergen, be it skin rash, hives, or angioedema. In severe cases, there could be swelling of the tongue and the respiratory tract, leading to choking of the airways.

Literally, angioedema means swelling of the blood vessels. These are located in the underlying layers of the skin and their swelling can lead to formation of giant hives, which can be extremely itchy, reddish, and oval or circular in shape. The affected area I usually warm and painful to touch.

Causes

Angioedema is caused due to the following:

  1. Food allergies including eggs, peanuts, shellfish, milk, tree nuts, chocolates, etc.

  2. Insect bites or stings

  3. Pollen, latex, animal dander, poison ivy, and other common allergens

  4. Medications like aspirin, penicillin, ibuprofen, and some blood pressure medicines

  5. In response to blood transfusions

  6. Auto-immune disorders like lupus

  7. Conditions like leukemia and thyroid disorders

  8. Infections like hepatitis, cytomegalovirus infections, Epstein-Barr infections, etc.

  9. Weather conditions like extremes of cold, heat, or pressure

  10. Extreme emotional stress

  11. Genetic angioedema, passed on from parents to children, which could last forever

While hives usually develop without any warning, the following condition puts a person at risk of developing angioedema.

  1. Predisposition to allergic reactions (highly active immune system)

  2. Previous history of allergies

  3. Genetic history of allergies or angioedema

Most angioedema cases are limited to the skin and hives, but there could be severe cases leading to respiratory distress.

Diagnosis

If it is the first instance of hives, the doctor would ask detailed questions about similar occurrence in the past. They would also check if there are similar hives on other parts of the body like the back, which you may have missed. If required, this examination is followed by allergy testing and blood testing. The allergy testing will help identify if you are allergic to some of the common things which cause allergy. The blood test will look for your eosinophil count, which is usually high in people prone to allergies. C1 esterase inhibitor test and complement particles also can be checked, if there is suspicion of genetic angioedema.

Treatment

This would depend on the severity of symptoms

  1. In case of angioedema, admission in hospital may be needed.
  2. Tracheostomy may also become essential to save patients life.
  3. Vigorous therapy with intravenous medications like steroid, antihistamines and others may be needed.
  4. Under medical treatment, antihistamines like cetirizine and loratadine are prescribed. However, severe cases may require steroids like prednisolone.

Prevention

Once you know what caused it, avoid exposure to these substances and further attacks can be prevented. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor.
