I am overweight due to over weight I feel lethargic, giddiness, neck pain, shoulder pain to back, restless in sleep, heat rash in thigh, ache in calf headache and many other aches and pains in my body due to which am suffering not feel like having food sometimes and I skip my meals as well and from past 2 weeks am suffering from dry cough and running nose. I would like to have a fixed meal plan & tips of how to lead a normal healthy life.

Hi,Thank you for your query. We will be happy to help you. Avoid all outside food that includes junk, processed food as well as food items that are oily, sugary, or salty. Instead eat home cooked meals with 4 to 5 servings of fruits and veggies. Have your dinner early and keep it light. Eat a protein rich breakfast every morning. Avoid unnecessary munching on food. For snacks you can have fruits, sprouts or salad. Drink plenty of water throughout the day; especially before meals. Exercise at least 5 days a week, 30 minutes each time. We are here to guide you. On rising take 1 glass of luke warm water with lemon juice and honey in the morning for 15 days in a month. Or a cinnamon tea helps 2 lose weight rapidly take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily and with a dash of honey. Do yoga exercise and spot reduction exercises surya namaskar, yoga asans like bhujangasana (cobra pose), sarvangasana (shoulder stand pose, vajrasana (diamond pose), pavanamuktasana (wind-relieving pose), matsyasana (fish pose) try 2 avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates. Use more watery vegetable and fruits. Avoid root vegetables like potato. Do not use curd, sweets esp milk made sweets.

Maintain input out put ratio. Whatever you eat calculate calories that called input calories after that do exercise and burn some calories that is out put calories. Eat less exercise more weight will loos have a barley soup at dinner have a dinner at 8.00pm and sleep at 10---11.00pm. Avoid rice at night.

Hello lybrate user- you are clearly over weight. At this stage you need some ayurvedic treatment along with the diet plan to achieve expected results. Try these modifications- a) wake up early in the morning and practice kapalbhati pranayam, it will benefit both in obesity and in diabetes. B) avoid junk food and excess use of potato. C) avoid excess water intake and over eating. D) add oat sattu in your diet daily two times. E) use arogya wardhini vati 1 tab twice daily after meals.
